I used to buy a few RRs as space holders in my collection for patterns I don’t have, but I soon learned that they actually make very good knives, in a very similar way to Case or GEC. I.e. water/laser cut, CNC ground, machine riveted, and hand-finished, so I like to call them Great Far Eastern Cutlery … GFEC!
I happily use £200+ knives, but I don’t turn my nose up at £10 either.

They are variable in quality - I have had pleasant surprises and disappointments. The same, however, can be said of Case.

I hope you do more old tool restorations!
    Love old tools!
And are you on any of the knife forums?
I keep seeing the leather-man Bond getting hate as it’s not legal to carry?
As the blade isn’t “readily foldable” as the law states, as you need to move one the handles out the way to close the blade.
What are your thoughts on this?
I’m not sure what to make if that, could it still be readily foldable as it then also doesn’t lock, it just doesn’t fold all the way.
Not sure if the law defines what readily foldable means, if it mean being able to fold all the way?
Then people are saying try that in a court and see what they say, a lot of strawmans.

Glad you like the old tools, anything you like in particular?
I'm not on any forms, I've got an Instagram under the same name, but do use it much, likewise with Facebook under the same name.
Aye, I've seen people talking about the Leatherman Bond, my view is it's a load of shite! The Bond was designed to be legally carrrierd, and the only other plier based multi tool is the Leatherman juice, but since they have been discontinued, the price has gone up if you can even find one, it's basically a collectors item now. My opinion is, carry it, it's a tool, not a weapon, and as I've said so many times, we are trying to reason with unreasonable people, they will do what they want ether way. Imo they will make it illegal to carry ANY knife unless its for work, even a SAK, I've done a video on that some time ago.
I'd argue it is readily foldable, there's no lock, switch, button, liner or anything of the sort, yes the handle needs to be opened to put it fully away, but that's not a lock, it's for storage, and if the Bond (or indeed any leatherman) is a weapon, the my tool box is an army. And if the Bond is now a lock knife, what about the Böker plus XS? Spyderco Ukpk? As they have a half stop, which makes it hard to close, and the finger choil especially, I'm almost certain that they will not lock if thrusted if you know what I mean, I should maybe test that on a bit wood.

      @@scotsman7626 Thanks man!
And sorry for the delay had a few issues pop up and got distracted!
I’m not sure what to do, I would like a Leatherman to EDC, but don’t know wether to get a non locking or bladeless model. (Or even do the mod.)
I have been even looking at cheap copies of Leatherman’s there is a few on Amazon some coke with spare bits.
And I love all old tools, but my favourite is the Yankee Screwdriver that is such a handy and cool tool.
On your video on the RIF, what are all the retailers that accept the Cosplay as a defence to buy one?
And can you use it on the back garden?
And would airsoft sites accept my cosplay ticket?
Also how good does your costume have to be,
Could it be something anyone could think of, or invent, or what if your building or waiting on a costume coming in and your wanting the insurance before you go out?
(Not to keen on showing my face on these things too.)
Suppose I could look for comments on that video and ask others too.
Thanks again man and sorry for the delay and page of questions!

I tend to joke on the forums that rough ryder knives are cheaper because you have to do the last 5% of the hand finish. You typically have a really nice knife after you spend 5 too 10 minutes wiping out the metal dust and polishing compound then giving the tge outside of the knife a quick polishing to bring out the full luster. In the end you get a really great knife with only a little bit of finishing needed for a not a lot of money.
