Whoa give that Paleontologist a medal! He needs to be in hollywood for his voice and enthusiastic acting
Omg yes! I just know he’s a hit with kids
I always look forward to see the dinosaurs they set out by the road to attract guests while driving to Tampa. Reminds me of Pee-wee's Big Adventure.
Interesting how different people have different memories of the same things based on how they are experiencing it. Seeing those dinosaurs always brings back memories for me of going to Disney or Universal because I'm coming from the Clearwater area.
"There's the. . . severed head of a brachiosaurus. . ."
"HULLO!?"
I love that kid
I went there when I was younger, this brings back so much nostalgia
If the park is trying to show dinosaurs how we think they really looked in life then don't add frills if they did not have one....Great video Jutta
We don't know for sure they didn't though. Just as we have no idea what their skin looked like. Pretty much everything about the appearance of dinosaurs is guess work.
At least they admit what they don't know...
I guess I’m going to have to go anti-frill for science’s sake! Also at 9:39 “HELLO?!” 😂
17:45 Loved the animatronic dinosaurs inside the museum.
I live in Florida and I've passed this place a few hundred times and never went inside so thanks carpetbagger for showing this, looks kinda cool and interesting :3
To answer your question at 5:07 , I think it'd be cool to have both types next to each other and a sign explaining that the frills were fictional. Then you could see the differences between the fictional one and the real one.
I’ve gotta give the park props for that carnivore boardwalk. They weren’t afraid to go out and get real!
I’ve driven by this place so many times...never gone in
Great job
Me too. Driving by this place always made me think of Pee-wee's Big Adventure.
What a great place to visit. Thanks for taking us along Jacob. If I ever go South again I’ll be sure to pay them a visit.❤️👍
Oh!!! I used to live right there! No one ever wanted to go w me...thanks for sharing!!
I would have went
"Zombie-style dinosaurs" - 😂😂😂 Too funny, Jacob!
I gotta find a dinosaur park here in the UK. They're so fun looking.
I gotta wonder what the Macaw Parrot Dinos were meant to be
There’s Crystal Palace Park in London
5:37 that salamander looking dinosaur is called Diplocaulus
Wish I would have known you were coming here. Welcome to Plant City.
I like the frill!
Ooha! This was quite the place. 🦖🦕❤👍
Minmi is such a cute little dino.
I'm voting for a great frill, nothing better than a great frill, from the thrilfrilasuars.
The frill is gone....
Matt , Lol.
I live near there passed Dinosaur World many, many times, however I have never been. Welcome to Plant City, Jacob!
Great park for kids from the 80’s. You cannot get todays kid interested with dinosaurs that do not move, not interacting screens, etc. Animatronics are a must.
This guy has done everyone’s cocaine 8:10
Good one Jacob 😎
Good reaction to the Tsintaosaurus 😂
This Dinosaur park certainly is giving me nostalgia as I use to go to a Dinosaur Park in South Wales (Britain) known as Dinosaur Park Tenby, I loved going there as a kid me as a dinosaur nerd. This Park certainly has its similarities and differences to the park I go to and is most definitely larger but this American Dinosaur Park looks awesome 😆🦖🦕
10:14 I have been to the Cave City, KY location. It is much smaller. This one has a warning sign for graphic content in a section of the park.
Hi Jacob🖐🏼. I really enjoyed this video. It was totally interesting to see. Thanks for sharing the details.😃
If your ever in the UK, in Devon is a place called Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park, and i think youll love it!
His knowledge of dinosaurs is hilarious, not saying its a bad thing
I’ve been to this Place Many times in my Life and I have Some interesting Trivia for you. In relatively recent years the park Experienced an Expansion. The T-Rex building that was Blocked off and Has the game show thing behind it Used to be the Gift shop and main Entrance, as well as where you you got tickets to get in. After they expanded the Park and built That new Gift Shop, the Old one got bypassed and Seemingly abandoned. I don’t know what they use it for now other than that show in the back of it
I was just thinking that I remember this space being much smaller.
Bonnie Howell well there you go
3 years later since this comment and that place is apparently still abandoned. I always wondered what that place seemingly was.
I do remember going there a while back when I was a kid where they did the dinosaur trivia game show. But as of Febuary 2023 with my recent visit to the park, even that's now not only gone but the back is just completely destroyed... Okay that's an exaggeration, but a lot of wood planks and some construction tools were all over the place, so I'm assuming it's being refurbished as/for something else in the park or is getting completely removed entirely
@@gangstergoji2k5isgod we that’s interesting to hear about. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
I think they are talking about the crest, which the Dilophosaurus did have, not the frill, which it didn't, being used for mating displays.
If your purpose is education I would think that you wouldn’t show the frill. I’m anti frill
You're right. Also, mammoths are an anachronism. There were no mammals during the age of the dinosaurs.
@@akicitaa.8233 yes there were mammals during the dinosaurs reign but they were tiny
@@lordarkay272 Okay, you're right. But TBF, they were about two grams. Certainly not mammoths.
@@akicitaa.8233 I'm not overly upset they did say ice age something or other and most kids and adults know that the ice age happened past the dinosaurs reign
Me too.
Hellooo , greetings from Belgium. I have experient for five yeers as geologic hobby. The bump on the had , the dino prest air truf tou mak a yelling saund. Jest like the ellefants do .
I love this place so much. A fun fact, if you stay until sundown you can see armadillos wandering around. I’ve actually got a picture of myself under the mouth of that Tyrannosaurus at 15:10 like he’s about to eat me.
Frill envy? Thanks for the video Jacob, you're a good egg. Or were inside of one. Yeah you get it.
That's not a T-rex, it's Sharptooth! 😮
Watching this now is super cool and gave me the idea to check out how the place is I’m super close by dinosaurs world and I might stop by there and see how it’s holding up
Great video!
I have heard of this place and I have a friend in Plant City- I will pass this on to her.
Awesome!
I've been meaning to check out this place. Thanks for the preview
Interesting.
The little one and I were laughing and having fun the whole time! Thanks so much!
I don't believe in adding features to Dinos unless they find evidence that it existed. If a feature is in dispute, then it should be labeled as speculation like they do with the coloration of the models.
They should not have the frill. I am 42 and have been lied to my entire life by Jurassic Park. :( Glad to learn something.
What would have been a fun picture is someone in front of 1 of the t rexes acting like they were being chased :)
Thanks for all the knowledge Jacob. You are smart.
Enjoyed the video, Jacob
Don't step off the boardwalk. You'll change history!!!
A problem with how he said “hairy elephants” is that Mammoths are a completely different species from elephants, as elephants are thought to have evolved from an animal called Moeritberium.
That's the joke
"I hope that's his face!" Ha!
Love your descriptions made me laugh. They do look like something out of the Flintstones not exactly realistic. No frill. Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤
Awesome video
Que pasa Jacob! Good Morning, have you seen some shows call,
"Walking with Dinosaurs"
Television miniseries. Can find it on Demand.. ect. Pretty neat.
Take care
"They don't care about nuthin' - they'll eat yr face!" No frills, indeed!
I can`t see why the dinosours could`nt have frills as here in Australia we have lizards called frilled neck lizards their only little but when they feel threatened that`s when their frills are shown
True. I didn't know that they were added in the movie until now...
The blue stegosaurs you said are called kentrosaurs.
Ah yes the memories…
Back in Fla again.
You need to come to the strawberry festival.
I’m going pro-frill. There’s no harm in getting creative with some potential physical features dinos may have had that couldn’t be fossilized. Kind of like how we’re learning that many dinosaurs were actually feathered. Would be nice if more people knew the frills were just speculation though.
Trashasaurus was so funny
feel that my Christmas will now not be complete without a T-Rex Tree topper!
I love how this park is supposed to be educational yet every dinosaur is anatomically incorrect
Also, there shouldn't be mammoths. There were no mammals during the dinosaur era.
@@akicitaa.8233 Yes there were, they were just really tiny, the biggest mammal in the Dinosaur era was one in Asia, it was about the size of a chihuahua and ate baby dinosaurs, most others were in the world were about the size of mice or rats
Akicita A. It would make sense if after all the dinosaurs they had a whole ice age section but it doesn't make sense to just throw them In the middle
@@ancientreddragon5617 Okay, fair enough, you're technically correct...Those proto-mammals, though, weighed about 2 grams. But there certainly wren't mammoths, who overlap the human era.
Hi Jacob awesome vlog at the Dinosaur world in Florida! kind of reminds me of the movie set of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World!
Look into dino history, read on the bone wars, see how much fiction is put into creating depictions of these creatures.
"When children go to a dinosaur museum, are the displays they see, displays of science, or displays of art and science fiction?" -David Wozney
I live in Lakeland, only 30 minutes away. Been there many times.
It's not like there aren't frilled or venomous lizards - this is of course where the interpretation was inspired from however considering that we don't know which dinosaurs had these traits, I like seeing new interpretations of all dinosaurs with different characteristics from the norm. The frill on the dilophosaurus is somewhat overdone.
I think they should be accurately portrayed for theme psrks!!
Still another great place where I'd love to wear my Alan Grant clothes.
Great video. So close to my home.
you're so cute 😍
Pro Fill mama-sita!!!!
Awesome place for ids
Don't go off the boardwalk as you might be mistaken for a missing link, just kidding, maybe.
I lived in Florida for years and always wanted to go here you should check out monkey jungle in south Florida
I feel like a few of those dinos look like Pokemon
👋hi Jacob, that's not bad for a dinosaur park asit goes👍,👋.
Pro frill!
Velocoraptors had feathers
Frill Neutral.
*Plays the Jurassic Park theme song*
I went there (in Kentucky)
Don't know if you've been there already I tried looking it up on the map I couldn't find it that you were talking about but there is a attraction here called The thing
I think its important to use some creativity to create our interpretations of dinosaurs. Also given that new research might show that raptors and other dinosaurs had feathers I think some artistic interpretation such as mating frills can be allowed. Also while that dinosaur might not of had them its realistic to believe one could have.
I guess my point is were already guessing a lot about these dinosaurs so why not guess a little more for a fun dino park.
have you been to Alpena Dino Gardens yet?
Hello! Said the little girl.
most dinosaur are more closely related to birds in fact the t-Rex's closes living relative is the chicken.
No, birds are related to dinosaurs (your phrasing should be reversed). They actually are, technically, dinosaurs. I love watching birds run as it's the closest to seeing a Rex run we'll get.
@@englishatheart totally my bad 😋! I don't know why I wrote it like that, sorry🤗!
What about kentosaurs that's not in dinosaur things you vedio Jacob because kentosaurs and steagosrs their in the family.
Mini T Rex were babies
I'm team antifrill! 😄
Hey Jacob how ya been? Happy early Thanksgiving ;)
Anti-frill! Lol
If you haven't already I would really like to see you make videos here in Arizona
Captainpokedash cigan He has! Check his map!
@@conniecrawford5231 i wach youtube mostly on my ps4 sometimes on my phone
I'm pro Jurassic Park it ignited generations of dinosaur fans
this exhibit may be too graphic for young children
No frill!
Frill! They look far more bad ass that way.
Anti-frill
