  • This video is the moment that I am waiting for. I consider Part 11 to be the best I Love Toy Trains video ever, and for many reasons. It has the NYC Streamliners, Grand Prix Racing, The Swing Bridge, Vinny (AGAIN!), The Blue Comet, Magic Jeff, Fast Eddie, and the Aliens from Outer Space. But I'm also glad that I'd done the Toy Train Hall Of Fame countdown for the last time, because I'm already tired of doing that. This project is very tedious to do thanks to my constant rambling and praises of this video. Well anyway, enjoy! Prepare for the awesomeness and stuff.
I do not own nor endorse any of the footage uploaded on here. The video series was made for educational and entertainment purposes.

3:01 I always thought the person in the silver car looks a lot like Nancy from Thomas the Tank Engine.
Also, this is by far the only ILTT episode not to feature any real trains. I really wish the NYC Hudsons are preserved because they are also unique streamlined engines.

What is it with Union Pacific engines taking a dip in this installment? I can almost imagine Gordon in 3983’s place: “Get me out! Get me out!” The ALCO diesel was the better of the two, though. As for “Ghosts of the Rails,” which is a fitting description of the Dreyfus Hudson, Empire State Express, Mercury, and Commodore Vanderbilt, that and “Take Me to Your Leader” are two of my favorite ILTT songs, along with Part 10’s “Boxcar Boogie.”

When I was younger, I only had this video on the Parts 10, 11, 12 VHS Compilation. And The VHS cut the Postwar Hall of Fame segment in the Part 11 portion possibly because of the amount of time. It wasn’t until I got the DVD compilation when I saw the Postwar Hall of Fame included, and it wasn’t until 2016 when I got the separate VHS tape of #11. The same treatment happened with #12

I do like how goofy this episode is with magic and aliens. I also liked the NYC tribute. Shame NYC scrapped a lot of their steam locomotives. I also like how we get to see more of the TM Prewar layout in this episode. It is an improvement over part 10 but it’s not the best episode.
