Because of your monte Cristo vlog, I immediately ordered my 1000-page copy. It took me about 3 months or so and I don't regret it. I did enjoy every page of it. Not once felt bored. It was a masterpiece. I know u gave it 4.5 stars. I couldn't but give it 5 stars. I would give 10 outs 5 stars if it's possible. Thank you soooo much for recommending such a book. I read fourth wing and the serpent of the wings of night as well, I loved Serpent more tbh. I found the plot line and characters more entertaining and the tension was just wild in that one

Not gonna lie, Fourth Wing got fun way sooner and I was hooked basically from the scene at the parapet 😩
I'm still hopeful I'll get into the story though because the writing is impeccable and the stakes are ridiculous high

I love the Monte Cristo anime, it adopts a very different animation style which I find GOOORGEOUS. However it is definitely not a faithful adaptation, it adapts the book in the most anime way possible lol

Hey Bella, since you liked the serpent and the wings of night so much I have a recommendation of a very similar book for you. It’s a trilogy called The hunt. It’s a story about a boy that lives in a world controlled by vampires where he has to pretends to be one of them. Then the day of the hunt comes and he has to kill the humans that are kept exclusively to be bait in the hunt. It’s super high stakes and dramatic. I highly recommend the read. 😊

@@zlicko7735 Alice’s adventure in wonderland is probably what I would start with as it is a children’s classic. And don’t worry if you don’t understand everything immediately. You can look up summaries on lit charts or sparknotes. And don’t worry if you’re reading slower because the language is just a bit different compared to recent books. Especially if English isn’t your first language.
