- How Millions Of Tons Of French Fries Are Made From Harvesting Delicious Potatoes
Over 4.5 billion pounds of french fries are consumed annually in America alone. They are a favorite midday snack, side dish, and wine companion. You can eat them as a side dish, lunchtime snack, late-night wine session, or snack. These exquisite fries, with their crispy and golden perfection, are a delight to both prepare and taste. Frying them is a mere step in their journey. If we rewind, you will see they went through many processes, and these fries were actually potatoes planted by someone. So, let's start with that, but before! Don’t forget to like this video and hit the subscribe button for more videos like these.

I love potatoes anyway they are cooked or served up, especially french fries. We plant and harvest around 1000lbs a year in our garden every summer and I love watching these farming videos and see how the big boys do it.
Do you eat all 1000 lbs in a year or give some away ?
@@rainerrain9689 We give 99% away to friends and the local food bank. Then in the spring we donate seed potatoes to our gardening friends.
This just the marvellous job farmers do for everyone. Try saying Thank-you some time soon.
woa, modern machines and this farm has huge a scale, thanks u

Amazing video.
I visited a potato processing plant in North Dakota a few years back and was impressed with how they create these fries for many different clients.

Why is the potato edible? It has a lot of plastic and is only used to cook it for cows to eat
@@babilionabm Lots of plastic? Cows? What are you on about?
50 years ago I had the task of cutting a sack of potatoes into 5mm fingers and assessing the cooking temp and time. That was how the company developed what was then called "chiplets"
That was awesome to see fries going through machines in bulk.
Why is the potato edible? It has a lot of plastic and is only used to cook it for cows to eat
Just like your mother!!! Love it!!!@@babilionabm
That steam peeler is huge!
Crazy I know
Not about potatoes, but about the center pivot. I used to see hundreds of red plastic cups in a field by the place I worked. That is how they measured how many inches of water it was putting out.
Why is the potato edible? It has a lot of plastic and is only used to cook it for cows to eat
Nice Video.... With full of information!!
Home potatoes the best
“These fries were actually potatoes planted by someone”. Target audience definitely American
Water comes out of a faucet. Electricity comes out of the wall.
It's always fantastic to see such production processes.
Thank you more on the way

its true that without modern equipment would be impossible to meet humane consumption , on other hand its good to state that humans have cultivate & consume potatoes in different ways for hundred years
Potatoes were planted by someone? Wow! who would have guessed?
Good
Ah, I don't see French Fries anywhere but I do see American Fries all over in the American's restaurants!
French fries turned into an ad for irrigation system, didn't see that one coming.
Now I’m hungry some fries !!😂😂
Nice!!
I grew up in Eastern Oregon . A place that grows potatoes for the Lamb Weston Manufacture. They make French fries among other potato products. Is extremely interesting to see how this has changed over the years
I totally agree
I lived in k falls and my grandfather grew potatoes

@@babilionabm how is a potato have plastic in it
@@babilionabm I think you have lost your mind if you think that a vegetable has plastic in it
I used to love fries as a kid. Now I find them extremely boring to eat.
This was very good.
This is one of the best video productions I've seen for this genre. Well done. Excellent voice over and appropriate graphics with none of the silliness many of these videos get.
Foods like potatoes are catalysts for economic growth, empowering farming communities and contributing to the prosperity of nations. I actually love eating potatoes haha.

thamks, the first 30 seconds made my brain hurt.
a wine session? what are we frenchman
The word french in french-fries comes from the word Frenching, not the country of France.
I hope you guys understand that this is an AI script. There's a lot of unnecessary repetition, and something seems 'off' at times.
I usually dont subscribe until i've watched the larger part of the video and it's an interesting subject. so tired of "Like and Subscribe" 2 minutes into a video I've never seen.
It's funny that to grow a potato, just plant a potato.
i love potato
Do you need a fully automatic french fries machine?
Frenched fries 😊
Producing millions of tons of French fries involves a series of steps, from growing and harvesting potatoes to processing, frying, and packaging.
I love tots and hash more than fries.
Hey guys, today we're taking a break from the usual craziness to explore the incredible world of agriculture machines. Trust me, it's way more exciting than you think!
In Ireland we just boil them and eat them..
They're explaining the right way
Ok own up. Who here plays Farming Simulator. I’ve made a fortune or two with those Ropa harvesters.
You just can't beat homemade chips. Yes it can mean more work, but worth every bite when done properly.
Why? there is no measurement while adding the salt in the cook French fries, that's why some salty some not.
It would be great if you provide the location of these areas.
Does anyone know what the potato harvester at 01:49 is called?
hi there i grow potatoes .but wow .john
I watched the full video. Now can you explain about the thumbnail 😊
I would much rather see how Millions Of Tons Of French Fries Are Made From Harvesting Delicious Carrots.
Nice video 😮😮😅😅😅😊
Wine conpanion???? i busted out laughing when i heard it the first time and now question it as if this video was saying that seriously. Do people eat french fries with wine?
Spudnick manufacturing is in Blackfoot Idaho, the potato capitol of the world.
5 billion pound? how many tons??????? Use meter system pliiiiiz
That is not french frites but BELGIUM frites.
💙💙💙💙
Is it possible for those who manufacture machines and sell it, can donate a machine to poor parts of Africa so they can plant potatoes too?
😊
I watched it all and did not learn a thing, maybe because I knew it all, I live on a farm half mile down wind from the plant and most days can smell the frying.
🥔🍟😋
This is where the Lays film is stolen from.
Fries were invented in Belgium so they are not French fries!
Yes “fries” were invented in Belgium BUT French fries were invented by the French hence the name, French fries have a certain size, shape and taste. American fries have a certain size shape and taste. Just because something was invented in a certain place doesn’t mean varieties can’t be called different things.
Not correct. The term French fries was a mistake because we they were invented in the French speaking part of Belgium. Lookup the video’s to learn or visit Belgium. I live in Belgium and know my roots😁
@@bartsalaets9460 mistake or not, the size, shape and texture for most fries is different depending on where they are made. Are you saying American fries are the same as Belgium fries or UK fries are the same? There are many many varieties of “fries” throughout the world. Just because fries were invented in Belgium doesn’t mean people can’t call them french fries in other places
The word french in french-fries comes from the word Frenching, not the country of France, but here in the US most people don't know that.

Renowned for crafting an array of potato products, notably the iconic French fries, the region has undergone captivating transformations throughout the years, reflecting the dynamic nature of this agricultural pursuit.
Bleach? Wow no wonder people get sick

Potatoes are a waste of effort. Use Soylent green.
consumed just how?
"And these fries were actually potatoes planted by someone"
EVERY fry ever made has come from a potato someone has planted..... That statement is redundant and ridiculous sounding..
I think any value of a spud is now gone
Would not surprise me if these were not Bill Gates potatoes or McDonald fries.

I'm new to CZcams and look forward to your support☘️😊🥰
Just make it so it slices and cooks them then gives you a massage and makes love to you. Then throws stones at you as you make the run of shame!! 😂 Extremely impressive equipment. BTW I looked and everything costs more than five bucks!! Outrageous!! I'll just get McDonalds fries please. Ole Ronald out there on the farm diggin taters!! Idk how he keeps up?? (Confused noises increase)
lol o totally agree
It's diabetes on a conveyor belt.
These are 'chips', pure and simple. Giving them an exotic title adds nothing to the basic taste. End of sermon!
The name might be exotic to you but these things have always been called ‘French fries’ in North America. ‘Chips’ in Canada and the US are what Brits call ‘crisps’. Different regions, different vernacular. End of lesson!
I dislike the video because the main part where the potato is shaped into fries is shown throw animation. It is not nuclear program that the different processes are shown through animation.
Please STOP calling all fries "French fries".
French Fries have a diameter of 6mm while normal fries have a diameter of 9 or 10mm
Chunkies are 10mm by 20mm and Grandma's fries are 12mm in diameter.
I should know, I have worked in a fries factory as a quality inspector.
Why don't you use candy?
BLEACH?!?
If it ain’t a crinkle cut, It ain’t a French fry. 😂
And they taste awful. I tried frozen ones years ago, and was not impressed with the results.
Would have been a great video but stopped watching after the boom, boom beat gave me a headache.
Let's not forget the oil that kills us.
