- The new Porsche Taycan Turbo S can generate up to 560 kW (761 horsepower) overboost power in combination with Launch Control, and the Taycan Turbo up to 500 kW (680 HP). The Taycan Turbo S accelerates from 0 to 100 kmh (62mph) in 2.8 seconds, while the Taycan Turbo completes this sprint in 3.2 seconds. The Turbo S has a range of up to 412 kilometres, and the Turbo a range of up to 450 kilometres. The top speed of both all-wheel-drive models is 260 kmh (161mph).
The introduction of the Taycan is generating 1,200 new jobs in Zuffenhausen plant. “The Taycan is one of biggest creators of jobs in the history of Porsche,” emphasises Andreas Haffner, Member of the Executive Board responsible for HR and Social Affairs. Not all of these new employees will be producing the Taycan; they will also build two-door sports cars. Porsche’s aim for the Taycan is to create a team with a healthy mix of experienced sports car manufacturers and new staff. This development will also see a large-scale training initiative take place in a specially created production hall built on the training centre premises in Zuffenhausen. A digital learning platform, which contains over 1,400 training units on issues related to digital transformation and allows users to study independently and according to their needs, will also be available for the entire workforce as they join Porsche on its journey into the electric and digital era.

Meditation for a misanthropist; I love it.
They have a wonderful choreographed flow to them. Of course they have to, but still quite interesting.
i watched this, with 1.75x speeds, STill so relaxing, and few people fingering the Porches :-D

Exactly my thoughts as well.
People say that the Taycan doesn't look as good as a Porsche should, but I think it's badass looking
I visited the factory with my BF this past April and their assembly line and production are awesome! I'm not even a car fan but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Best tour I've ever taken.

I love it, i dont know if this technology for painting cars was around back in 2003 when i bought my 3 year old 911 C4 but i can tell you that every part of the car is properly painted, and nearly 20 years later it is 99.5% rust and corrosion free, even with it enduring many Michigan winters. My 1995 Audi is also holding up in the same way, maybe 98% rust free but compared to other manufactures cars that i have seen that are only 6, 8 or 10 years old, these German cars are build remarkably well and truly hold up to the test of time, i cannot say this for the dozens of Chevy, Nissan, Honda, Ford and other vehicles i see in the shop every week. I have seen $65,000 to $92,000 trucks that are only 5 to 8 years old and they are close to 25%-30% rusted, it is a unbelievable difference until you see it yourself.

They would if people would pay for the higher quality measures.
@@ISellPron Doesn't have to be that high but they should at least strive for Toyota Camry quality which is a budget car. Right now Tesla is below Datsun level quality with all the rattles, body alignment issues and paint issues they have. At least they are better than Trabant but not by much.
@@ISellPron Tesla fanboy spotted! Teslas are not cheap!
@@vripiatbuzoi9188 Is tesla better or worse than Yugo?
@@paname514 It is better than Yugo but that's not a high bar. It's not better than even a cheep Toyota. Let's be clear here that I am talking about the body and interior build quality only. Everything else like the skate, battery, frame, suspension, electronics, and all the guts are second to none especially for the price. This is why there is such a disconnect between opinions. Yes that car drives and handles like a dream, better than any ICE vehicle but there was no attention given to the interior joining of parts. It's a rattle-box and gives off a feeling of cheapness. For example when closing the doors you can hear a bunch of loose pieces in there and doesn't have that tightness of a Lexus or German car. The seat belt extender on the b-pillar, the dash board, the seats, and even the frame itself, creeks, and makes all kind of loose noises when driving aggressively or on bumpy roads. Then there are all the panel misalignment and uneven gaps along with all the paint defects. Tesla will probably improve this over time.

better than a tesla but not sure it 30k more worth...
@@campkira I think it definetly is worth more than 30k more than a Tesla. Teslas are cheaply produced dirt cars. The amount of problems and lacking quality control they have is astounding. Also Porsche uses a lot of manual labour and that costs money. Especially since they pay their workers verry well. Tesla is using a lot of robots and even then the price is pretty high; with huge quality problems. So yeah I think the price is justified. A Porsche is not a car for everyone. But they´ve never been and will never be. Porsches are luxury cars and that has a price.
@@detroxx56784 yes, the car is probably worth about 1,8x but it only costs 1,5x as much.

27:41 Porche panel gap flex to Tesla
I've seen many Teslas model 3s in person, perfect, tight gaps. Lying about it won't make a difference, you know?
@@strategicthinker8899 Maybe your standards are low? Because i sat in only one model 3 and found lots of things that discomfort me. Uneven gaps at the trunk. The big gaps between the door panels and the rest of the interior even when the doors are shut properly. And the lack of a rubber sealing to make a nice finish between the headlining and the glass roof just to mention the first three that come to my mind.
@@Andi-ft5rt The panel gap issue has been mostly debunked. Yes, they exist, but they're not as bad as they used to be and they're blown out of proportion (Model Y might be a different situation though). Every single Model S, 3 and X I've seen in person has had panel gaps about equivalent to literally every other car I've ever seen. One Model 3 should not judge the hundreds of thousands of other Tesla vehicles on the road and in production. Imagine if I sat in a Porsche then noticed that a door had a 0.000000001mm larger gap than it should and said "Well obviously all Porsche vehicles are very low quality and I will never purchase them". I quite like the Taycan, but for the price I would rather have a Model S, what's the point in having a fast car if you can't go anywhere with it?
