You're so welcome!
I just got a fish out and tor Christmas and I am planning to be true fish next week in January the third or second and this just really helped me out cause I got a fake fish stuff and messed it up with the sand so this video just really helped. Thank you! 😁😁😁
Good luck!
Straight and to the point 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank You
I have quick start, water conditioner and stress zyme. How to correctly use them when change water as I have the existing tank with fish in the tank.
Dave L if you use city water then u will need to add conditioner for sure every time. I only use stress when adding to new tank. I add quick start when cleaning a sponge filter or other filter media to help seed new bacteria. I never clean/change all my filter media at once,I rotate to make sure there is always enough bacteria
Excellent instructional video!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for great instructions
Great video many thanks
Nice and simple.... good job man.

I have some questions. Does this set up and liquids work for glow fish? How do I go about changing the water since I think I have been over feeding and my water is cloudy? And also where would I place the mesh coil bags for taking all the cloudiness away?
Hello I need some advice. I'm planning to change an aquarium from 10 gallon to 20 gallon. My worry is that, although the table I used to my 10 gallon was as wide as 20. But it's length was only as long as 10 gal. Do I need to find a bigger table or the table that I currently using was enough? Thank You
I would definitely make sure the table u use can hold the weight and supports the entire frame of the tank.
This is my plan I have the new tank and new filter..their a tad bit different im size.My current filter is fluval 30,and the new one is a fluval 50.The fluval 30 is good tanks 10-30gallons and the fluval 50 is good for tanks 20-50.As ive heard you always wanna go up or upgrade from your current filter when upgrading in tank size
How did your plan turn out?
Shout out from Australia 💟💟💟
Thank you. The starter kit I bought for my nephew doesn't consider noobs like us. This helps alot.
You’re welcome! Any other questions please ask and I’ll try and help!
Love it helped a lot 😁😁😁
When using quick start should I add ammonia than the quick start? So it can break that down and ultimately start the process, I have six shrimp on the way and my tank has not cycled yet so I need the best possible way to have it cuddled by the time they get here.
Foreign_ Swagger It depends on how quickly they are coming. If the ammonia is at 0 and nitrite is low when yr shrimp arrive that’d be ideal
Good video 🙏🏽
Thank you!!!
Why is my PH, KH, Alkalinity and Water Hardness high in my 40 gallon (Glofish)fresh water fish tank?
Great video, thanks! any chance you could add the link to the filter into the description? I've been looking for a quieter filter :)
Tqsm❤️❤️❤️
this is the best
Very informative video. Got a 10 gl tank with all the setup, added conditioner and quick start. After 24 hours took the sample to store and they said water is fine. Got 2 glow fish and they died in few hours. Do I need to cycle the water more? Like that ammonia nitrite and nitrate thing?
I’m assuming that if they died that quick it’s not from ammonia, nitrates, or nitrites. How long was your trip from the fish store? How long did you float the bag before adding your fish to your tank? And what temp is your tank at? Also what did the fish look like before they died… any white spots, bloated stomach or ripped up fins, anything that would indicate they are not healthy?
I’m just stating my tank and I’ve been letting the water filter for a couple days can my water in cloudy is that normal
I made a video on one of these, but mine is only a 1 gallon tank. I bought it at a garage sale so maybe it was an older version?
hi I've set up the 20g and transferred my old bio media with the new in the new filter and transferred my substrate,it hasn't been 24hrs yet and I haven't added any fish neither.I just did a water test out of curiosity and to my surprise it showed 0 ammonia,0 nitrites and 0 nitrates.im a little baffled by this because there is no fish or waste nor any food.Help me out pls!!!
Transferring your cycled bio media and substrate brings a large amount of beneficial bacteria into the new tank which should allow u to skip the cycling process. Just add fish. As long as your not going from a 10 gal to 55 gal fully stocked with fish lol
A 'how to' video wow this is just what the internet needs.
If I’m trying to host minnows, can I simply use water from a pond to get started?
Just started up our tank yesterday. I am using tap water and purchased “aqua essential” and “stress coat +” I was going to wait a week to add fish. In the mean time should I be adding more of the product or is the once does sufficient?
since the upgrade my fish are doing well so far..the water parimters are good 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, it seems since I transferred my old media and substrate it seems to be working
Good to know! Glad everything is working out
Thanks for showing us how to do this..
Your welcome glad I could help
Can you make a video on how to change the water? Also, great vid! I’m about to buyThe filter you used! It’s cheap and it looks amazing! Keep up the great work!
I will hopefully be making some new videos in the near future, my home life has had some major changes in it and I want to get back to making videos as soon as possible. But I do have some videos going over the python water changing systems that might help.
Great video
thanks
Thanks!
Lovely aquarium
Thank you so much for your kind comments.
thank u i’m only 14 and this helped so much since my dad doesn’t wanna help me set it up
glad i could help.
That was the best
My family had 100+ guppies for over 14 years and this year in January there was a fight at my nans and someone broke the fish tank and most of our fish died but we still have nearly 30 guppies left. I just bought a Marina LED 10 gallon tank. Do you think a 10 gallon tank is ok just until im able to buy a bigger fish tank?
Yes it should temporarily house them.
I have a couple established tanks but I have to move my fish to a new house does bringing the water from the old tank help also how long should I wait to put the fish in I have put quick start in the tank already
So establishing a tank deals with the nitrogen cycle and growing beneficial bacteria. I would 1st ask what kind of filter u have on the current tank and suggest moving all the filter media to the new tank. That filter media will have much more beneficial bacteria then the water. Actually the water brings very little bacteria with it.That current filter will bring enough of the beneficial bacteria with and your tank will pretty much be cycled. Then make sure the new tank has been dechlorinated and adding quick start will help grow good bacteria on any surface that doesnt have it. If I can I will make a video soon about cycled media and moving it to a new tank. Any other questions please ask and I'll try to respond as quickly as possible. Thanks!
Electric Blue Aquariums thank you
my aqua is similar to your aquarium, is it okay to put a top filter and sponge filter inside the tank? or is it better to put only one
I use multiple filters in all my tanks now it is fine. Then I alternate cleaning them and I have stopped the chance of my tanks going through the cycle process again. Haven’t had an ammonia spike since
Really helpful bro
Thank you! Glad I could help
Thank u so much
No problem! If you have any questions please ask i would love to do new videos on what others need help with.
Thank you so much for this vid. Insightful! Quick question, is there any specific mat material I should purchase? Do you have a link to where you got yours?
i just used a yoga mat from Walmart i believe
If I missed this in the questions below, I apologize.
I’ve never seen a mat placed underneath the fish tank. I love that idea. Where did you get it?
I have always been putting something like a towel under the tank which I learned from my dad, the yoga mat idea many people on CZcams use I think I probably got it from kingofdiy, he’s my favorite to learn from.
This video help me so much
I’m glad, thank you for the nice comment!!!
