For me it was the race on Zandvoort where he pitted for new tyres under the safety car and had to catch back up in a few laps and flew by everyone. Absolutely wonderful display of skill

I could be wrong, but I believe the reason you can get right on the pace or improve after a few weeks is the neuron connections forming doing time trial and strengthening over time. When you come back to the same track, those neurons are ready to go and will strengthen even further. This is a crude understanding and description but should get the point across.

it takes time for your subconscious mind to process the information you gained from the first runs too...might just be a less scientific version of what you just said. Doing something, taking a brief break, and coming back to it is more effective a lot of times than just grinding away with no break.

The DT' comes from the fact that they did not activate the pit limit in the pit lane. The game considered the delta positive, and therefore gave the penalty. Quite unfortunate...

The tyre wear thing is quite understandable, I've noticed that on new tyres, they're more rigid but do have more latent grip, it just is well rigid. Once that first few % drops off, they become the tiniest bit slidy, like literally just a little not much but enough to notice through corners as you can kinda rag the car around a little more
You can try 2 outlaps and then a push. I faced kinda same issue 2-3 years back, it helped me during that time.

With your point at @2:00 ish, the reason this is the case is because muscle memory actually develops after you have done something over and over again. So if you spend 5 hours on a track, the additional muscle memory wont be learnt until the next few days or so. Another reason why breaks are hugely important.
I think the reason you do better on the used tyres and why you do so much better after a bit of a break are the same - you are more comfortable, subconsciously. You're looser on the used tyres because you're thinking more about the next lap with the new tyres, and you're better after taking a break because you're being more lenient with yourself when you first get back on track. Do you have a psychologist or mental coach?

I've noticed being slower on new tires too, even on F1 2020. My theory is new tires are so grippy that when you're trying to push the car to its limits what ends up happening is the car just rotates way too much when actually you wanna just throw the car around corners and rely on the outside tire grip to keep things stable. That's why after a lap or 2 you feel noticeably faster because that extreme grip is gone, now you can throw the car around a lot more instead of the car rotating too much. does that makes sense? that's literally how it feels to me. I think the first 3 corners on Brazil can demonstrate this perfectly. On new tires you're more careful not to oversteer the car on the curbs because you'll spin out. On used tires you can throw the car at the curbs and it'll slide to the next turn granted that you set up the move.

You are better after taking a break because it gives your brain time to catch up. Your brain needs this cause there is so much to remember for each corner. It also helps your muscle memory

Btw yarno the answer to your question of why coming back after a while makes you so much better is just muscle memory, because you kno the track, its easier to be at one with the track and subsequently find extra pace when ure comfortable

if you just turn the volume of your game down a bit, it might solve the problem of the crackling. seems like it might be clipping the level of the audio when it gets recorded, and then you get that sound and theres no real way to change it once its recorded. if thats the problem, simply turning the level of the audio of the game down should solve it!

Dani got red delta before pit entry and you don't. Why did you pressure him with speed before the pit? With like more green delta Dani could make it, and you need to drive safely under SC to not crush into him if his delta changes and he brakes suddenly.

If you’re quicker on used tyres you should fuel for an extra lap and in q3 do 2 laps in a row, maybe you’ll improve on the last run

The scrattling or whatever you call it, about the sound. I get it, just playing the game myself. Does anyone know if it is somethings to do with the game, or if it in this case only comes from Jarno's streamlabs recording? It's really annoying listening to all the time when driving.
I couldn't hear it myself in game. But if you can make sure to go to audio settings and set your audio simularion settings to ultra low.
