I've been blasting the Title Track for anyone who'll listen (and many that won't) since the album came out. And I bring a loud speaker with me :) Screaming WITHERED HAGS while waiting for a bus freaks people out sometimes... I forget I'm in public, and that's a sign of a great record.
It's good to see young dudes like James keeping the metal flame burning , we're all getting older . Halford , Biff Byford etc are now in there 70s . Motorhead are gone , Dio gone etc etc . Rock on James McBain.🎼🤘
No wonder that James praises Dave Mustaine and his playing style, I've always said that Hellripper is the dark and hellish version of early Megadeth. Hail Hellripper!
We can definitely feel the Midnight influence in his music and it's amazing. No wonder he produces such good music if he has good musical tastes and influences like those
I asked him recently, he said “hopefully soon”. I would say that means there isn’t anything in the works, but I’m sure he’ll take the first chance he can get to come over to America.
I really love evil never dies and as soon as I heard complete and total f-ing mayhem I could hear the influence of that album and complete and total hell by midnight.
Great choice of albums have seen some of your videos and they are great would love to see hellripper live im sure you will be brilliant keep up the good work
Megadeth is Commendable, And Hell-Ripper bought back the influences of Early Megadeth Vibes, That's why it sounds close with the Rhythmic Pattern of unique sound🙂🤘💀.
He couldn't remember So Far, So Good... and skipped directly to Rust in Peace which is a shame because So Far is a great album. Also happens to be my third or fourth Metal album I ever bought, which was in 1990.
I have always said that I love music of all sorts, there is something in all genres that speaks to me. The only genre I could not find a song or band (that I liked) was thrash/screamo, Until now Hellripper is something special!
The bouncier, almost funkier stuff like killing is my business title track, chosen ones, the conjuring, wake up dead, and Lucretia are some of my favorite examples. Not to mention, the solos are very reminiscent of early jazz solos
I agree. If you watch interviews with dave he always jazz but his nearest reference is the solo to til there was you by the beatles! I think he means different time sigs but doesn't like saying prog /maths or muso rock.
All Hail the 🐐
Hellripper new album is amazing
It’s absolutely killer.
Agreed!

I found it to be disappointing. Sounds like generic black metal at times.
It is!
Saw Hellripper live on stage yesterday. It was overwhelming! So much energy!
Glad he rep's Joel Grind, by far the biggest influence I can hear in Hellripper.

All hail the Goat🐐
Really great interview! Cool to see what the influences of Hellripper are. One of the best metal acts to come along in a long time.
No wonder Hellripper is so good with such great and varied tastes.
Varied???? Three thrash records and some crust punk…,🤦🏻♂️

I'll always be sickened by the fact that this COVID shit stopped James from bringing Hellripper on a US tour.

But... this is neither screamo nor thrash. This is speed and black metal if we're being very technical.
guys, can you say please, what the name of intro song?
ToB theme song. By me 🤣
@@templeofbleh2315 sound very good, you have full?
It's just that this is my first time on this channel, I didn't know it was your intro song😅
Can someone please provide an example of the jazzy bits of Megadeth? I love the band, but never understood it when people brought that up.
Early megadeth with gar on drums a lot off jazz playing instead of straight forward thrash drumming

Mustaine said Friedman plays with love and Mustaine plays with hate
