Agreed.. that's the reason I am buying Tata. I know I have to compromise with mileage, performance, features and Service Quality. But I travel around 100Km on a daily basis on the Delhi Meerut highway. I found multiple accidents in the past 2-3 months and it was Tata cars which were intact after the crash

ur right crash test parameters of a particular vehicle is very different from a real life crash situation . . . U.S. aur Europe mein log rear seat belt kam hi lagate hai, less than 6% per 50 vehicles . . . but they're very particular if there's a baby in the rear seat . . . i work in Oslo, Norway & I've to use the child seat for my 2 yr kid even if there's an adult seating in the rear with my son . . .

Excellent informative video. If government of India is serious enough then it should make it mandatory for all Car manufacturers to send their Cars for BNCAP test, otherwise, companies will continue selling unsafe cars in the country.
2. Buyers should also insist on buying safer Cars to compel manufacturers to send their vehicles for tests.
3. Giving options to Car companies to send their Cars voluntarily amounts to playing in their hands.

Safety rating is just a number and not entirely indicative of actuals in practical conditions.
Id say People are giving more importance to Safety ratings than on Driver Education and Training and Best practices.
Also Infrastructure 's safety design and Quality of Infrastructure needs a lot of Improvement.

Hi Rachit. Please answer this question. Why isn't BNCAP testing any cars? I mean, after their launch, they have only tested 4 cars from Tata, which ofcourse, will be 5 stars.
Depends on which car manufacturers are all getting their cars tested.
Why can’t govt implement a rule of crash tests are mandatory before selling on Indian market
GNCAP is a private company who don't do crash test of cars in their own country & more interested in the safety of people in India Pakistan srilanka & South Africa lol😂
They use top end model for crash test of their beloved partners while use base model for others.
Interested in crash test of Suzuki tin cars like s-presso & Swift for 10th time but afraid to crash test Brezza Baleno Fronx.
Na it is crash test lower variants and only side pole test is higher or top variants.

@@MrYogi123 yes they did, but after that new brezza was introduced with more quality but gnacp didn't done any crash test instead they did crash test of swift for 3rd time eventhough company didn't update that car.
I’ve that the speed of car is misleading. It’s the speed of impact in case when it’s vehicle vs vehicle crash. If it’s a head on crash, the speeds of both vehicles heading towards each other need to add up to determine speed of impact. So 56 kmph means 29 kmph for each vehicle! In real world head on collisions, the crash speed is at least 100 kmph.

True par even if the car can score - it will get the 5 stars. You should check cars that didn't get 5 star if they had any side pole test crash videos also.
Tata punch is 5 star rated but it has only 2 airbag across all the variants😢😢
Waiting for the Maruthi bncap test results from a long time. It’s been a year since they announced about it but the results are not yet out. So the process is taking too much time n in the meanwhile these cars are sold like about 18k cars per month.
Because Maruti is not sending any car for test. There is rule in BNCAP that only manufacturer can get testes Only Own car.
While Global NCAP, any one can get tested any car. So far Maruti and other brands were talking about inpartial facility Now they themselves not testing even after 10 months of start of facility. Message is clear, Maruti and Hyundai not safer at high speed.

GNCAP makes no sense to me.. Really... You got to have a car based on your needs and not on crash test ratings...
1. if you are city person who stays in city 9/10 times and you live in a tier 2 or tier 3 city, then likelihood of high speed or aggressive accidents is less. In this case you can get any car which suits your budget without caring for crash tests... On the other hand, if you are someone who has to go on highway very often, then you need to have a sturdy car...
2. GNCAP tests cars on a specific speed that whether it survives at that speed or not. If you overspeed (120+) then no car is safe
3. Also safety is not the only area to consider for a car... We have to look out for service network in our area, long term reliability, NVH levels and comfort too.
