I was a mouth breather for most of my life, I had a receeding chin and it was very unattractive and especially from the side profile. I didnt know it was from mouth breathing but once I discovered that mouth breathing can make you look uglier I forced myself to start nose breathing, it has now been over a year since I started nose breathing and my face is much more structured, jawline and cheek bones are more prominent 🤩 super happy with the changes to my face. Im 20 years old and started this when I was 19

@@sonimathew9901 search up videos on how to breathe through your nose or mewing, your tongue should be placed against the roof of your mouth. It’s definitely hard to nose breathe in the beginning but every time you catch yourself mouth breathing switch to nose breathing and the more you breathe through your nose the easier it’ll be become. Nose breathing also filters out bacteria wheras mouth breathing wouldnt which for me was really important with the Coronavirus going around so that also helped motivate me

Maybe because they have a hard time understanding your point? People tend to discard the idea of a problem when they are struggling understanding it in the first place.
Confront them by showing pictures of mouth breathers and maybe pointing out comparable features some family members might share with mouth breathers. Call it shock therapie.
In the end its a good thing you learned about the dangers for yourself and for your future children.

In school i knew many mouth breathers and many where unattractive and some where super depressed and even would get angry at me being like "that's easy for you too say" when it came to dating and hooking up with girls, this should literally be teached in school I'm serious! Due to me breathing through my nose i started to naturally raise my tongue to the roof of my mouth. Doing that caused my whole face to reshape. my teeth have always been straight and Ive never had cavities in the 27 years ive been here. I think if i never would have started nose breathing, alot of things would have been different for me probably not for the better

Hey! I really find all of you videos extremely useful and important (and I really think that you should have and need more views!)
A couple of months ago, I noticed that my chin, in the profile view of my face, looks too far back, and upon doing some research and learning more about the topic, began to notice that many are like me, but also many have their upper lips, chin, and forehead in a vetical line.
I took it upon myself to improve my posture. I looked back at the few videos of me taken just randomly and noticed I walked with my head forward, and it just looked wrong. I have since corrected that, and now I have some questions on oral posture - should the teeth be together? And how exactly should the tongue feel in my mouth? I have huge tonsils and I am genuinely convinced they are part of the reason why my facial features are out of whack.
People have said to me that I look 'older' once or twice, and I suspect that it is due to the already subtle positive changes that are occurring in my facial structure, but I am curious if even at 16 years old there is still hope for me?
    Thanks!

Interesting. I take a single 8mg ephedrine pill before bed just to keep my sinuses clear while I sleep. We really do need to pay more attention to the things around us that cause inflammation or we'll find ourselves mouth breathing all night. It could be pets, it could be losing weight, it could be cleaning more often.

I guess a lot of people become mouth breathers at the childhood stage when their adult teeth come through . As a child you have adult teeth in a young persons head. I’m sure this is the reason the mouth is forced open to accommodate the larger teeth.

I’m in need of some help and maybe you can offer some advice. I’ve been having a mouth breathing issue for the past few years because of my bite. Because of that it has changed my quality of sleep and for a long time now when I wake up I feel extremely tired and suffer from daytime sleepiness. I often wake up while I’m sleeping, sleep apnea is what I think it is mainly because my jaw is misaligned. I understand once I have my surgery and begin the healing process this problem should solve itself but that’s roughly a month from now. I feel that this is taking a toll on me and having the energy and focus to complete everyday tasks is becoming difficult because I am always tired no matter how long I sleep. I need something to help me bridge the time until my surgery date that maybe can improve my sleep. I’ve tried wrapping a shirt around my jaw and head to keep my mouth shut while sleep and taping my mouth but no help. A friend mentioned a CPAP machine to me, I did a lot of research on this but I wasn’t able to find any information on if this could help someone with a misaligned bite. I have become a victim of mouth breathing for so long that my muscle memory to breathe through my nose on a consistent basis seems to be ruined. Is there any specific doctor or sleep specialist I should go see
