Love this Joy! I feel we definitely need more customisation. I'd love to see more ethnic features and hairstyles and make up that actually looks nice on darker skin tones.

Exactly this! I can understand when they say that it isn’t as easy to add new body shapes but it’s been 10 years. People have been requesting that for so long that now it seems like an excuse. Simple additions like freckles or beauty spots and dimples aren’t hard to add (considering preteens have freckles)
Plenty black simmers have been requesting more make up options for darker sims. I can appreciate that they have updates that focus on different cultures but what’s the point if items like clothes and hair are usually grand prizes for influence island (which is based on luck or sp) or sim chase (which is terribly expensive and time consuming) It feels like you have to pay for diversity and inclusion. Meanwhile new players are stuck with out of date furniture and clothes and hair and and and… All of a sudden it’s a game where you have to keep digging in your wallet if you want decent looking items (and don’t get me wrong I like supporting game devs with in app purchases when I can but some of these items are so expensive it’s ridiculous)
After all these years I think it’s inexcusable.

I've been playing the game for probably almost as long as you, Joy, and I have always thought that the sims themselves never really stood up to other graphics in other games. If EA wanted a stylized look then *do that,* but there's no reason for this low quality rendering. (This is basically why I've stopped caring about the sims themselves and focus on building.)

Same here! Been playing this game on and off for the last 10 years because of the exact reasons you mentioned, and also the developers' lack of innovation and also inclusivity within the game. and the unnecessary competition-based games were/are just such an inconvenience 😭

Definitely agree, there has been very little progress. I feel like they're now more focused on making events (like influence island) so that they can get as much money out of players as possible. It's like they make the game solely around what will force players to spend money rather than on details like you've talked about, that would keep players playing (and in turn wanting to spend money rather than feeling forced to). That has been the real turn off for me and I rarely play now.
I do the surveys but they don't seem to listen to feedback which is also discouraging.

Omg I know what you mean!!!! I used to be addicted to Sims Freeplay back then I played everyday couldn't wait until school was over so I get home and open the game but now it's like everything is just repeating and look the same we don't have quests anymore simchase and influence island is never interesting so I don't waste my time on that right now I just open the game to collect my daily simoleons then I'm gone. I wish they would have a grand update better hd graphics new quests because I'm losing interesting really fast

Me too! I just send them to work everyday and collect my Simleons. The only thing I really like are the live events and building and decorating houses.

Every Sim has the same body which started to upset me because they have the sims like Santa and the green guy who run around looking different but they can’t implement it into the actual CAS for some reason

They game developers have spoken about it. They explained that the original coding of the game makes it challenging to make customisation. But they are working on it. So hopefully soon the graphics will improve 🥰

Even 10 years ago technology would have allowed them to do that if they wanted to, but mobile games were not what they are now. However, they did a great job with Sims 3 in 2009, which is, in my opinion, better than Sims 4

I couldn't agree with you more. I haven't even been active with my game, for quite sometime. After two updates ago, I lost all of my neighbors, that in turn made me lose interest. I still update the game.
I hope that all is well.

3:04 facts, and the game is called The Sims 🤣 actually they downgraded them a little, they took the personalities away, back then we could make them evil, spiritual, geek, romantic, and so on… personality traits is a basic thing for a sims game.

I would love to see updated graphics and better makeup for darker skin tones. I miss the grieving interaction sims use to have after their partner died. After all this time, it would be nice if the team would tweak the overall looks of the sims.

Thank you joy. You went off. And thats ok you're a magnificent influencer and a gamer. However i was taking lots of tutorials on how to build my own game and its not so easy. For most of the things we want they weill have to brake the entire game and build it froms scratch. For diffeent body shapes for example. So i guess we gotta be a little patient. Those games offer yo< better looks. But do they have enaugh content? One thing is having good looks and another is building an entire town full of quests and creating friends and families and stories. Its not easy to put all this on a mobile game. Usually the good looking games are not to versatile. And those that are more practical dont look so good. So far we have a game thats in the middle.

Yes it’s not easy cramming all the aspects you mentioned into a mobile game and absolutely when it comes to different body shapes I’m aware they’d have to literally make a new game, but I’ve always felt the sims looked really rough and hoped for more in their texture\graphics… I really don’t like them. I spend more time in my Avakin Life wardrobe designing and playing with my Ava and I spend hours in Sims 4 CAS, I spend literally minutes in TSFP wardrobe because I’m uninspired by the sims looks, I just don’t play with them anymore. All I do now is build houses - I love that part but quests and events wear me out like a full time job, I’d rather play with sims than embark on those quests. 🥸

I definitely agree with everyone and that the Sims do need to update a lot of things. I would like to see spiral staircases, curving the houses are making them oval or circular shaped rooms I would even like to see the ceilings and making different patterns in the ceiling, and more jobs than the doctor, police, filmmaker those are pretty fun to do but so boring I stopped doing those. And for the love of God can we finish shady suburbs, I would like to see wider and longer lots. Because I am no longer purchasing anything until I see some major improvements and updates

Couldn't agree with you more, Joy. The game developers certainly can focus more on Sim development and facial features/expressions. I've played since 2013, and slowly losing interest. Tired of same old furnishings updates and excruciating long and boring tasks. Customization is needed.

The Worst Game Ever. For 10 years the graphics didn't change the graphics of the game is literally stuck 10 years ago and the time to finish a task is same in true life time too. And that's so bad. If EA listen to their customers. I think this game will be the best sims game ever. But they don't listen that's why this is the worst game in history ever. Rate this into 1 STAR ⭐. Well, it doesn't matter to me anymore 'cause I stopped playing in 2020. With so many updates, the game just got too heavy! It got to the point where I couldn't build anything 'cause it kept crashing! And with each update it crashed even more! At this point this game has so many items it's impossible for my cell phone to handle It! I only play Sims Mobile now, but it's getting booooooring. They're following the same path as FreePlay, repeating items with each update. We have 300 wardrobes, 300 dining tables, 300 windows, 300 doors, and on and on and on... That's all they care about 💤 I won't be surprised when Sims Mobile starts crashing just like FreePlay did because of too many items! Honestly, I don't know how long I'll keep playing.
