Some one got back on the ramshackle glory Facebook to remind everyone how important it was to help get shit done back in May, seems like a healthier way to respect his music than the way some ppl (friend, I have been there) idealize him as a person and try to make him into a hero.

I like to think that this song is about that one friend. We all have them.
They'd do basically anything for us, the small things to the big things. It's always great to hangout with them, you make memories and have a good time. You wish you could do this all the time, but time just gets in the way, and those precious memories with them become even more special.
Then you thank them for those evenings, those rides home, those diner adventures at 6AM every Wednesday night and them for letting you use their Netflix password.

The song is about relearning how to live after getting sober. He’s said before that this song is about “feeling crazy because you live a less dysfunctional life than you used to.” He said he’d spend some days just watching netflix and the song is about those mundane kind of things that are normal to most people but weren’t normal to him at the time.

Well I song (to me at least) is about making a genuine and fulfilling life, not a braindead one. Netflix is another way to stay removed from life, so he's writing the song to tell his account all the things he thinks he should be doing instead of watching TV
