    These are cool farm, idk if you can call them “starter” farm. Amount of iron needed for those hopers and silk touch for turtle eggs kind of make that farm a bit more of a mid game; as well as cobblestone generator, it’s red stone and pistons; I do like all of these, just idk if you can say these are “starter” level

    Tip 1: You can also use a villager on a boat instead of turtle eggs. But that will be only for zombies. Skeletons, spiders and creepers won't come.
    Tip 2: You can use water at one side instead of using a lot of hoppers. You'll need 5 iron per hopper.

    Easy optimizations for the mob farm. First, make the drop 22 blocks deep. This will leave the mob with like half a heart of life, making it so you only need to swing once to get your xp. You could even just punch them at that point. Second, of course, if you find a mob spawner, build this setup by the zombie mob spawner and you'll get some crazy rates.

    Just a small remark regarding the food farm, as nobody mentioned it in the comments, yet.
    Crops will happily grow during the night without the light if they can see a sky.
    Light source is needed only if the crops are grown under any kind of a roof, or if You are growing the saplings.

      It's a bit hard to get silk touch early in the game. I find it easier to look for iron to make bucket and lava pool to make nether portal, that way you can build a 3-minute zombie piglin farm for exp.
      The only upside I can think of zombie farm like this is it has a chance to drop carrot, in case you decide to settle down in a village without carrot/potato farm land. It might be quicker to go looking for a plain/village or shipwreck though.

    For the first farm you could also put some water in the hole, so when zombies get trapped and sometimes they wear an armour, as they become drowned, they'll drop the armor, and once drowned they can also drop a trident or nautilus shell. That's good stuff as well regardless than the XP.

    for the villager food farm the materials are: 88 glass or 1 stack + 24 glass - 5 technically bc he broke 5 blocks for the villager and glowstone, 4 glowstone, 1 hoe, 1 slab, 1 bucket of water, 1 composter, 1 barrel, 2 hoppers, 1 rail, 1 minecart with hopper, 6 slabs, and two villagers. lmk if I missed something, also if you are building it above water like me or somewhere with no grass you need 81 dirt/grass - 1 because he broke some to put the water (if you are not doing it in the water like me)
    edit: mb I did some wrong math with the glass, I multiplied it instead of adding bc it is only the perimeter that has glass so I collected way more glass than I needed

I dunno, I'm not good with farms, just thought it was an interesting idea.

  • @aozf05
    @aozf05 Před rokem

    Two things: 1) Crops don't need a light source to grow unless they're underground or under a roof. As long as they're exposed to the sky, even at night, they'll continue growing.
    2) A much simpler cobblestone generator is a 1x4 trench, place water in the first space, dig down one more block in the second space so the water only flows over one space, then put lava in the opposite end. Cobblestone will infinitely generate in the third space, no redstone or complex machinery required.

      It's upto you... they just used it to it's full potential. 1 block with water can irrigate a total of 9x9 area. You can make it shorter if u want. But it'll also reduce the amount of Yield. So it's completely upto you
