The window family is usually wall host based and can only be hosted by 1 wall. You could make it face based and apply it to just the arch or structure part of the wall.

I don't believe so. Try to ensure the void isn't touching the opening. You can also try to create the family without the opening and just use voids to cut the wall host too.

I am really wondering, since your family works like a charm, when all my tries related to voids in window families are not working with openings.
I would need to see your window family to see what went wrong. Did you make sure that you placed a checkmark in "Cut with void when loaded" in the family category and parameter window? Usually, people forget about this checkmark and it fails...let me know.

@@piotrbukowski5435 So I tried to rebuild the window from scratch step by step in 2019, 2020 and 2021 and they all state the same error "Cannot have void and Cut opening in same family." Very weird. I took my 2019 window family that is working properly and upgraded it to 2020 and then loaded into a new Revit 2020 project and it works just fine. If you allow me to upload my file to your shared Google drive, then you can have it. Otherwise, I can send it to you via your email address...what is your email address?
