Hi friends! I'm Jennifer, a forty-something wife and mother of 7 children ages 9 - 25. We are Catholic. We homeschool. We cook from scratch. We farm cranberries. We drink coffee. We advocate for Down syndrome awareness. We are loud. We are chaotic.
Here I'll share vlogs about all these things, what I'm doing that works and what I've tried but didn't work. I hope to encourage you in your journey through motherhood, homeschooling, learning to cook, and growing in your faith through it all.

Everything looked amazing, you worked hard! What a nice gesture to host your Priest your home. You are such a light, Jennifer. â€ïž
How nice that you got to have your priest over for supper, he sounds like a fun dinner guest too. You have a good, patient way of teaching your kids in the kitchen and it is nice that you share that with us. Your pies came out scrumptious looking!
Peter is going to be a great cook!
Your food looks great & your floors are shiny! I love all the wood in your house, I grew up with an all wood finished house, my dad was a carpenter. đđâ„ïžđ Beautiful family, God's blessings!
Oven fried chicken and pie, does life get any more comfy than that?! Your floors looked so nice!đđ„§
Your cranberry walnut pie looks scrumptious đ ( Iâve never tasted one before ). I appreciate the way you show & explain your recipes step by stepâŠ.it makes it easy to follow & learn from đ
That recipe is amazing. It's been my birthday cake 3 years running now. It's hands down my favorite nut pie ever. Give it a go!
Peter seems to really enjoy cooking with you. Maria too.
Hello Jennifer and sweet family! The pies look delicious and Peter was a big help. Maria is so sweet and always willing to help. Joe is learning to play the piano and getting good. The floors look beautiful, I will have to look for that brand. I have hardwood and tile floors. Itâs a compliment when the pastor says there is not enough, that was nice. The chicken did look delicious. Have a blessed night sweet family!
What a blessing to have a Priest for dinner. I hope you had a wonderful time together, your meal and pies look yummy. Your floors looked nice, you sure had a busy day, take care relax and enjoy some reading, God bless
Thanks so much; it always takes a dinner guest to really get the house in tip top shape.
When you all were saying "yellow" (instead of hello), it reminded me of calling my parents and my little brother would answer the phone with "Yellow" and I would answer him with "Purple" and we would both laugh. Memories âș
Oh, that's too cute.
That is so nice that you had your priest over for dinner. Everything looked delicious!
My daughter and I read Anne of Green Gables and watched the series on PBS. She is forty five but they are still fond memories for us.
I love watching your Chanel. Watching how good the kids work with you. Reminds me of being at my grandmas place and going to the farm.
I know your priest enjoyed your delicious meal and company. Thatâs so neat that he can relate to growing up in a large family. It was very nice of you to have him over. As I say, Iâm sure he really appreciated it and enjoyed himself. For myself, I know it would be a real treat to be around a family for a meal and visit. Especially a meal as good as yours!
Your floors look so beautiful! So, that finish wears off ? Is it slippery? Meaning, if you have socks in. I have to be careful of slipping. Gosh, thatâs great stuff!
Thanks for sharing your day. You can do more in a day than I can in a week!
I would not say it's slippery and it does wear off after about 6 weeks of hard use. We sweep, mop, and vacuum a lot, which I'm sure speeds up the wearing of the floors.
Both pies looked amazing! I have frozen cranberries I may try that cranberry nut pie with them. We had our Priest over back in January for the yearly house blessing and itâs always fun to sit around listening to his stories as well.
I LOVE that you had your priest over. Please pray from me that I'm able to have our priest over soon. I have terrible anxiety and having him over isn't something I'm able to do yet. Maria is a beauty! She has grown up so much. Of course, Peter is such a nice young man to help you. Joe makes me smile. My 12 year old daughter and I love Anne of Green Gables. Such a sweet story that I'm happy I could share with her. God bless!
Mini spatulas are the best and so handy. After getting my first one the next time i saw them at Aldi, I had to pick up a couple more. I use mine ALL the time.
Pies look so good. I love Maria helping in the kitchen, she gets pushed aside at times. How exciting your parish priest coming to dinner. Iâd be so nervous but also honored. Hope it went perfect.
I have to roll up my sleeves. Always a problem!! Love your tutorial!! You're A great teacher!
Good to see everyone and lots of smiles too God bless everyone
I really want to try the cranberry nut pie. However, around here in the south, I only see cranberries around Thanksgiving. I happen to be re-reading Anne of Green Gables in the past few days.
Next year, stock up on cranberries and freeze them. I do when I find a deal and then have them throughout the year.
Hi Jennifer! Your dinner for your priest looked so good. I will try baking chicken the way you did with the butter! Your family is such a joy to watch. Thank you for letting us into your home. Have a great week!
âNothing is really lost until mom canât find it!â LOL loved this video. Pies look great!
so true
Oh sweet Jennifer! You look gorgeous today! As always itâs great to see your kitchen helpers too! Love and prayers from Melody in Texas â€ïžđđ»
When my daughter had foot surgery, years ago, we read the whole Anne of Green Gables series. They were good.
Iâm loving it, as is Maria.
I used to love when our Priest came for dinner!
Your pies look wonderful hope your meal was wonderful with your priest. God bless your family.
My family absolutely love your pie crust recipe and the oven fried chicken. Thank you for sharing.

Welcome M-Momma; I'm so glad to have you here.
I'm going to have to try that cranberry pie! Everything looked yummy. I just found your channel recently. We are Catholic also and live not too far from you so I am enjoying your videos!

I really enjoy you cooking and your family. The children gets so involved. You are a wonderful mother and explain the cooking process to them as well as always have a smile on your face. Thank you, Jennifer.
I love my baby spatula! It's so handy, I use it everyday for something :-)
I use my mini spatula all the time too! Love it!
Hi Jennifer. Idk if it was just me but it seemed like you were a bit down when making the pies and potatoes but your kids (especially Peter) were eager to help you out. I think thatâs so sweet
Just yearning for sunny days. We had a very long gloomy January.
There are 6 books in Anne of green gables books plus another 3 about her children
Best cooking tip ever - never wear a black turtleneck sweater from Walmart when making pie! đ
I appreciate and enjoy your channel. Iâm inspired by your pie crust as Iâm hoping this will be the one I can actually have success! Fingers crossed! Thank you for sharing!
I love making pies. For cleaning, I love using Murphy oil soap. It makes everything, especially wood and other surfaces look like new. Thanks for sharing đđ±đâđ
Murphy's for the cupboard doors is a must.
Jennifer so delighted to order your cookbooks today, love the looks on cranberry pie!
Yay! Thank you! Hope you enjoy them.
I use my little spatulas all the time.
We absolutely love your pie crust recipe. We used it for all of our holiday baking this year. Your pies always come out so beautifully!
Joeâs tie while he played the piano is too cute. My son is 4.5 and heâs really coming to enjoy being in the kitchen helping out. Itâs just such a joy to have your children in the kitchen with you and teaching them to be capable children. We love our mini spatulas itâs actually come in handy many times! That floor shine did so well on your tile!
I'm so glad you like the pie crust recipe and way to go getting your son in the kitchen with you. It's work, for sure, but once they know things they're real help.
Iâm with Maria I canât stand pine sol . Yummy pies and dinner looks delicious ! Thank you ! âšđâš
Hi Jennifer⊠it seems itâs been so long. The pie crusts were beautiful. The pies look delicious. The chicken looks amazing and Iâm adding that to my list! Iâm also going to try the beautiful crusts. I have both of your cookbooks and love both of them so much!!
Thank you! đ€
You look so pretty today Jenniferđž
We always make cinnamon sugar pieces from the leftover crust
I just looked it up for you and they saw it on Amazon
I have a crock pot but I only use it when the kids are coming home. I donât need an instant pot.
The little tootsie marksâ„ïžđ€Ł
If you like reading Anne of Green Gables, I would suggest looking into watching the television series Road to Avonlea. As the name suggests, it takes place in Avonlea as did Anne of Green Gables. It's an excellent series and it's appropriate for all ages.
You can also use on laminate counter tops. I saw it on you tube. I tried it. It looked great. I need to do my other counter tops.
Great idea!
The chicken and the cranberry pie looked delicious. I am going to try doing the chicken recipe.bbI am not a fan of pumpkin pie, but always use the Libby recipe when I make it as my mother did.
The dollar tree have those little spatulars 2/1.25...they come in handy for all sort of things i use them a lot and the quality is great
Hi Jennifer. The pies looked yummy-especially the cranberry walnut pie. I am going to try your oven fried chicken recipe and I hope it turns out OK as I only use skinless boneless chicken breasts. Have a blessed day.
Your chicken might not need to go as long since itâs boneless. Watch the internal temp.
Food looked amazing!!!
Everything looked amazing!đâ€ïžđ„°đ

If you have netflix the series of Anne..is really good.
I agree with you Jennifer....no pumpkin pie recipe better than libbys!! From Montgomery al â€ïž đ
Your hands are so pretty.
I have sound
I looked online and it says Pledge floor shine was discontinued Jan 22. The recommended looking for any left in stores that don't have a heavy turnover to find it. There was also some indication that another product was the same..
This new brand worked really well.
I have made your chicken recipe...love it.
Jennifer you and Maria look so beautiful today and Peter is a great job of helping with the pie crust and making your wonderful dinner For the Priest and your beautiful Family I know you will have wonderful dinner Much love â€ïž Cathy đđ»âïžâźïžđżâ€ïžđčđ·đđđđșđđđâ€ïžâđ©č

Just a question we haven't seen your kitty cats for a while hoping all is well đ
Sadly, Sugar died in her sleep and the kittens didnât make it without her. It was a tragic fall for all of us.
Great video
Yum I have to try making chicken like you.
It's so good! Let me know how you like it.
Hi Jennifer. Iâd like to purchase your second cookbook. I have your first and love it. What do I need to do to do that?
Hi Teresa, please go to my website www.acountry-life.com to order. You can pay online or there is an option to send a check. Thank you.
look yummy food
Do yall cook fried pies? It's a staple dessert in the south.
I donât, but I buy them from an Amish bakery at the farm market and they are so good.
â€ïž
I am planning to make a Wisconsin cranberry pie this weekend. Only have pecans, hoping it tastes good. Jennifer have you used other tyoe of nuts? How do you think this will be? Maybe I should go get walnuts!đââïž
Cranberries pair perfectly with pecans. Itâs going to be delicious.
@A Country Life Thank you!
That sounds delicious! I am allergic to walnuts and will be able to enjoy the pie now!
I use the left over crust & make cinnamon pin wheels with it. My grandson't love it. I roll it into a rectangle, spread some soft butter on it then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Roll it up & cut it into slices & bake them. They'll look like a cinnamon roll. They're yummy.
My mom did the same thing, so yummy! đ
Good morning...when you join is their extra videos to watch? Just curious. I love your videos.
Hi Mary, no extra videos yet. It's something I'm thinking through.
