I may be old, but listening to Xavier is like remembering the best big wave I have ever surfed, and that was one incredible wave!
I can't even get a dijeridoo to make a sound, much less play the drums, chimes and sing at same times...this dude is nutts..and one of the worlds greatest lyricists!!
About the dislikes - some people think that Xavier is capitalising on the aboriginal culture by using didjeridu and sounds of the australian bush. What they don't realise is his dedication to the preservation of aboriginal cultures, customs and their land rights in australia. it's a fair argument, thankfully nowhere near the truth. such a warrior, Long live xavier

So amazing. Check out he crowd when he begins and then the next glimps of the crowd at 3:20. I'LL never forget the first time I saw him at the mountain games in Vail. Started out super chill and just as I was thinking "This is a bit to mellow right now, he let it drop, and just jammed the fuck out for hours. Open venue, fresh air, great vibes...PERFECT musician

I caught XavierRudd in Asheville the 21st of Oct ---looks like Denver may have had a similar experience ---similar, but not the same. Ours was ours to hold ever close. So amazing. And, I mean "amazing" in the real sense of the word --eschewing the slang.

I seriously considered purchasing a didgeridoo while dabbed at a craft fair. That would have been a poor investment, for me.
Make your own. If you're in Australia you can make one at the Woodford Folk Festival, an annual event between Christmas and New Year :)
