I got chased by bounty hunters. I tried to escape. They shot my horse. I tried to reanimate it but wolves came and killed me before i could do anything. My thoroughbred is now gone. I called it Rocky the third. It had a mohawk and loved trees. I was aiming to make Arthur a honorable man but he took an other path since the loss

My bf accidentally got his thoroughbred killed by a train. He ended up reloading an earlier save to get it back. He said it wasn't the honorable thing but he wanted his horse back, lol.

I only ride big war horses for a very practical reason. If you crash into someone riding on the trail, the War Horses can be big enough to literally kill the horse you crashed into. No witnesses no bounty lol

I still prefer the white arabian. It’s fast and it accelerates fast. If you time it right, you can do a robbery, runaway on your horse and not get a bounty. But it only works with fast horses like arabian

Crazy knife I Agree! There should be an option to buy your own stable and store horses around the map for you to use at your disposal when you see fit. I mean in GTA5 there are garages you can purchase and store vehicles. With so many horses it would be nice to have a collection of steeds.
@@unclejohn4528 how do you keep owning more than 2 horses you stole? They keep erasing one of mine. Ex: I have a White Arabian, Turkoman, and Thoroughbred that is at my stable. If I take my Turkoman, steal a horse, and put my saddle on the stolen horse, they always take my white arabian that was at the camp. The only horse available to call up is the Thoroughbred which was already there. Arabian is just gone so I stopped at 2 horses.

It might not be the best horse, but the dutch warmblood called Buell is a beautiful horse. You get given him after meeting a guy named Hamish. Once you complete his side story you will be given the horse.
Buell is arguably the rarest horse and Rachel. Noticed there so special, i cant even change there name. Once they die i think thats IT! Next the Whit Splashed American Paint because of its random spawn (makes it a pain to find😐) Last by rarity White Arabian and Tiger Striped Bay Mustang in equal measure. They cannot be purchased, yet have a permanent spawn location.

I got Buell and I loved him so much. I made my promise to take care of him after Hamish gave him to me to care for and [spoilers ig] when the last mission came around. I couldn't avoid it and I'll be honest. I cried.
Kunader AV buell is probably the bravest horse in the game though, I got in a shootout in valentine and he had no health or stamina bar left and his cores were all red but he didn't buck me or even move at all when he was getting shot. I wasn't even paying attention to his health but he wasn't flinching so I thought he was still pretty high.
i fell in love with buell as soon as i saw him, but he was quickly mowed down by a pack of bounty hunters and i was killed before i could revive him. i tried to exit asap before it saved but when i returned there was a saddle sitting on the ground in front of me - tragedy

I switched yesterday from the white Arabian to this one. I couldn't stand the Arabian always being 'agitated' while riding fast. For me, the most important characteristics of these horses are stamina (same as black Arabian) and speed (faster by 1 than the Arabians) as well as their character and how much they get spooked by a snake or a cougar. Love the champagne color as well...

David Mako - So this horse has exhibited sturdier behavior around predators and the like for you? Cuz up to now I haven't seen any discernable difference between the horse breeds, or the bond level for that matter, when it comes to stresses like predatory animals. And I've gotten 6 types to level 4 bond so far, including all the top breeds (save for the Foxtrotter).
In my opinion the mechanic doesn't work. An Arabian, or war horse, or any other breed that's described as being sturdy and calm when fully bonded with you will quickly become hysterical and paralyzed with fear the instant a goddamn wolf or cougar spawns on the map, resist your control and dump you on your ass the first chance they get to get torn to pieces. Right now the mechanic just doesn't work in my experience.
Why should I spend my time bonding with these horses if they behave the same under stress from level 1 to level 4? There's no reward there save for some special handling moves which don't help you one bit when your horse is crazy with fear while you're trying to dispatch a couple of wolves. They need to address this. We should be seeing CLEAR differences in the behavior of our most loyal horses when confronted by dangers! Especially breeds that are described as being this way (Ardennes, Arabian, etc).
U guys must be doing something wrong I can run my white Arabian all throughout the map and it never hesitates at all but it is maxed out completely

I got my missoury fox trotter while still in chapter 2 by accident. It was on of those random events where this one lady had her horse died while riding to Emerald Ranch and you have the option to give her a ride. The event happened for the second time and this time her horse didn’t actually die and laying on the ground, but alive probably a glitch and that horse is the grey whitish spotted coat Missoury fox trotter. I quickly swith the saddle and happily gave the lady a ride to emerald ranch, for the 2nd time.

I still maintain that they should've spent a little more budget on horse hair. Carriage horses have PS1 texture hair that stands on end super weirdly once you pick up speed.

Dmen05 it’s kinda too bad that the wild horses don’t have slightly more randomized stats. Some of em should have a couple extra bars of speed or a bit of extra stamina. Itd make it way more practical to go tame one.

Missouri foxtrotter is my favorite breed by far. Best horse to ride in real life too, it's called a foxtrotter because of it's impressive and relaxing gait. Smoothest horse I've ever ridden. I'm from Missouri so I'm a bit biased but a wonderful horsebreed and I was disappointed I had to wait so long to get one but totally stoked they gave it respectable stats.

I still like the shire that you get at the beginning when you get introduced to the first stable. That horse is big and black. Wait, that didnt come out the way I wanted....But anyway, he isn't very fast, but he looks really cool. He is one huge horse and has a deep black color to him. I named him midnight and I use him whenever I'm doing something that doesn't need a long distance or speed

You don't have to wait till later or buy them. Go North of Saint Denis there is a red barn and right down the road from that Barn on the left hand side of the road are three houses, one has a red roof. Behind those houses are two horses. They respawn to new horses everytime you ride around the block and come back. You don't have to break them but you might lose honor and if anyone sees you they might or might not report you as a horse thief. You must do it during the day or the horses won't be there. If you don't see what you want and you ride around the block and come back and see the same two horses ride around again but a little further and come back and they will have changed. You can get every single horse in the game that way if you have the patience to keep trying you will eventually get whatever it is you want.

Since the very start ive been rocking the iron grey roan warhorse. Huge horse and VERY durable! Also came with the special edition so its not lost if you kill it somehow.

I have a white arabian named general lee but lately my favorite horse is the kentucky saddler. They start off kinda average speed but once u max bonding they become fast and are a damn fine horse and some beautiful coats as well one of mine is like the color.of cherry stained wood with white spots
you went from one of the fastest horses obtainable to one of the slowest?? you know arabian has twice as much speed and acceleration and health and is completely free, right?? and it's completely snow white, making it look better than any kentucky saddler. NPC's will even comment on it, and say it looks beautiful and such!

After bonding the kentucky saddler thier speed goes way up big strong horse and beautiful coats too. Stand firm during a 🔫 fight as well plus if ya lose it it it dies... Ur not out of ur favorite 🐎 and have several back ups

People just don’t know when to calm your horse and get the bonding level max quickly. Or just not fail while riding. Go with the arabian if you consider yourself a rider.

Just FYI if reading this 3 years later you can get a pinto Missouri fox trotter really early in chapter 2 basically as soon as you start the game. It's a pain but looks much better than this one, it's beautiful and you can get it when you do the first quest for the guy that takes all the pictures when he wants the pictures of the horses. One of them is a pinto Missouri fox trotter. You have to track it the whole time while doing the quest, finish the quest while it's still being tracked then track it down, definitely save before you start the quest because it's really fuckin hard, if you stop tracking at any point after the quest it's gone.

I have this horse as my main as well. This horse will run all the way across the map without stimulants, that's how much stamina it has. Arabians just look too small for Arthur even though they are good horses, but also too jittery and hopeless around predators.

The Missouri Fox Trotter has always been my horse of choice over the Arabian, the Arabians are good horses don’t get me wrong, but they’re too skittish and small for me. I’ve had my Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter since chapter 2, and I didn’t even have to buy it or get it from any bounty hunters... I’m sure some of you know about the “glitch” or “cheat” that is found in Saint Denis, where in between two houses random horses spawn there, and if you try a couple of times you’ll be able to maybe get the horse you were looking for. I went in looking for a Fox Trotter and by the 5th time I had him. His name is Napoleon and he’s the best horse ever! I didn’t do a good job at explaining the cheat, but seriously just look up on CZcams “Saint Denis horse spawn rdr2” and it will surely come up. :)
Got a Painted Missouri fox trotter in chapter 2 and named him Moonshine based off of a horse I know in real life.
Also the Foxtrotter is a lot more calm for hunting and gun battles.
You can get a beautiful Dutch warmblood free. There’s a man who looks for gold in many different locations many times you have to happen upon him. However, if you wait sometimes he finds gold, other times he doesn’t. If he cheers, kill him, take his gold nugget that he finds and steal his horse which will always be a bay dapple Dutch warmblood.

Thats acually my horse before and his name is kendrick, i sell it because kendrick is sick for a red eyed disease and he was sick for a year right now. John was trying to cure the missouri kendrick and its not worth it. So I sell it yesterday in the blackwater stable and giving him the good goodbyes. The stable owners took him to mexico to make him warm, its more sad than arthurs.
I got the silver dapple pinto Missouri fox trotter in chapter 2 I believe. It must have been a glitch bc this lady was walking away from it saying her horse died but I hopped on it and gave her a ride home on her own horse...the horse was sickly till I brought it to the stable...
I found the silver dapple pinto behind a little cluster of 3 houses just north of saint dennis.. beautiful horse. By far my favorite

You can get an even more exotic one from the stables in Blackwater once at Epilogue. Its a gray/white pinto and looks great!
You can't get her until you play as Johnny Boy- but the Tiger Striped Mustang and the Silver Mustang (stallion) are my two personal favorites.
I also love the All Black American Standardbred, but manoshevitz is that one a wimp. It's afraid of its own farts, for God's Sake.
The Hungarian Halfbreed is a good choice, two, just because as a war horse, they don't give a SHYTE. Standing on an alligator's take? Shure. Riding into a lobo camp hurling dynamites? No problemo.
Buehl, however, I feel is probably the best horse in the game, just to be honest. He just looks a little whacky if you have a super fancy teevee set, kr you are playing on ps5; He falls into the "maybe too hinder to look real" thing that certain parts of Ghost of Tsushima (ie Iki Island) look on ps5. Some stuff gets so sharp that it looks like it's made out of shiny plastic...
I recently bought the silver dapple fox Trotter because it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, I was supposed to by the Turkmen but he just stole my heart. I called him Silver and he was my first horse to ever down because I tried to Skyrim a mountain
If you didn’t know, you can just hold the button down to go straight to the map rather then hitting it then clicking on map.
I used the white Arabian up to the when I started playing John then finished the game with the thoroughbred

I ride a nakota or whatever it’s called. I stole it from a man that wanted to race me. It’s a white roan. It’s not as fast as the Arabian, but it’s bigger and stronger. It’s loyal as hell, took me forever to get that horse to settle down. She kicked me three or four times
The gold Turkoman is a very close contender, which was what I currently have. Though I did a Missouri Foxtrotter in my first playthrough, and if was a great mount.
Am I the only one, who found one just standing with a saddle by the side of the road? I’m only in chapter 2, and it was just standing there. It’s a great horse😊.
People say that the Missouri Fox Trotter never gets spooked, but I don't understand why mine gets scared by literally anything. Maybe it's because it isn't the Silver Dappled Pinto idk.
I'm on my first playthrough, and I sold my amber MFT. I couldn't stand her. Even in level 3 bonding she was the freakiest horse I ever had. Going through Saint Denis on her was a NIGHTMARE because if I could so much as bumped by someone else she was off at a panicked canter and running someone over. I kept the Braithwaite's black Arabian with an exploit in that mission, and he is my best horse. I've run several missions with him. He's up there with the nerves of steel my raven black Shire displays. The MFT... I got fed up with her. I spent most of Chapter 2 and 3 with the red chestnut Arabian, and he was great, too. I was so excited to try out the MFT. I hated every moment of ownership of that horse.
Purchased this beauty and Ardennes today, will keep swapping between the two. Somehow I like the Ardennes solely because of size

I found one of the grey white ones at the stables near Saint Denis. Its the best looking horse imo.
I have two rose gray Arabians a male and female. One as my main horse and the other as my bonded follow horse. I can switch from either as my main to bonded following horse just by removing saddle and saddling up to the other. Both of my horses are level four. I haven’t owned a foxtrot yet but I love Arabians. I like their fuss especially when hunting as they warn me of predators and danger near by with the fuss. Yes I have gotten bucked by my main horse when a cougar was about to attack but my bonded following horse ran up to me as that happen buying me a few seconds of protection from the cougar to kill it with an arrow from my bow. For some reason once you reach level four on your Arabians horses they literally don’t tire out when running them unless you got them loaded down with large animal hides being stowed on their backs. But all I do when that happens is stop and jump on the other horse and I’m ready to go with a fresh level four Arabian with full health and full stamina. On a side note, I brought one rose gray and got the other free buy stealing it at saint denis. Before I stole my second Arabian I had the all full black standard thorough bred that I stole in armadillo. I also have a black Arabian that I don’t use much, by stealing it in black water. I notice they spawn behind the saloon. I also still have old buell that I got free from the veteran that I’m debating on selling to get me this foxtrot that everyone is seeming to like.
The other coat that the Fox Trotter uses looks better and matches with the hair colors that you were putting on.
I've had it with my Arabian the amount of times I got bucked off and ended up getting killed by cougars and wolves is ridiculous got rid of it and got myself a Fox Trotter best horse ever!

Rose Grey Bay Arabian Horse is best horse when comes to stamina when fully bonded. When comes to health Rose Grey Bay Arabian, Turkoman, Strawberry Roan Ardennes, Perlino Andalusian and Rose Grey Andalusian is best both health 10 when fully bonded. When comes to speed is Missouri Fox Trotter and Brindle Throughout Bred best 10 when fully bonded but among these horses Missouri Fox Trotter best because health and stamina higher. One of the best things about horse breeds in Red Dead Redemption 2 is best of all fastest horses available in Chapter 4 is Missouri Fox Trotter available in Scarlett Stable.
Did you know that there are two guys that I know of right know that you can race to get a +1 to speed and bond quicker when spurring perk for your horses?

I want the white and grey version so bad, but I just found out it’s an endgame horse ugh. :( It’s by far the most beautiful I’ve seen. You can see the stallion when u are doing the quest with the photographer, when u help him take a photo of some wild horses.... damn I want that one so bad!

The white Arabian is super easy to catch. But the Rose Grey one is in black water. You can try to get it but... yea
In the end you can unlock the Rose.

My favourite horse atm is my Blue Roan Nokota, I just love that colour, she’s awesome!
Hey just started the game and was able to stumble upon the Foxtrotter coming out of the camp in chapter two headed towards the MJ mission. The bad guys had jammed me up and one of their horses was a Foxtrot. I saved the game after completing the Loan shark missions and was able to reload the game. So far Ive had lucky with the Turk, Fox, tiger strip mustang, and standard breeds

After the epilogue the best horse is unlocked, it’s golden Turkoman and in the Saint Denis stables, think it cost me $1050
It’s race/war, so it’s tall and quick, tall is just a personal preference

I adore fox trotters! They're one of the big 3 the others being Arabians and Turkamons. They're meaty, brave and down right beautiful.
I got Aurther the amber and named her Unshaken, before I watched the end I was excited to swap to the silver but afterwards I bought another amber and named her Aurther's Pride.

So after watching this video I went and tried to get the black Missouri trotter, but it never spawned, I looked maybe 50 times, so I went and bought the bronwish one in Rhodes, very cool horse, then I looked in my stable, because I bought the limited edition, I got a thoroughbred dapple thing, a race horse with even faster attributes than the trotter or the Arabian.
So I had the white arabian, the black arabian, my thoroughbred, and this trotter, all nice horses, the guy at the stable said,
"You must be a conisoure "(sory mis spelled)
Then, when I did the mission with Mis Grimshaw to go get Tilly in Chapter 4, you can take the black and white cow looking horse in that mission which I usually do, and it also has very good speed and stamina, I sold it as I didnt need another horse.
Before I did that mission, I had a shire, a huge beast of a horse, I hadnt used it much yet, I was saving for swamp stuff, it is huge and doesnt spook, and there was an icon on it at my camp, with a "U", so I looked and it said Uncle rustling, but in the morning after that mission I just did, when I came back with the cow pattern horse, my shire was gone and so was the white icon indicating an interaction and the word, "rustling", was gone too, I dunno why or what happened to my shire.
Anyway the trotter is my favorite, but I forgot that the dapple thoroughbred you get with the special edition has nearly the same attributes and a beautiful coat, with spots and stuff, it looks amazing.
Thanks for the video, I really wanted to find that trotter in St Denis you showed but the darn thing just never ever spawns, matter of fact only tenn, morgans and one other spawn, nothing fancy ever.
Im excited for the epilogue now so I can buy that one in Blackwater, last time I played through I did buy a nice horse for John, it was like 950$ and fast, I forget which one, I havent loaded that game up in a while, but this time, I am on a horse bender, and after taming the white Arabian, which is really rewarding to do, I love that horse just because of what I went through to get it, but now im open to looking at what is out there, the trotter does spook by the way been thrown a few times for gators and once just in am ambush.
The horse is fully bonded and has almost full speed attributes, I think it has 2 spaces left to fill in that bar that shows the speed..

My beloved lvl 4 white arabian just suddenly died because it was dirty. It didn't get shot or fall or anything it just died. R.I.P Ahmed Abdullah
Tip : you can use the cheat ‘you want something new’ to spawn in a foxtrotter and stable it
My White Arabian died (I think I accidentally killed it) 😖, I guess now it's time to get this horse. For some odd reason another White Arabian showed at my camp while my other one was still alive, I then mounted the horse & went to the stable to get the horse. I still have the glitched White Arabian, I just don't want to do bonding on another Arabian.
Everyone else has fancy ass horses with great stats and I’m just here with the pure black American standardbred that I stole from a stranger. :’)

Drug lord Gozalez Rodriguez Gachas 1 million dollar horse was a missouri Fox Trotter. Wich could gallop doing a 8 foward and backwards. Its name was Tupac Amaru, named after a Peruvian indigenous general that led a rebellion against the spanish in 1800s. My in game horse name is Tupac Amaru 2. Also have an american standard her name is Angel Eyes named after Angel eyes from the good, bad and the ugly. Love both horses.
I never use an Arabian horse in any of my playthrough because it's too small. Even though big horses are not fast they are still tough.
If you guys are looking for a BIG, GOLD, FAST, MUSCULAR, Horse then check out the side mission with the Vet. After doing the third mission with him he ends up giving you the horse free, its a gold dutch warmblood I believe! Its a turkoman on steroids!

In red dead online,the arabian is technecly better than the missouri fox trotter in stats and a little more acceleration speed it costs 42 gold bars i painfully grinded to get that horse id say it was worth it but missouri fox trotter is cheeper but its your choice.
Why isn’t the akhal teke not in this game,they should add it,it’s not the fastest horse in real life but it’s definitely the most beautiful.
The Turkomen is an Akhal Teke. the Akhal Teke is just a modern version of the breed.

Been liking the one I have so far.
I like Buell. He’s a tough boy but he has an awful habit of throwing me, over snakes.. ugh 😑 I switch between him, my preorder warhorse and the tiger striped mustang. The mustang and the Ardennes aren’t easily spooked, like Buell is. I’m not a fan of the Arabians. Too tiny and not unique. Buell and the Ardennes will instakill people and their horses if I accidentally run into them at full speed 😬 overall, my Ardennes war horse has the looks, health, speed and courage that I want. I’m glad I didn’t finish Buell’s quest until the epilogue though. He’s gorgeous and has a funny personality. I used my Ardennes throughout the story.
