Thanks for U tube,99% garbage and 1% You and Tony Santoro, and it is worth the battle for information on our real world...
Eocene: The Eocene Epoch saw the replacement of older mammalian orders by modern ones. Hoofed animals first appeared, including the famous Eohippus (dawn horse) and ancestral rhinoceroses and tapirs. Early bats, rabbits, beavers, rats,
mice, carnivorous mammals, and whales also evolved during the . 55.8-33.9 MA -- The early (Ypresian) is thought to have had the highest mean annual temperatures of the entire Cenozoic , with temperatures about 30° C; relatively low temperature gradients from pole to pole; and high precipitation in a world that was essentially ice-free. That swear jar is my new favorite thing 😂😂😂
I watched the presentation, and followed along. I understand the material quite well at this point. Thank you Nick! 👍
If my questions don't get covered in class, I'll ask in the chat and, or, in the comments. Cheers!
Now you've done it, Ned. You've got people thinking about stuff they thought they knew abut.
200, 000 years is a long time so a lot of magma could easily build up over that time. Just look at how quickly that valley filled up in Iceland and it's still going!
Sorry I missed this one live - I had an appointment, so I'm catching up on Wed. evening.
We took my daughter last Thursday for a bit of a rainy tour of CWU. We enjoyed our stay, and a near bluebird Friday about town. Vinman's and Cornerstone Pizza--you can't go wrong...
Great start to the the magmas!
It is great to see (hear) the students stick around after class and want to interact with you and go further into the subject matter. Rock on man!
It's putting me in a diabetic coma just watching this. All I can say is 'What a way to go'!
Wonderful class!! Seeing old trails, roads, old Blewett hwy, with new eyes and it is so FUN! Thank you.... 😍👏🏼
Wine & Wisconsin: Several years ago visiting Burlington, WI (beautiful town) we saw one on the nice restaurants advertising a wine tasting event with dinner. Got reservations and food was excellent. The wines were, too! All from Washington and Oregon.😄
Very late catch up this time in Thailand. Sitting back and wait to share in the gifts.
GREAT LECTURE(s) AND FIELD TRIPS...... Hi points of my week(s)...honest.
You brought the energy Nick! Cheers to you!
Ever hear of Norman Sleep. Stanford Geology. Great paper 2010 cold springs harbor
I'm so concerned that plastic globe is gonna fall off the counter!
Thanks for a simulating fun and great class today.
The Hungarian empire was known as the balyantine empire in the middle ages, ironic they kinda in a way named their empire after a volcano
Hello Professor Zentner
I like thank you for letting us in on your process of integrating new information into your classes.
I have going through your back log.
I feel that you have stumbled on interesting ideas by using K.I.S.S. philosophy. The Triple Junction can not move north till the Yellowstone Hotspot makes landfall. That is only way the relatively minor damage of the docking of Siletzia could of been possible. It takes less force to tear a plate of steel if you start at the edge.
I wish you And yours a wonderful summer.

Looking forward to the discussion of models to give me more understanding. Not mentally seeing a cohesive picture yet.
Busy yesterday, the Challis magna was made understandable to a novice like me. Students should not have had an issue.
@Peter, great food for the students! Their always hungry! LoL
The Mt Stuart to Ellensburg cross section was real helpful.
Any good reason for all the volcanoes erupting everywhere? Possibility the rift in Africa disturbing the plates and crust?
Thanks, Nick!!
AT 51:36-51:40 LMAO RIGHT ON NICK......It is called " Dead Reckoning Geology "....maps, compass, your own eyes, ears, and imagination......
All is well in New South Wales
OH NO! First live-stream I've missed.
Yeah. No,. I don’t know. That says it all. Ya’ gotta love it.
