Soft Plastic rigging for Murray Cod

- This is how I like to rig my soft plastics when fishing for Murray Cod, in particular the Daiwa Duckfin Shad.
Obviously it's not the only way and there's most likely better way's out there but this is how I like to do and have plenty of runs on the board with this exact technique. Hope this helps a few of you guys out & you go out and smash some goodoo on them.

Fantastic Vid! Thanks for sharing. Heading back home to Orange to chase some big cod around Christmas with Cousins and Uncle at the local dams. I am used to salt water fishing now - so these jig spin arms, colorado blades and chatterblades are all very new to me. Where do you get them from? Do you have a preferred on line supplier that is a go to? Keen to buy a crimper and some crimps and give this a ago - and switch it up with my jackall Gantarels I have coming :-) Thanks in advance :-)

hey mate, cheers for that. I buy the blades separate and attach them straight to the jighead. (open the eyelet)

How do you go in rivers with lots of snags with this rig? Just curious as I'm mainly a western river fisher and hunt the trees and snags.
I don't use them in the rivers mate, would definitely be an issue running the treble. I use them in impoundments in areas where there is little timber so snags aren't such a risk. I'd be sticking to the traditional way and running the single stinger hook on top off the main hook. Cheers

They’re daiwa duckfin Shad’s mate. Unfortunately they don’t make them anymore so very hard to track down
I just found a pack at home I forgot I had.. 15cm in length 🤙🏼🤙🏼 what size jig head for him mate ?? 8/0 or 7/0??

A " line through" on a swimbait is a much easier rig than that and you can still run swimbait on the surface or down deep. Sorry bug not a fun of that rig.
I would never fish that rig at Copeton or Bundarra. You will snag-up.
