The Bell Carousel giving the O'Rangers the Savage Speeders treatment
With less points to play with. This is not looking good
As is only fair. The O'Rangers may have won this battle but they can never be too far after the Speeders

40 minutes in: Mandarin is hit by the bell carousel for the 1000th time! That gives Aryp the chance to gain advantage but he is hit by the bell carousel! Oh my god, that is one of, if not the most intence race in this entire event! And Mandarin is hit again!

The oceanics and purple rockets are doing really well to have made it this far
Indeed, they're also my 2 remaining favorites in the race, i've lost 5 other favorites so far, i really hope that at least 1 favorite makes it to the finals.
I find it fascinating that 4 of the 10 made the exact score today.
It was overall a very consistent finish between yesterday and today!
I suspect that this is statistically more common as the number of competitors gets smaller
Or it's a strategy, and not a very good one if you're O'Rangers
Would you consider raising the camera behind the finish line this week? The finish sign blocks the gap where the bell carousel is doing its damage. It would be great to see that part of the course.

if I had a nickel for every time greg woods called the purple rockets "solar flares" in the last two days, I'd have two nickels. which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice
I was looking for this comment, indeed, Purple Rockets is one of my favorites, and so is Solar Flares, so i noticed it as well.
And the Limers and O'Rangers' logos were switched up.
There was another mistake in the editing of the last race on Sunday.
But yeah, they've been basically faultless for 75 races/days in a row, better to make the mistakes now than to have them during the finals.
@@Games_and_Music greg also confused the jumpers with momo a while back so this isn't the first.

Magic number to qualify is 70, Primary, Rockets, and the Racers all looking good after two races.
According to my clumsy calculations, it might be 47. How should each marble score so that the marble who scores 69 will be eliminated?
@@project9017 each day it goes down as fewer points become available. There's no way anyone could qualify today since they'd need 70 points to qualify for the next round (total based on maximum number of point left, plus the total of the second lowest point haul so far, plus one). So, (13*5)+4+1, gives us our total of 70, which would be insurmountable for the second lowest placed team to overcome. Now, it's likely a total of 48 points would eventually be enough to qualify on days 5 or 6, just not good enough today.
70 might be the magic number for this week's podium.

Huge points spread so far this week with the same three marbles on the podium twice in a row! This is the opposite of last week when the top finishers from round 1 bombed in round two, keeping the point spread really tight.

Well, two top 3 finishes in two races. Keep it up Rezzy, you'll be guaranteed to advance in no time! Apparently you've decided to go for it now, and I have no complaints, but I hope you reserve some energy for the last few races. Also, well done on that comeback after the snapper. I got worried for a second, but managing to get to third after that is amazing. Also, I love that the top 5 in the last race were the top 5 again. The odds of that must be astronomical, even with only 10 marbles left.
And a reminder to everyone, this is the last event to have the 7 race format (per the community page). That means the last stretch will be in a different format. It'll be interesting to see how the survivors adapt after 12 weeks of racing every single day.
Also, surely the O'rangers are eliminated this week. They've been scraping by for the whole tournament, and have even been in the bottom two for long stretches. Their luck has to run out sometime. I don't buy the favoritism or too popular claims. If that were the case, Savage Speeders would still be in. Crazy Cat's Eyes would still be in. Rojo Rollers would still be in, the Green Ducks as well. And so on. The fact is, most of the biggest and most popular teams have already been eliminated. O'rangers still being in is pure luck. But I suppose fans have to have their conspiracies...
As a fan of the O'rangers myself, I’ve wanted Mandarin to be eliminated from the tournament for the past four weeks and yet he barely scraped by EVERY TIME. That’s not a good strategy especially when good finishes mean so much more with a smaller field.
This tournament has really taken its toll on Mandy, and quite frankly, I’m not even going to be sad when he gets eliminated. I’m going to be relieved.
And yet, I am INCREDIBLY proud of Mandarin for making it as far as he did. I never would have thought he would be in the top 10 of this tournament. And they managed to outdo the Speeders as well.
@@WillMellquist I don't think anyone expected it, to be honest, but he does deserve some praise for making it to the top 10, even if he hasn't been great. It's a hell of an achievement.
This is the week that the O'Rangers are eliminated. Calling it now. That bell carousel at the end is the death knell for Mandarin, apparently.

Clever move by Sea to hold back and let the other marbles trigger the sweepers. Really thought that'd get us a podium finish, but another four spot isn't too bad for now.
rezzy’s real strategy is finally becoming clear. hanging back to let the others take the brunt of the traps to find a clean line forward. whether they’re finally getting the hang of it or they’ve been saving it as an ace up their sleeve, it seems to be working!

Shock did so good the last 2 weeks. Still 5 races to go at least this week.

While it's not looking great for Shock at the moment, tomorrow is Wednesday. And after checking the results for any signs of hope (mostly via desperation if I'm honest), Shock has finished in 2nd place the past 3 Wednesdays! Now hopefully me bringing this up doesn't jinx anything, as I more so wanted to try and give some potential hope for a realistic turnaround. :)

O'rangers don't stand a chance this week. They are too light and get knocked around too much. This track is pure grit and they can't compete. Two chances at 5th place+; two ninth place finishes. This week a miracle is truly needed.
Wonder how many races will need to be re-recorded to ensure O'rangers are still in the races next week? Stay tuned to watch them squeak through come race 7 of this week.

Crazy how it’s the same 3 medalists as yesterday
It was completely expected to hear (2:05) "the O'rangers have one hit, there's two, three, four" , lol. Mandarin seems to hit every obstacle in every race, the difference is that the field is smaller so it stands out more. The O'rangers are looking more like the NO'rangers lately.
A lot of NO'ranger fans have been predicting this as the end of the line for them and it sure looks like it may happen. I'm still hanging on to hope and rooting for Mandarin, but the orange looks like toast. 🟠 🍞
It really sucked to see my 🍊 boys doing so well navigating the course and then that Bell Carousel wreak havoc on them. 😡

Hopefully not, but they seem to have been headed into that direction lately. A lot of us O'ranger/Mandarin fans have been noticing the apparent infatuation with the obstacles, lol.

Today's podium had the exact same marbles as yesterday's podium, just with the order switched around! Looks like this course has some clear favourites already... And Mandarin isn't one of them.
I noticed that too! Very weird, but cool!
Oceanics and limers also got 4th and 5th respectively again, meaning that the top 5 from last race also all got top 5 this race!
I’ve had enough as an O’rangers fan. This whole event has been the worst performance ever. I’m not even happy we’re still alive, we’re constantly at the bottom of the standings. I don’t understand how it’s even possible to be this consistently bad without being eliminated
My Hubby is a long time O’rangers fan and I thought he was going to totally lose his cool when that carousel incident happened
