The thing is, that people never seem to realise is that even the worst F1 driver is still a bloody good racer.
Of course a lot of talent is involved but when racing is like the only thing in your life since you’re a baby for sure helps a lot. Still very impressive how good the *bad* drivers are
It doesn't matter. There are a lot of bloody good drivers. F1 should have only the best drivers who get there on merit and not because daddy literally bought me a seat. Otherwise what tha fck is the point.

A WEC seat would be unlikely considering him and his dad are personally sanctioned by the EU Commission, so he would not be able to go to any EU nations
According to the calendar the can only race in Bahrain, the very last race of the season
He can tho, the court actually lifted some of restrictions so Mazepin could race on EU. Check on the Court documents

@@kadasrichard difference, Nikita Mazepin has had sanctions put on *him*, Nikolay hasn't. Nikolay has a residency visa elsewhere hence why he can apply for a travel visa to the EU

A retrospective of former F1 drivers, what happened to them & where they are now could be a good series idea: maybe the likes of Pascal Wehrlein, Felipe Massa, Kamui Kobayashi and Hekki Kovalainen could be good subjects.
This was a surprisingly insightful video, thank you Will. I knew Mazespin could actually use his talent somewhere! … Just outside of the track.

I think that if Mazepin wants to have an even outside chance of returning to F1 he needs to return to F2 first and then do well there ... he wouldnt be the first driver to do a full season in F1 and then go back to F2 (Grosjean did that too, back when F2 was still called GP2)

Putting all the red flags around the dude to one side (and that's hard because there's so many) he simply doesn't have the ability to compete in F1. There's only 20 seats, and he's nowhere near good enough for them.

There’s one way Mazepin returns to F1, but it’s unlikely. Hitech are one of the interested suitors in either buying a team outright or being the 11th team, the reason why it’s unlikely is because they’re backed by Mazepin Sr, so I doubt F1 would allow it.
Well FOM, Domenicali, Toto, etc have a weird vendetta/hate boner against Andretti. I can easily see them bringing back the Mazepins out of spite once they run out of BS reasons and limits to keep the Andrettis out.

No russian or belarus individual should be permitted to compete in any international sports event under any circumstances whatsoever until such time as russia withdraws from Ukrainian territory and all russian funds frozen offshore are given to Ukrainian to pay for its reconstruction!

People made fun of Mazepin for spinning on the first lap of his F1 debut and praised Schumacher instead. But in the end Mick lost his seat partly due to crashing his car a lot.

I actually knew Nolan Siegel from his days on the Road to Indy ladder.
I don’t believe there has been any major shunts so far in 23 without Mick & Mazespin, oh the irony.

At risk of doing a whataboutism, I'm VERY curious about what Latifi's plans for the future are. All things considered, he's too talented to just retire from racing, and I think he would be pretty decent in WEC for example. Mazepin on the other hand tried one of WEC's feeder series and, considering his resume, was kind of disappointing despite the results.
He was supposed to get an IndyCar contact with Chip Ganassi Racing but it was only a rumor unfortunately
Latifi will probably just do club racing in Canada as far as I'm concerned.
Might end up in SCCC as the only entry in the GT4 class.
I wouldn't share any teapots for the next few months mate just to be on the safe side 😂

The Abu Dhabi clip tells you all you need to know about this person. He entered F1 under a cloud. The mechanics were afriad of him, and thankfully, after spiningand crashing countless cars - left F1 smartish. Now he is copying Lando's venture into DJ-ing - maybe with a vision of a new alliance : 'Mazando' / 'Spinando' at pre race venues and local weddings?
