and you know what is really cool ????? this artificial larynx gives you the ability to sing as well :D the other artificial speech aids like the servox, solotone, romet, and cooper rand do not give you the ability to do that because they all sound robotic but this one the tru tone gives you the ability to express yourself sing and then some :D just because you lost your voice does not mean in any way shape or form that you will never ever be able to speak again if you lost your voice from cancer please have a s.l.p wich means speech language pathologist help you order a tru tone!!!!! i am not a laryngectomee but i do know what i am talking about :D

I remember seeing this video when i was like 9 years old randomly Google searching for stuff because I'd just started my fascination with "simulated" speech of all kinds.
To me, his voice has sort of an "LPC Encoding" sort of sound. This is the tech that was used in the Speak and Spell to resynthesize speech from data that took up very little memory. So to me, that's a VERY good thing, because it was clear that the voice in the Speak and Spell was taken from recordings of a human being, and only sounded the way it did because of technological constraints. Tony sounds like a real human being, albeit one with a small amount of artifacted "buzz". Props to Griffin Labs for creating this device! You've made something that brings the "humanity" back into alyringeal speech.

To anyone new and looking to decide which device to select I would not go with this I prefer the more convenient and practical implants voice protheses by Inheath technologies for the following reasons 1. It’s more natural with air coming out your mouth not an echo with a buzz in the background (they all buzz I think this vid is altered to sell the device) 2. The most important is it is cleaner both in catching any drool ( a major problem) or breathing in ( housing with removable filtered button will warm ,filter and moisturizes the air) 3.provides protection from any object that may get in the opening 3. Is always with you as opposed to grabbing a device in your pocket or you left in the car.
Yes it has a few negatives like cleaning if it gets plugged overnight and costs depending on your insurance (housing last me almost a week and implant needs replaced recommended every 6 months but I go 1 year with Medicare I think my costs are only few dollars a week ) one last note..they do have a hands free insert which is nice if you want to talk without touching you throat however it has to be adjusted with you breathing requirements like climbing stairs or even walking also your breathing is more noticeable in a quiet room if the adjustment is not set right. Hope this helps.

This is the sample of the Bode Vocoder, it sounds relatively close to the Moog Vocoder,
Here’s what it sounds like when we change the keys, creating all sorts of melodies.
I change the pitch from high to low, so everybody can enjoy the show.
This is a vintage analog machine, it sounds impressive and very clean.
No Vocoder comes even close, as for sound clarity Bode is the most.
Analog Vocoders are the best in sound, compared to virtual they’re number one hands down.
All I need is percussion and bass, then mix it down with the interface.
If you decide to finish the mix, make sure to use Vocoder tricks.
