It's certainly improved from his role in Terminator genesis, the problem was that he couldn't do a standard American accent, however he's seemed to have found his ground with his Boston accent.

As an American and someone who lives very close to Boston, that is neither a Boston accent in any way nor is it a convincing American accent, I love Matt Smith, he will always be my doctor, but he simply can’t manage any American accent he has tried so far

Dude... no.. no.. I just went and read the plot on Wikipedia and I'm over here almost wanting to cry audibly out loud asking my computer screen "Why Matt? Why?!? WHY?!?" I don't think the writers of DW could write something this bad even if they tried... The trailer had me just interested enough to look it up and from how it reads, even with how much I love Matt and Natalie both, I don't think I could make myself watch this.

I just watched it with my younger brother. Honestly, at first, I didn't expect it to be a good movie, but we kinda like it. For me, it was actually good. Although we had to skip some scenes.
****Just MY two cents' worth.****
Great Scenes:
-The fight scene at the end (The rat scene and the 3vs1 part). - I like how they try to help one another and fight the zombies, esp. the professor, together.
-The music part with the professor was kinda funny. It didn't have any effect on him and he even smoked during the interrogation🤣 He was very calm and was even grinning like he already knew what was going to happen.
-The professor's back story with his family was kinda sad and really disturbing. (In this part, I forgot that my little brother was also watching, and when I looked at him, he said "I thought he would be a good zombie".) You know, this kind of acting (calm but mean, very composed) often would make you feel like there's still a chance for the bad guy. At first, you'd be like "Maybe he'd change. Maybe he's the cure. Maybe he'd help them🤔". Like my brother, this was my first thought too. But after revealing how he viciously killed his family, especially the kid, you'd end up with "Oh, dear. There's no chance for him at all. He's The Devil.😨" This somehow adds a somewhat realistic feel to the story.
-The ending was really scary. It was so dark, and just seeing all those fast-running zombies chasing after them was terrifying. It'd give you the impression of "I'd rather kill myself than be chased after and then be brutally killed by those monsters."
Well, the sound was okay, the acting was great, and the cinematography was on point. There was even a short voice-over/narration/storytelling/whatever you call that at the end. It makes the ending a bit more interesting. ( I like those kinds of things. When added, it makes the movie look more creative.) Although, the voice sound could've been better - make it a little bit deeper or add more crispiness. (audio editing).
-Overall, the overall production was okay. We even searched for a sequel. 😅 I thought there was one ~ still adding it to my list🎦.
I actually liked this movie and the concept very well. I wasn’t too happy with the end but I’m hoping there’s going to be a second movie coming. For real.

if he is bitten but not turned, isn't he at least immune? As far as I know you can at least work on a cure or vaccine if you find immune people and find out why they are immune (a patient zero in essence isn't that much more than an immune person)? So either I am missing something (like f.e. there is a time period of x days until you "turn" after a bite) or I am (as often) too logical for these kind of movies.
Carmen he has the most purest strand of the virus which makes him a more palpable subject to work with because it was initial virus versus the now mutated strand his other counter parts who are overtaken by it he has evolved with it not making him immune because he is obviously still very much infected.

If (matt smiths) not turning is do it a rare genetic mutation or trait then it would not help in creating any form of vaccine. It would be like when Black Plague spread across Europe. 1/3 of the population was completely immune naturally (receptors did not match up), 1/3 was partially immune (Hetero-type(1immune gene, 1 not immune gene)), 1/3 was completely susceptible. Some types of natural immunity are not something that can be shared, or have serious drawbacks (sickle cell and malaria).

because you wouldnt even know the take to like it if you hadnt seen this trailer..
Esafc 2015 unless this is all at the beginning of the movie, it really did reveal alot..
- we know that the character is bitten but wont turn, and that this will most likely be used by patient zero to convince him to "join them" or claim that things would be better this way (in which case, we already know it will fail since we see them fighting at the end)
- We know that they find the so called patitent zero, we also know exactly how patient zero acts and behaves. Something that is implied to be a surprise to the main characters, a surprise the viewers will not experience themselves.
(It's also seems to imply that patient zero can control and atrract the infected to him)
- We know his "motivations", beliving humanity to be a disease (thus implying the outbreak to be a consequence of some source to "cure" our world by getting rid of humans)
- We know there is going to be a massive breach in their facility. Killing humans (which makes it less impactful, as we already know going into the movie that many of the residence is most likely going to die)
- We know that patient zero will get loose and battle the main characters in some very typical "action movie' fight scenes. scenes that are most likely from the final phase of the movie.
And based on the trailer, i wouldnt be surprised that our "not turned" Main character is the same type of infected as patient zero (or something like that), and have similar importance/control in relation to them, and this will be crucial to the plot. That is just my suspicion, but regardless, it does reveal alot about the movie sequences and how it unfolds
