Restoration of a 1/16 Scale Tiger Tank - Deconstruction, Cleaning, Paint Removal

Let´s go with Part 1 of my big 1/16 Tiger Tank Restoration. A firend of mine wants an accurate painted Tiger Tank for his collection. So he send me this damaged R/C Wittmann Tiger Tank. Not worse to repair but to restorate with a new painting and convert this used and broken piece of scrap into a battlefield beauty.

Ahhhh, that's a 1/16 Late Production Tiger I from Taigen and the shop is based in Florida, in fact I have 4 Taigen Tiger Is that I put together from the Early to the Late Production 3 years ago.

To me that tank looked good as it was it's for rc use if your friend wanted something to display he could have just gotten a 1/16 scale model kit would have been a lot easier

Hey Joe, from your point of view the whole project looks pretty pointless. You are right. 😁 But it is a commissioned work and my friend saves a lot of money. The new purchase and the complete construction with painting would cost him twice as much.
