1-You can replace commercial ration, by sugar cane colmo. The larvae can be produced exclusive by sugar colmos.
2-it is possible to reduce the production cycle and interfere in metabolic routes, it is possible to induce the bark changes in larva. Both Tenebrio Molitor and giant Tenebrio, all larvae, after eating 1 fruit, change bark between 24 to 48 hours. 1 carton: 38cm x 28 cm x 37 cm, can produce from 3.5 to 4, 0kg of larvae. Exclusively with sugar cane colmos. The fruit used was a solanacea. The research was conducted for 2 years in Santa Catarina, southern Brazil. I'm an agronomic engineer, posgraduated in molecular biology.
3 - To produce pupae you can pick up adult larvae, and put in insulated plastic cup, without food, they transfroma into pupae, epsecially Tenebrio giant.
4 - o reduce cannibalism can be used larvae of other insects, such as forage larva.
    And should improve the diet.
5 - To reduce production cost you can exclusively use stalk of sugar cane for larvae. In the 0.5 cm breeding box for chicken feed and sugar colmo.
    Don't use anything else.
OBS: The larva of the Forgeira can be a bed plague of industrial aviary. I studied Biologico control of poultry litter pests. In fact this plague can be drastically reduced from aviaries. Biologico control is inexpensive and simple.
We can removeer billion of insect larvae, per day, as well as adult insects, insect billion can be removed from the aviary, every day. is a small and black coleoptero, produces larvae, billion of larvae can be found in bed of aviary. I studied this plague for two years. It is possible to drastically reduce this pest or even eradicate, or keep at levels extremely low, easy, fast and low cost.

I'm also breeding crickets. The crickets hatched today, I actually thought the were ants, they are so tiny! I tested and saw them jump when I touched them 😅.

Your boxes are very nicely made. I'm thinking about purchasing it and I have a question: if I wanted to use a maximum of one colony of adult insects, how many floors would I have to build and how big would the flock have to be to use the full laying cycle as in a flock, on this area of the box? ;)? I hope you understand what I mean ;)
