  • In case you want to replace the factory stereo, clock, cigarette lighter or air-conditioning panel in a Peugeot 306, I made a video showing the correct method.
No more snapping bolts or breaking fascia panels!

Hi there, thanks for the upload.. Slightly different system between original and aftermarket fascia.
I was wondering how you fixed the issue on the AC control unit. That's actually what brought me here by accident... In fact, knowing where the relay unit for the AC vent is, and how to access the sucker, is also a mystery to me. Help...

I got stuck trying to find a replacement AC unit, then someone bought the car off me not long after. Sorry I couldn't be of help this time.

Hey mate - when replacing the factory stereo do you need an aftermarket fascia plate or does it slot in nicely? Thanks

I have been in 4 306 GTi6s and none of them had the factory stereo, so I can't tell, sorry. The only other stereo I've replaced was a brand-new bluetooth touch-screen that came with a metal caddy.
If you mean the plastic fascia trim, then it's all factory standard here.

how did you remove the stereo?

In the bracket there are two slots at the bottom. Use a trim remover tool or two to hold them while you pull of the headunit. Sometimes the metal crush-tabs on the bracket sick out and get stuck on the fascia so you might need to flatten them all the way around.

Dom's Driveway There is 2 small slots underneath in both corners but when i put something inside there is no stop

@@albinljungberg461 pains me to say it, but you might need a knife or similar. I think mine took a lot of wiggling/shaking to get out while pulling. On one of my previous cars I had to use the tool to wedge out the headunit, but that could crack the fascia.

Appuyez sur le panneau du milieu pour ouvrir un espace, retirez le panneau inférieur, retirez les boulons de 8 mm derrière la chaîne stéréo, retirez les boulons torx près de l'horloge.
