I LOVE the fact that Dalton’s actor actually became an actor. It helps make this film feel real.
Would love to see him in more stuff! We liked the performances he gave!
@@OfficialMediaKnightshe was the younger brother in Jurassic world; he’s a phenomenal actor. Anytime he cries you can really feel it.
@@jowii.6170he was also the kid Tony Stark enlisted to help him in Iron Man 3.
Patrick Wilson’s directing is already great, he has so much passion for this franchise and it’s obvious in this film. Just wish writing wise it was better.
Patrick Wilson did an amazing job! You can see he’s learned A LOT from James Wan while still trying new things. But the tension and it’s timing was really good!
The film received mixed to negative reviews, but has become a box office success, $174 million dollars against a $16 million dollar budget.
Blumhouse has figured out a way to make these movies profitable! Plus this was already a very well established franchise. It’s insane to see the numbers it made!
The only negative point is that it wasn't as scary as the other ones
Just went to watch this movie today and I really loved it. I loved the father and son moments and really felt that empathy for Josh, Renai, the kids and even Josh's father. When Josh was staying behind and I thought he was going out for his son I actually started tearing up! The moment at the end with the hug and new painting was really beautiful- 3 generations in one picture, Dalton, Josh and his father (lamp/light). Of course, there were some elements lacking and it felt a bit rushed but overall it was solid for me! Really felt Patricks passion in this project. The ending credit song! Patrick singing with GHOST was the cherry on top! Beautiful! Patrick is multi talented!
15:07 - “Stumble into the further”- I am weakkkk 😂
Hahaha listen you do what you gotta do 😂
Loved how they were able to build the tension multiple times in the movie, especially the MRI scene!
Yeeessss, the MRI sequence was awesome!
If you guys have not watched The Thing (1982), it needs to be a priority on your list. A masterpiece of suspense and practical special effects by Rob Bottin.
Oh absofrickenlutely!!! Definitely adding that to the top of our list!!! Thanks for the recommendation!
Sometimes drama qualifies as horror, and some things like that are long running shows like Breaking Bad (5 seasons), Battlestar Galactica miniseries to season 1-5, and animes like Shingeki no Kyojin, Death Note, and tbh, a list longer than a cvs reciept. Anime goes harder than a lot of films. Oh but hey, Y'all gotta get Bullet Train/Collateral on your list, both are assassin films you can't miss!
Bullet train is actually on our list! Can’t wait to watch it! Thank you for the suggestions ❤️
I love this continuation.
We definitely enjoyed it plenty!
I've heard ppl hating on this movie. Based of this reaction video i thought it wasn't that bad. Actually seemed good.
edit: maybe bc it's cutdown, and i didn't experienced the full movie, it was way better.
It’s not a horrible movie by any means! We have things we love and things we don’t as we mentioned in the commentary. We actually think the horror aspect is done quite well!
the movie was effectve af in the horror aspects
The jump scares and tension were on point!
6:22-6:26 His face made me tear up😢😢
Yeah, that scene was heartbreaking!
@@OfficialMediaKnights🥺
Such an amazing conclusion. It was a mature ending for the characters we got to know. Great reaction and review.
The movie is tied to be good and bad at the same time , but it still good to complete the original trilogy
They did an incredible job applying jumpscares at the right time
Dalton break's up with who jealous of me real quick
Rose is still gorgeous
She’s aging like fine wine!
I was so excited for this new Insidious! The shots, and editing were both very interesting and you can tell that Patrick Wilson wanted to prove that he could grasp directing while acting however, I think the script could have been reviewed a few more times before shooting, some of the lines seemed too much like they were reading the script, almost as if I could see the script beside the image or...it's my film brain talking haha! I'm interested in what you both think about that! Let me know.
The editing choices and the cinematography especially while they were building up a jump scare was executed nicely! We were impressed by Patrick Wilson. Acting while you’re also in the middle of your directorial debut can’t be easy. I’m assuming that’s why Father and son Pair are separated during this film for the most part. I think some of the dialogue felt a little flat or lacked a certain dynamic. But thankfully this doesn’t happen throughout the entire movie. And the third act was definitely a bit lackluster. We think it was a good time but the script definitely needed a revision!
I don't really have positive associations with the Insidious franchise. If I enjoyed any of them, it was the first one. I think I've described it as a horror franchise without fun. I've barely paid attention to its sequels, no one's ever really been on my case to enjoy this series. Nightmare on Elm Street films with Robert Englund were my first favorite horror films. Wish he was still at it, but he hung up the costume.
The first 2 Insidious films are pretty good! Nightmare on Elm Street is a classic! Haven’t watched all of them though!
The first two and this one are the best one.
I'm in college Dalton actually I go home every month
Dead people don't miss anything Gave me life
There was less dramatic ways to go about Got me on the floor dying Hilarious
Damn i have never watched the insidius movies. I saw the trailer for the 1st one when it came out and thought it was just another cheesy horror movie, but seeing this now has changed my mind. I gotta watch the series now. Super creative how some of the shots were taken in this film.
It was actually Patrick Wilson’s directorial debut! He acted and directed which is huge especially for a first time director. You should check out the first 2!
Did you guys even react to the first one? I can't seem to find it
How did you find this movie. I try to find Almost everywhere but never found it ???
69 comments? I'm here to ruin this!
Seriously though... The portrayal of difficult father and son relationship is very accurate/plausible. It hits home. Seeing the father crying in his car was sad. :(
Love your videos ❤
Thank you so much for the support, we're so glad you enjoy!
@@OfficialMediaKnights yeah I love the movie I saw in the movie theaters
I'm pretty sure that blurry silhouette walking up to Josh's car is his mom.
Ohhhh, wonder if that's possible!!
@OfficialMediaKnights I mean, it adds up. They're at her funeral, same hair color/length, etc. His mother walking up to his car to see him off as he leaves her funeral felt like what they were going for with that scene.
Its my first insidious but I really like it
Where are the previous Insidious installments?
There are many things I like about this movie and the way Patrick Wilson directed it! But the end felt rushed and kinda dumb
Yeaaah the third act really did feel a bit lackluster, especially with the way the tension was built quite well in the first two!
no way u guys didn't do the conjuring movies
Check out..

Weirdly dalton is looking kinda like the trench coat guy in the second movie. With that hair and face
Dalton dad said you married tahereh named zenyda good 😅😊 tahereh in love him but other things dang
Well, I'm not sleeping tonight.
Noooo, you got this, we know you do!!
I hated that pretentious art teacher.
There were some issues with the movie but overall I like it there were some good scares in it
Precisely, it's got enough to keep us happy, though there were some letdowns as well. Overall it was fine, really
Elyseeeeeeee ❤❤❤❤
Her showing up was a nice touch! We miss her!
Dalton break's up with women over college roomate
Are you guys a couple
Unpopular opinion:
There was a missed opportunity to have Jenna Ortega as Daltons best friend or the roommate in this one since she made an appearance at the end of Insidious Chapter 2
And 100% married as American that is black female
Great video
Thank you for watching!
You're welcome, you guys!
