Updates on the construction of the Jurong Region Line (JRL) in Singapore filmed in October 2023. Boon Lay MRT, Jurong East MRT and Choa Chu Kang MRT station are featured in this video.
What a marvellous job at taking, editing and presenting the footage! Most of the time I am rushing to connect my train at JE MRT station to get to Bt Batok MRT station and I have no clue at the development that is progressing outside and around the vicinity. Really appreciate the time and effort put into creating this video. 👍👍👍
Thank you for your compliment! I enjoyed producing this JRL update! It was an eye opening experience for me, I stay in the east and I went to the west to physically see the JRL progress.
The first MRT Line to be fully ‘aboveground’ due to the fact that this line was supposed to be a LRT Line and also now underground stations seems to be the standard for our rail network. Excited to ride the JRL when it’s ready, probably might operate simliar to the SKPGLRT since it’s driverless
Thank you very much! My next video will be on JRL and it will include Choa Chu Kang, NTU, Tengah, Jurong West, Jurong East and Jurong Town Hall area too.
@@prismgamingcool NSL was finished before EWL and built around the same time. If you're not alive to witness EWL being built then you will have never seen the tracks being built aboveground unless you're at Tuas.
Hi Uncle Yap next few videos can do the footage of the JRL going thru the forest at junction of CCK Ave 3 and Brickland Rd, cutting thru old Jln Lam San, and also the other side at Tengah new town along Bukit Batok Rd and near Bbatok West Ave 5
I must say Jurong (west & east) looks like one big construction field, can anyone tell when will it be ended" I feel sorry for those who live in that region.
I think both J151 and R151 are beautiful trains. I have took the R151 a few times and it was really awesome! I think J151 will be as good as R151 or even better

Nice updates! So excited for the JRL to be ready!
Thank you very much! I stay in the east but I am excited for residents in the west, hope JRL will be ready soon!
Can't wait to try this new MRT once completed! How exciting! ❤❤❤
Greetings from JB, Malaysia
Thank you for the greetings from JB! I just cross over to JB over the weekend to film the RTS progress
Well done. Informative and had a 'helicopter' view of the construction. Thanks. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much! My next video will be on JRL and it will include Choa Chu Kang, NTU, Tengah, Jurong West, Jurong East and Jurong Town Hall area too.
I'm just realising I've never witnessed the tracks being built in person since everything beyond EWL is underground apart from the Tuas extension
NSL is also above ground at some parts

Nice video. Thanks for the update
Thank you for your compliment! I enjoyed producing this JRL update
awesome footage bro! love the quality of the editing and footage.
Much appreciated! Glad you enjoyed it! I try to push myself to produce quality contents for each new upload
Fun fact: The viaducts at gek poh going towards Peng Kang hill had a school be demolished in order to do construction
That was really a fun fact! I didn't know about it. Thank you for sharing!
Interesting! All coming together well🎉❤
Yes indeed! JRL progress looks good!
It seems different from the other MRT lines since is now above ground, can’t wait for it to be completed
Yes correct! JRL is the first MRT line to be fully above ground in sg.
Cant wait for it to be completed

I am planning another JRL update in Jan 2024. This new update I plan to include more coverage like Tengah, Bukit Batok and also NTU.

Just like the residents staying at Woodlands or Upper Thomson area and having to deal with the construction noises when TEL is being built

J151 vs R151 who do you think is better
I think both J151 and R151 are beautiful trains. I have took the R151 a few times and it was really awesome! I think J151 will be as good as R151 or even better
Ok
Did not touch the Bukit Batok site ?😮
I am planning another JRL update in Jan 2024. This new update I plan to include more areas like Tengah, Bukit Batok and also NTU.

why they never build underground...
JRL is the first MRT line in Singapore to be built fully above ground. Terrain and cost likely the key reasons for the JRL to be above ground.
I think it is underground 🚇
Malaysia "LRT" standard
First 😆😊🎉
Yes you are indeed the First!!!
East sider will never have something so good. 😏
East sider has EWL, DTL and TEL leh
LOL JRL
But i heard that there is a JEL also
