Super helpful!!! I played a match recently and used these tips to great effect. My opponents were baffled how much I increased my serve speed. Secret weapons! Thanks again Ryan for the great video.
That’s awesome to hear!
Great observation RE racquet face at setup 🔥
Thanks so much Ian! So happy you watched and commented. That’s a big endorsement coming from you. Thanks man!
Best videos on serving. Just incredible stuff. Learnt so much. Thanks!!
Thank you Ryan, the Birthday Hat method is stupendous 😆🎾
These five tips are invaluable.
For more advanced players I would add a loose arm and wrist to the list as #6.
That's the difference between a solid serve and a real bomb. And for beginners not too easy to adapt without accidentally throwing away the racquet.
Requires fresh overgrips as well.
Great video i will try each step.
Thank you so much!!!
I think you're probably the best online coach I have seen, and certainly my favourite, however I have what will probably be a very unpopular question for you. What do you think about the idea that 80% of players will never play a high enough level to bother using anything other than a waiter tray which is 1. extremely easy to learn compared to a continental grip, pronated serve. 2. extremely consistent and reliable. Those players could spend months trying to learn something that is extremely difficult, foregoing other improvements in their game and end up with a serve which is INFERIOR to a waiter tray, potentially leading to frustration and even quitting, especially at a younger age.
Great summation of the steps of a consistent serve Ryan. I will apply them and hopefully improve my pronation which is the main facet which I'm lacking. BTW: you look lean and fit !
Best video in a while! Thanks, Ryan.
Glad you liked it !!!
Excellent tips
amazing video!!! so much here to get my serve better!!!
Thanks so much J C
Awesome tips. Love the birthday hat trick. ❤
Thank you ❤
Best video !
Usually when you suggested serving with the back side of the strings I’d do it 3-4 times.I went out today and served 40 balls with the wrong side. Interesting drill
That’s awesome to hear. Keep preferring it. It’ll make a big difference in your normal service motion.
Yes sir your right 💯
Low level player they close the racket face.
Higher level player they open the racket face.
Thank u for great tips ❤❤❤
Appreciate the support!
good tips Ryan I will add one more that helps me, lift up the tip of front foot - prevents foot fault and it helps me to time the leg drive better the same time I move my throwing hand up, the tip of the foot will fall down and legs will start to bend, I noticed thats what pros do, Fed is interesting cause he lifts not the tip but his heel slightly - its all also related to weight transfar -front-back-front --> helps with rhytm
Yep! Thanks Igor.
oh damn, gotta try tip 5
Let me know how it goes for you!
Great video! BUT! show me one player who is crossing the left arm.
Thanks! Now, are you asking me to show you a player bc you don’t think I can? Or are you genuinely asking me bc you want to start doing it in your own serve?
Awesome … any tips for using the legs and jump??
type into the youtube search "2minutetennis serve leg drive" and you'll see a dozen videos to choose from. Thanks!
Dodig needs a lesson off you He has a forehand grip on the serve
I wore my birthday hat in my last match and people gave me cake afterwards. Great tips!
Haha smart thinking!
Why is the first pronation showing the back of the racquet and the other one you showed targeting between two nets?
There were two different pronations?
Sorry. I don’t understand your question.
There’s only one pronation. There’s supination and pronation.
@@2MinuteTennis one seemed to hit the ball and as soon as the ball hit, you did the pronation.
The other one you explained in the video, it is like getting the wrong side of the racquet towards the ball and then do the pronation and hit.
@@webbezzy it’s a drill for players who go palm up.
The latter More side slice?
