Strawberry Farms, Strawberry Stands, The Strawberry Festival fair grounds, famous Parksdale Market, The Strawberry Hut, A Strawberry Petting Zoo, and even a visit to Stingray Chevrolet to see the new Corvette Stingray that will be raffled away at the Florida Strawberry Festival 2024! @@TampaJay it is indeed hardwork and low pay by our standards. However, most is sent back to their Countries and families where such pay is better sadly (& yes, good luck finding Gen Z or any other to do it; technology is the issue perhaps). But, any quick look at demographics to pick this or that, drastically changes all aspects of the community and birthrate levels (which is instantly a legal us citizen). So, it comes at a cost to what a community may have been. Thousands of communities changed from 90% European-American to less than 35% since 1990 of these communities. From schools to libraries, that is an entire new World regardless of pc or not pc views.

Thank u Jay for mentioning the pickers. My husbands grandfather work in the fields of Stockton Ca. And my father was a picker in Orange Co. Calif. in the 40’s and 50’s right where Disneyland is standing now.

That Trans Am was AMAZING. My ex had one when I met him. Same ,only brown. Had the bird on front too! Loved that car! He traded it in for a Fiat. God only knows why.

Really enjoyed this video Jay. Originally from Northern Michigan and my grandma was the same way with canning everything from my grandpa’s garden. Their old cellar was filled with enough jars to supply our entire family all year until the next crops! My favorites were her canned tomatoes and beets too! What I wouldn’t give to have another jar of each and her here again.❤️ Maybe our paths with cross at the Strawberry Festival!

Great video. I sure wish we could get Plant City strawberries up here in Kentucky. You always seem to show something that triggers a memory for me from when I lived in the Tampa Bay area and other parts of Florida. My Mom got her first teaching job at an elementary school in Plant City. It was not desegregated yet and was all black. She loved it. When you mentioned the high school, I forgot I went there from KHS on the school bus for a football game. It was raining and we lost, but it was fun.

My mom canned tomatoes, sweet pickles, corn, green beans and peaches that came from Colorado's western slope. Come to Colorado in August when the peaches come. By the way, Colorado's Buc-ees opens March 18 next month. Just north of Denver.

They are not. They are are here on work visas and therefor the owners of the farms do not have to pay them minimum wage. Happy to educate you.

The strawberry workers make No less then $10:50cents to $15 an hour. Look it up.
