CZcams recommended your channel a week ago and watch it daily since then. Love it! I'm a Japanese translator who have worked for both Japanese and American companies and lived in the States. Very interesting perspectives! Americans are friendly in general but I often wondered what they really think deep down☺️

I’m Japanese and live in Canada now to study English and another cultures. Your stories are very interesting!!! I’m studying about differences between high-context culture and low-context culture. Especially, how to learn something. In the text book, low-context culture people learn from asking, however, another culture do from mastering like exams. What do you think? I want you guys to talk about that someday. If this is not enough information, I’m sorry😂 Thank you!!

“In the US, they try not to seem fake, but they are fake, so America is more fake than Japan.” 🤣

I love your talks!! Thank you!! Private you is your original, isn’t it? If you allow public you to behave in a way you don’t like, you are unhappy. Although we do not need to pretend to be successful in integrating two versions of you, trying to integrate is good, imo.

Private opinion vs Public stance is universal. It can be seen all over the world to some extent. I can tell this from my own experiences and by watching my favorite American cartoon "Family guy ".😂😂😂

I disagree that Japanese people are robots. Anyway, of course, individuals have many aspects to themselves.
It does not matter where you are from.
For example, a mom may act differently with her kids than in her office.
She may have a different demeanor with her husband or a boyfriend.
In my opinion, it's just that Japanese people are accepting of different versions of individuals, probably due to their homogeneous society.
People can anticipate how you might behave and are rarely surprised by your actions.
However, there's one exception when it comes to Japanese female "idols". People often confuse their private and public personas.
On the other hand, the US is too diverse, with many races, religions, and heritages.
You can't always predict how people will behave.
So, people appreciate it if you are authentic from private to public.
After all, you don't want to get close to a criminal, or someone who might back stab you.
I guess it's not so much about disagreement, but a few thoughts came to my mind.

Leviticus 19:33-34 34 The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
Is this American virtue? When I visited the US, they were nice to me.

I have to say the fact American whole milk is soooooo good!😂
I’m Japanese and currently I’m living in US.
    It’s true 2% milk is… you know?
However whole milk is really tasty.
I think it more delicious than the milk made in Japan.
