There are no premade twins or triplets in the base game. No premade triplets overall and the only premade twins are in Discover University. For a game with more than 10 worlds, I think we need more premade twin/triplet sims.
Also even if you are a twin you are just listed as slinking. Their should be a hidden relationship titled twin for twins.

One fascinating thing is that Johnny Zest will always have a set of twins in my game (either his first or 2nd pregnancy with a female sim). Also, his "mum" Nancy will too! Hmmm... hidden twin trait in that family line? Although they aren't officially related so...

I agree with a lot of what you have here. I would also add, that EA should add more autonomous behavior based on the sims traits for the sim we play as and for the sims we interact with that we don't control. A very good example of this would be if your sim is dating a townie (a sim you are not controlling) and the townie has commitment issues then randomly (no matter how well the relationship is going) that sim would "autonomously" break up with your sim. likewise, if your sim is in a relationship with a sim that is a romantic then the townie sim that is romantic might autonomously propose to your sim. Basically, just give sims more control of their lives that are based on the traits they have. I just don't want to micromanage everything that happens in the game!
If you want your Sims to autonomously break up then add their partner as roommates (that option comes with University I think), roommates always end up hating each other and the Sims break up
I would also like to see more likes and dislikes for my sims in the CAS system, (i.e. dislike lazy sims, likes rainy days, likes socializing, likes keeping to oneself, etc.)

The styled looks... YES! I can't even tell you how long I spent looking for "save as style" when the game came out. My brain just refused to beleive the button wasn't there somewhere!
I wish we were able to make pregnant sims in CAS. I think it would make it easier to create a family's backstory or if you were trying to create a real family in the sims. Idk I would like it in the game.

When they do Sims 5 they need to go backwards. The random surprises, and unexpected sudden deaths from Sims 1 (and picture in picture mode again pleeeaase). The fleshed out characters and lore from Sims 2 (amazing), the absolute creative freedom, story progression (user controlled), and open world from Sims 3, and the amazing build options now in Sims 4. I also miss the difficulty that used to exist. Everything from building relationships, to getting rich is a few taps on the screen in 4, it so easy it is boring.
Not only could you save an outfit (or single designed clothing piece) in 3 to use again on another sim, you could make build/buy mode collections of your own. So you could have custom themes if you wanted, or you could break up clutter and organize it by room etc., and it was right there in build/buy at the touch of a button, all the things you want to quickly access without searching.. Why these have been taken away is beyond comprehension. Why take something so useful away?
I find it annoying they just totally abandoned whims. But I also don't want them back on without an overhaul and back up like you mentioned. They are useless as they are, and without actually fitting your Sim's personality.

Recently I made a savefile where I remade the townies (not deleting any) and it's sad that it had to be me to add the relationships between townies like Zest and the Landgrabs.
Also want an updated family tree where every sim related to yours appears, like your cousins. Not sure if nephews appear.
I'd like to see a "Disgusted" emotion similar to how they added the "Scared" emotion. Instead of always getting uncomfortable from dirty environments and bad dishes, etc., they could get disgusted at whatever is causing them to feel that way.
I'd actually love this. I've never thought about it, but it'd be great to have your neat sims be disgusted by anything your slob sims do (ie fart or not flush the toilet), or maybe even be disgusted by PDA, or a "bad parent" from the neighborhood. I really love this idea.
Although, I like that sims 2 and 4 basegame had multiple worlds. Sims 4 worlds should be bigger.
And yeah, we need more relationships in CAS. I want to recreate Pauline Wan and Hank Goddard from Sunset Valley, but since they were fianceés, if I want to update them to the Gallery (I won't, my sims are ugly) I have to make them fianceés in-game.
The Sims 4 base game is really pretty in looks, tho.

I want more base game aspirations that are challenging. TS4 needs new aspirations for children; 4 just isnât enough and aspirations for teens. They recently added a hair from parenthood game pack to base game in an update (and theyâve done it a couple times before where they added a hair from a pack to base game) just make new hair; give us more unique content
It would also be nice if the relationship panel has a section separating sims that your sim has 'heard rumours about' or has 'briefly met', let call it commune relationship category (it can be a purple bar that grows everytime you 'hang out' with said sim, the decay for this category should be high/medium to prevent sims clogging up your relationship panel).
At least then, when your sim makes a friend it means something. Being friends means that sim was persistently invited by your sim to hang out. So they built up their relationship, you know?
At least it would be easier to build a rumour system in the sims 4 that could also mean more consequences. Like if you're busy trying to get a sim out of the commune relationship into the friendship relationship, and a bad rumour spreads because there are lots of sims that hate your sim, then the sim you're trying to befriend could just not talk to you for a period of time (the commune relationship purple bar then decreases ever sim day that you don't hang out with them and then they forget your sim)... Or maybe the rumour mill makes it hard for your sim to find work (for most careers except the criminal career-a career which they should really update btw)... Or maybe if you have Get To Work, no one wants to be employed by your sim...
It's a good way to introduce consequences for your actions as you play the game. Since it's hard to build relationships, it'll be harder to do things in game.
I would love to see more outside of my own lot activities for my sims to participate in other than festivals, such as carnivals, summer camping trips/vacations/hotels/motels/tourist attractions, shopping sprees/malls, and maybe even boats/cars/planes/other forms of transportation than we currently don't have.
I've been simming for about a year and a half, and I just recently learned you actually can have a vacation. I'm not just talking about calling into work or school and declaring a vacation, you can actually make a vacation lot in base game. I can't remember the steps to doing it, but I have done it at least twice since learning you can do it, and I actually really enjoyed it. It added more realism to my game as vacations are quite common for many people, and if you have Seasons, you can use it to add activities for each day you're on vacation. After a few days, your sims will start to get homesick, so I'd recommend only taking 3 days max. One more thing to note, it does cost money just like in real life. For instance, you may have to spend $200/day you are staying. If your sim even has the money for a short vacation, I recommend trying this feature at least a couple times. It's not as great as it could be, but I've used this feature for honeymoons and family vacation (I used Seasons to design a fun "schedule" of activities for both vacations) during the few days I give my sims for summer vacation. I highly recommend this underrated gameplay feature.
The hair wheel of the sims 3 was epic. You can choose the roots the highlight the base color and create unique colors of hairs. I miss that soooooo much!!!! Also save the look. I would love to have the sims 3 with the graphics of the 4.
Omg we need story progression! I hate that my sims just age up, they donât get married, they donât have kids without me going in and adding them.

Before mccc I hade to go through every family and have them have babies and I always had a sim living with my family so I could work on getting them married. It was so much work

I would love to see a world with way more lots - even a bunch of small ones! If you play with a legacy family, you so quickly fill up all the lots on the base game worlds. Then you have to make the choice which of your families to move out so you can have families that are not related to you live in the world too.
agreed, I think we have way to many big lots. I also wish they had more empty lots in the expansion packs.

More Aspirations are absolutely necessary to improve this game. It gives the player a reason to try parts of the gameplay they usually wouldnât try. A randomize button for the Aspiration would be good to have too. Also, I think that every career in the game should have an Aspiration associated with it. Like not every other person wants to be a Painter, not every other personâs main goal is to find their soulmate. If my Sim wants to be a Paranormal Investigator, what Aspiration am I supposed to pick for that?
Obviously the Grilled Cheese aspiration. It's perfect for sims that are struggling to find meaning, or just for the challenge it brings towards the end.
It's worth noting that they are doing an overhaul for all pre-made families. Hopefully it will be here soon. You probably already know that but just putting it out there!
Completely agree with all points you made. There are a couple of others I would add:
-Make age groups more relevant! Make kids have moodlets/whims which make them feel like kids! Teenagers need more...well teenage things to do like sneaking out, acne, fist kisses etc.
-Make the lot types more relevant. What's the difference between a nightclub and a Lounge? Is there any point in museums? Why can't my sims creations appear in the museum/art gallery?
Top 5 things I want to see
1- Rebuild the default save-state of the game. Buildings remade by game changers. Remake Sims, relationships, and lore fit within the Sims timeline of previous games.
2- Rabbit holes for work/shops/etc added to the environmental building shells to combat the excessive amount of set dressing
3- Addition of "lifetime" wants as an open-ended long-term goal for sims as an alternative to existing quest-based aspirations.
4- Whims updated to be relevant to sims personality and expanded across all packs.
5- Emotions tweaked and tuned to allow related emotions boost each other (not just happy boosting positive moodlets)
Given that they have just launched new palettes for furnitures in the latest update, adding new palettes for more subtle hair colours should not be much of a stretch.
Meanwhile, strange enough, maybe my playing style is more focusing on my created sims (or probably my _simnmatic universe_ if you will) than the original townies, I don't really care how the Landgraabs or the Goths are doing, like, at all. Sure, they might want to come around to hang out with my sims, and I don't really mind.
Also, as a relatively new simmer, I think I have just found out how to have whims (or what I used to call, thought cloud thingies) shown above my sim's heads. I had totally no idea what they are and used to thought, well, it might be some additional features when I saw them in other more experienced simmers' videos.
Lastly, it might be because of my newbie skills in CAS, but I want to make my sims more Asian-like, as an Asian myself.
There are presets for faces and there is an asian face there. You could start with that and manipulate it
To make a simself is really hard, we sometimes don't perceived our beauty or flaws like othet prople do. The best thing i can tell you is to take a front and side pictures of your face and body and use it as a reference, save the sim, come back to it a few days later with fresher eyes and do it as many times as you think its worth it. After all its not a mere common sim, its yourself. You should give time and effort to make them look like you. Also, look at CAS videod on youtube to learn how to manipulate more the facial features, there are some hidden things like changing rhe nostrils size, or the default "lips" that can be different like not having cupids bow, or the eyes that have/don't have that line on the lids. Anyway, i hope you can achieve your desired simself.
I know this is kind of old, but if you're playing on pc, there is a mod by Zerbu for more facial feature presets to help create more diverse features.
They need to fix/quicken the dang loading screen!

When they do sims 5 they NEED TO work with the fans, ask them for opinions, ideas to make fleshed out expansion backs and even a fleshed out base game
We need more diverse relationships that aren't affected by jealousy like being in a poly relationship or having an open marriage
Just set your sim to have serial romance aspiration. It disables jealousy, wich totally removes the challenge.

@@visionaguilar9904 you may be right. I tested it in like 2016, got upset and then never used it again because it broke my game experience. It may have changed since then.
I want sims to be able to 1. pass down unnatural colours and at the same time 2. the game to know what original/genetically correct hair colour of the sim is so that when they dye their hair and THEN get a child the child still gets the correct hair colour
Some things I would like added to the hair:
The colored hair would not pass down in genetics.
Children can have dyed hair.
Option for the dyed bit on hairs to be turned off or be different colors.
PURPLE HAIR!!!!

good ideas! I personally miss some things from the sims 2 like social worker bunny and that sims could become crazy from lonelyness.
They do have issues if you don't socialize though, but it takes days and I haven't done it in a while so I don't remember what happened
I remember in the sims 3 you could make like collections in your build catalogue and group together a bunch of things. I really want to have the ability to do that again! I just wanna create the ugly 70s house of my dreams and I would like to start by making a folder of potential items

They could easily update the base game houses. Game changers renovate those all the time and they have now included builds in packs that Game changers have made. Get some of them together and assign them lots to renovate with base game only. They can update families and homes. That would be fun and not much work for the Sims team.

Personally I don't play with the lore. I make my own Sims and storylines, and mostly ignore everyone else. But I DO want those "other people" stories to progress without me and spread through gossip; this would require a good story progression system capable of creating and handling random events, better individual autonomy so these events make sense for the Sim (no bee boxes for Bella Goth), an in-depth memory system capable of tracking what happened to Sims on an individual level, meaningful relationships and relationship statuses where you can't simply keep talking to someone who just insulted your entire family like nothing's happened, and a meaningful conversation system that can make use of these memories to create conversation, like in Sims 2 where if your Sims cheated on someone in a public place the knowledge of that event could spread through the town through gossip and eventuallly make its way back to your Sim's significant other who WOULD react accordingly. Even with all of its game-breaking bugs Sims 2's memory system was the best we ever got.
If Nancy Landgraab dies I expect her son who lives with her to know about it. If my Sim from another household is friends with him, it's natural for that topic to come up in conversation and for my Sim to learn that Nancy died. Then if my Sim goes to Johny Zest and talks to him about it I would expect him to react strongly to that. Johny's her child, so even if he doesn't live with her and has no direct contact with her, or even if he doesn't like her, the news should still affect him more than Bob Pancakes who only knows the name Landgraab from the electricity bill.
I don't care about Sims 4 screenshot system, I don't care about the Sims 3 scrapbook system, those were made for me, the player, to see, and I don't care about them. I care about my SIMS, and they're the ones who should care about what happens to them.
What I would love to see more for the base game are aspirations. I miss that in the sims 3 you can be a gold digger. That was a fun one to play around with
9:28 There was an attraction system in the Sims 3 but it was a general formula that applied in game rather than CAS preferences that would make your sims more attracted to someone based on common traits, successful careers, random physical attraction attributes, etc
I think youâve hit on every thing with the base game that made me abandon it for 6 years!! I went back to The Sims2 after playing Sims 4 for a month.
Also, the ability to create a world!!! If EA doesnât add that, Iâll be adding Twisted Mexiâs mod to my vanilla game.

I find the skintones hard to use. Most of them look weird to me, like unrealistic. I also would like to create very pale blonde sims because that is how I am but I cannot. There are not pake skin tones. It is white and then darker skin tones. They didnt add pale skins. The blonde hairs, eyebrows and eyelashes are not a thing. Pale people are not only one colour but we have different shades too

Omg how long is it going to take for us to be able to custom pick hair colour.... spesh if your like me with a huge family with many members Iâd like to not have the basic same hair colours for all sims, Iâd love to be able to add highlights of all kinds of colourâs..... Great ideas, attraction preferences would be great for me and the possibility to customise the family tree from CAS, that would be amazing, but we never had it in the game (not even TS3 and IMO relationships were the best there), so I don't know if it is even possible for the game to work..? But the preferences - liking light hair or disliking someone who works as a criminal - that was in the game before - meaning it can work - that would be amazing â„
I think I revamped the Willow Creek Park and made it so it included toddler stuff, stray animals, foxes, and a pond. I also added some harvestable Items. Magnolia Blossom Redone (Geminiasp my UN on the Gallery, if you want to see it. Its ok if you don't! No worries! :D)

During Gameplay, I love adding a custom school uniforms to my teens everyday outfits (because private school isn't in game......). But If i have a bunch of teens in the neighborhood, it's annoying to have to recreate the uniform over and over again from scratch.

That was one of my first wtf-monents. My sim self had a baby and I was so excited to see the improved babies from sims 3, and she held it up... And I just went "what the hell is THAT?"
I was so sure it was going to be the first thing they patched. The first thing of all the things they didn't have time to do good. But here we are and they are still ugly.
1 thing I want in base game is more hair inclusivity, like yea there is a couple afro-texture hair styles but for 1 they are not cute đ and 2 we just need more than a couple and i want more curly hair textures as well iâm tired of making my sims black and then having straight hair đ. i know they include more afro-texture styles in expansion packs but i shouldnât have to pay to have hair styles/textures that especially catered to my race or that of my sim.
I want them to make so all races are included. They seem to only have good stuff for white sims, and a few less than ideal African sim hairstyles. We need more representation of all the many different people and cultures that play the game.
I never new Zest was related to the Landsth family (sorry, they're called "Del Solar" in my game), because I did a new Sim playing with genetics as a Zest brother, and he ended up being really handsome, and, on the other hand, I saw potential in the Del Solar family but I tried making another son for Nuria and her husband, and it didn't work well haha. So it's interesting to know, but at the same time, very weird that the relationship doesn't appear in Zest's profile.
Btw, I think the "Caliente" family has the weirdest name ever, I always thought they were called sth different in English and ended up being translated as "Caliente" in my game... Since in Spanish means "hot", but also "h*rny", worst part of all is that one of them has the name "Mina", which is also Chilean slang for "girl" or "woman", and thus her name is... super weird.
And I didn't know the guy that lives with them is called "Don Lethorio" (or sth like that) in English, in my game he's called "Don Tenorio" a reference to "Don Juan Tenorio", which is a character from a Spanish novel, we even use "Don Juan" as an expression to refer to people that are similar to that character.
An attraction system that includes sexualities. At least the basics like is your sim attracted to male sims, female sims, both sexes or neither
So in my newest save file i have a mom two childs a toddler four cats two grown up two kittens and when my cat sees my sims homework it glitches out and grabs the homework and flips the pages
I hate that they always have everyone start with zero skills, at all. No one actually enters adult life with no skills. I hate having to cheat them in just so my single young adult sim can function.

I wanted to be happy about the skin tone update, but it was honestly kind of a disaster. I think they should have just lifted the system straight from TS3, with a handful of undertones and a wide range of shades for each, from very light to very dark. Or maybe even two sliders, one for undertone and one for lightness/darkness. It would have been simpler *and* they could have actually adapted the genetics system to it.
As it stands, not only is it needlessly complicated, but the genetics system is completely broken when it comes to skin tone. When you have two parents with different skin tones, their kid should be somewhere on the spectrum in between, like in real life. Instead, they get assigned one of the parents' exact skin tone, no matter how different they are. Even worse, if you use the "play with genetics" option in CAS, their skin tone is assigned *at random.* IT MAKES. NO. SENSE!
Also yes, hair color should be a color wheel. Swatches are fine for some things (though I certainly wouldn't complain if they brought back create a style) but not everything!

Honestly a major reason why I can't enjoy the sims 4 are the closed worlds.... bc 90% of my time playing the sims 4 is just staring at a loading screen (the loading screens dont take that long, its that fact that you have to go though one in EVERY STEO), they are really annoying and the fact that there is a FREE MOD that creates an open world in the game (farmland mod) but EA can bc "tHe eNgiNe DoSen'T aLlow" them to is just a bullshit excuse. I think that making the worlds open, or semi open so a group of 4-5 lots would be open to explore would still improve the game (and no, an open world won't automatically ruin the game, the reason why the sism 3 was laggy is bc it wasn't optimized well, if they know how to do it RIGHT then there should be no issues). Another thing that would m=improve the game would be the ability to fully edit world like adding trees ponds, and more lots, it is needed, exspecially for the smaller worlds like the one that game with get to work".
We really really need one sided relationship add with the attraction system.
I also would like more accessories in the base game for children such as back accessories bags etc even for the adults aswell and school uniforms children donât wear clothes to school regular clothes also teens wear
Those kind of stuff the base game needs more interactions and do not to mention children canât have dyed hair which bothers me because many kids can dye their hair also bath time instead of just getting in the bath kt should have a option turn on switch to fill the. Bath Realistic gameplay is needed

We simply need more surprises and a better, smarter internal logic system. (I'm not sure what this is called to a programmer? UI? AI?)
A big base game fix and my biggest caveat is that they WAIT for every order you give them. The wait is about 10-12 seconds, but it feels long.
So, I get annoyed playing in fast-forward if I miss animations that I haven't seen before or whatever. I know it'll never happen, but it would be amazing if they got rid of this. (It's been said because I have too many pictures, the game is lagging, but I don't think this is true. My PC sims also do this and I have 0 pictures saved of them on there.)
A few plays ago, I had my sim marry a townie. She is barely a YA and he is an adult. Well, it turns out he came with a teenage son! I was floored. This had never happened in my Sims 4 game, and to my memory, never happened in my 2 or 3 versions. It was on console, so no mods, just a family made by the devs. I want more surprises like that! (I had fun making the new hubby more handsome in CAS, making him a brunette over a redhead, giving him that salt-and-pepper hair, some wrinkles.) Granted, it all felt a little forced because this was her first BF, but I wanted her to be the first to get married, being the oldest of 10. She's a little weird, kinda hippie-eco (she had a barefoot beachy wedding
at the museum since I don't have Sulani yet), so her marrying a much older man just fits. Sorry, this was a ramble. Anyway, I want more surprises like your townie BF having a son.
Like others said, an attraction system would be great. I'm surviving with mods, (Haven't had them a month and they are DETAILED!!) but my console game is the same. Really miss the one for TS2. Simple, but effective.

Taylor this has nothing to do with this video, but I need some help! Previously I have never had a problem with the cheat window opening with, of course, ctr + shift + c. But suddenly I can't get it to come up on any of my Sims 4 people. I have even deleted my entire game off my PC, but it still won't work and it's driving me crazy! It kills me because I've had Sims 4 since it came out and only two weeks ago decided to finally get more expansions, etc for the game. Now after all that money the thing I love most about the game won't work. Can you help me out please? Thanks so much for your videos and guides they are awesome.
Willow Creek is inspired by New Orleans (Louisiana), so basements are not a thing because of the swamps.
Thereâs no basements because basements didnât exist when the game came out! Has nothing to do with the inspiration
@@taylorsaurus I know that. I just (personally) find odd to build a Louisiana inspired world with homes and community lots with basements. When I look for inspirations: photographies and floor plans, they don't have one. It just a personal preference. Also, it offert more variety of build and game play. Some world have homes with basement and some don't. I need to plan my space usage accordingly when I play.
I think there's some leaked code for an attraction system in the game but I'm not sure if it's legit. I think I saw a video about it over on Pixelade's channel

I do not really mind the welcome wagon, but it bothers me that there are only adults there. There should be their whole family in my opinion or at least some of it.
I only don't like the welcome wagon because they just cross the line constantly. They have to use my computer, take a bath, take food from my fridge, you name it.

The makeup that comes with the game and this goes double for the MAC collaboration is horrible. I usually end up using CC makeup on my Sims. I will say however they got nails really right.

EA, give us the tools to make our own towns and life states.
I wish they could drive or at least own cars and show them getting in the car when they travel to different worlds... I don't mind pretending they are ubering but almost everyone has a car so why not add it lol ?
