Nice mod. Is that Deep Forest Green or Army Green on the spray paint? Looks like the latter.
Another mod you can try. The lights look really bad. It’s very obvious that it’s just an LED glued to the side of the cylinder. You have a lot of room to work with in the main body. You can mount green LED between the eye holes and the lenses, under the lenses facing up. Then get some transparent semi mirrored lenses to install at a 45 degree angle above the LEDs. This will make it look like the light is coming from the back and center of the lenses without obstructing your vision.
Additionally you may be able to amount the LEDs under a small set of real camera lenses so the effect that will be seen reflected on the angled lenses might look like the fake lenses are real focusing lenses. Again without interfering with your vision. You may need to play around with the perspective and shape given the angle of the aforementioned angled lenses.

After seeing what you did. I do have a few questions. I have gone out and found some of the bolts for the goggles if I where to make my own from schematics I have found on the net. How hard would it be to add them to the lenses shaft? Would I have to break off the ones on there and drill, and would it mess up the LED in it?
I'd reckon it'd be possible, but unsure how hard it'd be to remove the lenses so you could begin modifying them. I know Just Some Nerd had a heck of a time just getting the back panel off (czcams.com/video/IY2RkiymVFA/video.html).

I used "googly eyes " from the Dollar store and painted them silver for the rivets
