Thank you so much for the shout out my friend! I’m really grateful! I like your Queen Knife! I’m really glad showcased the quality, and made comparisons to more expensive knives! This was great, thank you so much!
Queen were a big US manufacturer, but as you say they closed down a few years back. Their old production manager founded GEC, and perhaps losing him hastened their decline. The name Queen was bought, and they are now made in China, by probably the same company as RR. They seem to be pretty good, though perhaps not quite up to the older Queen quality. The bone is cow bone, usually shin bone.
The case knife is a gunstock pattern that Case does really well, is why people buy it. That and it's made in the US of A. Case's quality has been improving, but it's been slow going.
I have two of these. On both of them, the nail nick is too low making it very difficult to open without using some kind of tool. Disappointing. Rather nice, if you can get it open.
It's basically a Rough Rider...same quality. ..I bought one...major gaps, pen blade blocks the clip point making it hard to open. Some of the dye came out of the bone when I cleaned the knife using Barricade so it's not actually dyed, its just an applied finish. Typical Chinese quality made to look good at a distance or in photographs. It's ok as a general use tool but that's all.

Jason is awesome, I am so glad I can call him a friend!
Nice barlow, you make good points about Queen.

You persuaded me to buy it 🤣🤣🤣
I have that Barlow, it's a wee belter, I also have the canoe & the stockman, very nice wee items
The Barlow is a fine knife for twenty pounds , I would choose the Queen knife over the more expensive Case in this instance .
I don't trust friendly people.
