    Fairtex is by far the biggest muay thai brand in the world and is used by multiple world champions and casual combatants alike. Fairtex also made the absolute Fairtex and in most cases Muay Thai standard by creating the BGV1 Universal Training Glove. When you think about a Muay Thai glove, you picture something that looks like the BGV1. That classic short wrist cuff, stocky but wide design, curved over fingers, and angled thumb. This tiny glove is guaranteed to punch through anyone's guard and leave a puncher very happy! If you have any questions, comment below or message me on the social media pages!

    Great review! I've trained and fought in Thailand for years. Thai pros and beginner 5 year-old kids use these exact gloves. These are the best Muay Thai gloves ever!

    Been waiting on this review for a minute. Bought these as my first pair of gloves. Felt like I was hitting a tree and my wrists where mangled after. But over time I got used to them and they are a well made gloves. If you wanna inflict pain on your opponent or bag and feel the power these are for you.

    I think you are mistaken. There is no tight fit version: BGV1 is the single variant which is also / alternatively described as tight fit in some instances (very confusing). Also I don’t think there is an 18 Oz (perhaps there was). But it is likely there never was, rather it seems to exist as a (phantom) drop down option which when selected is described as sold out. Not that it is actually sold out, but rather that’s how the options menu is set up not to provide an 18 Oz.

    I've had a pair for over 2 years and they're still going strong, velcro is still secure. I found they were a little tight at first (and my hands aren't large at all), but after breaking in, these are the most comfortable gloves I've ever used. These are great for people who want to feel their punches connect on the heavybag with a good snap. They also open up great as you said, fantastic for parrying and the split-second clinching in boxing

    Recently got these and was very impressed with how much tighter of a fist I could make compared to my previous gloves (Hayabusa T3's) and I've been on the lookout for compact gloves ever since. That being said, are you planning on getting your hands on a pair of InFightStyle Compact gloves? They seem to be pretty new versions of the standard sized gloves so I haven't seen any reviews around.

    • @user-qn6fw8fg4b
      @user-qn6fw8fg4b Před 9 měsíci

      If your previous gloves were hayabusa then even a glove made entirely out of poop would seem like the best thing ever in comparison...
      I have owned almost every high end boxing glove brand out there, look into Bayoneta Premium if you want something compact and good for all purpose use including sparring.

    If you're heavy and over 6ft tall/big hands, do not get any less than 16oz in these. I own 14oz and they are very painful on the fingers with boxing wraps.
    I'm not sure if even 16oz would be better as I haven't tried them.

      Good question! Yes they can be used for boxing for sure but for a fairtex glove better for boxing I'd go with the BGV9, BGV6, BGV5, BGV11, BGV14. Those are all good thai gloves for boxing and have the shape of a "traditional" boxing glove
