Good playing with you! That wind was brutal last round…You definitely need to hit Tulsa up or Buffalo Run in McAlester for legit course.

Holy smokes if -1 at that course is 980 that wind must've been BRUTAL

love those recaps Nate, playing the training round and then see how the competitive round went. Can't wait to see a round with better or at least the same conditions. Nice job though, there were som nasty ones out there

This is an excellent format - covering the practice and the tournament - lets us know what you planned and what you did. Thanks!

In all fairness, you did play in Checotah. Def not the area I would play to get a good feel for Oklahoma DG. Tulsa needs to on your target area if you want to see some better courses.

I feel you. Played in winds gusting over 50mph in New Mexico last weekend. I quit after the 1st round to caddy for my son. You had to drop the disc in the basket and it still wanted to blow away. I saw discs blown out the basket as well. Top score for MA1 at 2 rounds was +10

Definitely come to Tulsa to play some good Oklahoma courses. I promise they're not all hyzer olympics. 😂

I live in Oklahoma and have had a few pyro/firebird only rounds in the last few weeks due to the wind.

I feel like I was walking to a store in the same wind you played in but different states lol. Could barely walk a straight line, imagine being a 175g.

Good on you for getting your A2 back, after all it’s been through. How long did it take on the second attempt?

How do you spell Tournament? It looks like T-O-U-R-N-A-M-A-E-N-T. 🤨 I feel ya' though, playing in the wind is terrible. I played my first tournament ever a few weeks back and the wind was 16-32 mph w/gusts up to 40mph. I was in first place from holes 2-14, until I took an 8 on a par 3 island hole and ended up in 4th. 😭 4th place sounds great, you say? Did I mention there were only 5 guys playing? 💩Thanks for sharing your disc golf fun... errr, experience anyway.

That course is so boring looking I'm expecting to see it on the DGPT next year.
