However you would have seen Suzuki cars being tested on Euro NCAP too which even more stricter. Brezza and SCross did score 4 stars in GNCAP.
GNCAP raises doubts too sometimes Ex- Hyundai Verna gets 5 stars in spite of GNCAP declaring structural instabilty and shell unstable. It's a sponsorship game.

The quality of Sheet metal that Suzuki uses in their cars can never get them 5 star. Everyone knows how they compromise on safety to deliver better mileage and performance. You realize how unstable Suzuki cars are once you take them on highways. Their Body does not inspire confidence to achieve high 3 digit speeds and the bad steering feedback adds to the uncertainty. Tata on the other hand does not compromise on safety. If tata can focus on service and give their customers the same experience like Suzuki service, Tata will undoubtedly be No.1 in the market.

Ncap usually tests base models. Bncap rule says that a car requires 6 airbags as standard to score 5 star rating. As GV doesn't have it, it could get 4 star. However I'm not sure why GV's top model that has 6 airbags got tested for side impact. If GV gets 6 airbags as standard I'm sure it will get 5 star rating easily.

I think bharatncap is favoured towards Maruti, otherwise no way Grand Vitara can achieve 5 stars, maybe 3 or 4 max.
If u look at 4:14, the roof is bending. Bharatncap could be sponsored by Maruti, no ones knows.
Everyone knows how cheaply made the new swift is, in fact it only got 3 stars in Euroncap! If it got 3 stars in euroncap, then max 2 stars for indian version.
If Bharat ncap tests and rates it higher than the Euro car, then something is fishy. Will need to wait for the results of the swift. Because in the past the indian version was always less safe compared to European, there is no way Suzuki will make the European version less safe than the Indian.

if Maruti starts getting 5 stars then it can easily eat up the market share of Tata, as Tata has no other USP to sell their vehicle, thanks to their pathetic after sales services.

They said same about Citroen and you know the actual result. Breeza will get 5 star but not Vitara, GV is very light compared to its size. Compare the doors of GV with Taigun/Creta or even Nexon. You will notice the difference. Drive GV in highways, It is very light and shakes around 100kmph(Unlike Breeza which is pretty solid). Wait for the crash test results, come back and comment here if it really gets 5 star
