Excellent methodology for studying! ... 1) Saving the studying of chapters/sections that carry more weight on the test, so as to be fresher in your memory, 2) Your use of index/flash cards, 3) Writing things down actually is best imprinting memories into my mind, 4) Concentrating on things that you find difficult, and disregarding that which already know, 5) Refreshing your memory on critical formulas or conversions just prior to entering the exam room, so you can write them down for use during the exam, etc. etc. ... Brilliant!

As part of the application process for Walgreens, they require that I take a timed test in which I type in sig codes to represent that written on a Doctor's prescription. My question is about format. Through researching various lists of sig codes, I find that inconsistencies exist. Some abbreviations are capitalized, but others are not, and some use periods, but others do not. Is there a straight forward explanation? Is there a PTCB standard that Walgreens software would recognize? If so, I couldn't find one.

And my results came in, in a week! I got the results through my email from ptcb!

I found inconsistencies in capitalization and the use of periods. This is the best list that I found ... ( www.chartercollege.edu/news-hub/72-abbreviations-every-pharmacy-tech-needs-know ). Also, Wikipedia says capitalization and the use of periods is a matter of style, which I take to mean it is not relevant. It also advises writing out words, so as to avoid confusion, but I take that as instructions to Doctors who do hand-written prescriptions. Here is that link ... ( www.chartercollege.edu/news-hub/72-abbreviations-every-pharmacy-tech-needs-know ). This issue is important to me, because I am preparing to take a timed test where I am required to type sig codes when I am shown an on-screen prescriptions, which is required when applying to Walgreens.
