  • In this video Simone reviews the 2020 Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid which has had a smallish update from last years model. But along with the IONIQ’s Hybrid and EV variants, it still represents a very comprehensive electrified offer on the market for a price that makes each respective version a viable offer in their segment.
The IONIQ PHEV comes with a 1.6 L petrol and an electric motor for the combined output of 104 kW and 265 Nm. The battery can give about 60 km of EV-only range, officially.
The Hyundai Ioniq 2020 model gets better interior tech. The screen is 10.25” in high resolution and with a great interface. This version of the IONIQ starts from just under $42k, which is still higher than a non-hybrid car of this class. However, it does offer a lot and is cheaper than its pure EV counterparts.

Sign of a good woman. The chopping board holder. Always thinking of the kitchen when not in the kitchen.

I laughed way too hard when Simone said you can fit a chopping board in that weird space.

I think this plug in hybrid cars are good start for the mainstream into the ev world. Tesla still an expensive option.

Simone. As usual, a good video this time on the Hyundai Ionic, but could CarTellTV please do one video without saying "drivers want sporty", this notion applies to a limited demographic?

Your right. People wan't unresponsive, gutless, sloppy handling cars. You should get a job in marketing.
A 'Driver' want's sporty as opposed to a 'Motorist' who just wants to get from A to B and should probably be on a bus...

1:40 The only car that takes CHAdeMO is Nissan Leaf (also Kia soul EV) Not an PHEV like the IONIQ that only can utilize Type-2 ;)

Nice review, as always, but not a car I'd buy. Love the long hair and the glasses, by the way.
