Please check out Heart Of Rome by Elvis. He shows nice vocal range, and it's a different type of song with a little Spanish feel. Fun facts about this rehearsal show. The actual broadcast show was 2 days later. He had a fresh haircut and actually wore a different suit of the same design. In certain pictures, you can only tell the difference because of the placement of the little gold stars all around the suit.

there is not a day that goes by that i don't think of him and all the memories we made in 10 short years, his death knocked the wind out of me i have never been the same since, Elvis was the big brother i never had. He is also my guardian angel. Graceland is my go to place when it get's to hard to live w/o my friend i go there and walk around and remember Elvis and all the beautiful times we had together. He was the only person in my life that understood me and i understood him we cared about each other faults and all. What it comes down to is we both needed a friend and we were that for each other. Awesome reaction. i have spent my entire adult life speaking out to people that try and judge a beautiful soul that is not here to defend himself. as long as i have breath in my lungs no one i mean no one will disrespect him period. He had the ‘black singers’ for the same reasons he had Kathy Westmoreland & Millie Kirkham (who are white) and the Stamps Quartet because he liked the way they sang and he wanted the best. He DIDN’T pick them because of race. He wanted the top “studio quality” musicians and singers to take on tour. He got the best.

@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 Elvis didn’t ‘take so long’. He first started out with two musicians [1954] who were supplied by his first record company (Sun Records) and they worked as a trio. When he began recording for RCA [1956], he did use black studio musicians, prior to being drafted into the army, just as his career took off in 1958. When he finished serving in the army, in 1960, he began an 8 year stint as an actor making movies and had no band members. He worked with whoever the movie studios assigned to his movies. When he did begin touring again, he hired black and white studio and touring musicians/singers. Your opinions are not factually correct.

@@emerald1805 what are the names of the black studio musicians and why did he NOT! have them on stage? the reason he made records prior to the army was to make sure his popularity was not lost. And where were the black actors in his movies? It is well known Elvis only used white musicians, does the name the jordanaires mean anything? The only reason the colonel started using black singers was because music was changing, white artists were using black artists music was changing and there was no way Elvis was going to stay relevant. Songwriters stopped writing songs for Elvis because the colonel wanted 50% right to the song. What does that mean? Same song, same show, night after night. No wonder Elvis turned to more drugs, he knew his career was over. I know more about Elvis than you think.
