This is amazing. Elvis did an updated, live version of this to open his 1968 Comeback Special. He sings live, so it’s more raw and raspy. But this is from King Creole, arguably Elvis’ best movie. It’s definitely worth a watch. His acting is great in it. His early films were all great.
Caruso was the name of a famous opera singer in that day's , so it was meant in an ironic way when Elvis was introduced as Caruso, because his name was Danny in " king creole"

The film is called King Creole - 1958 (his 4th film). He acted in 31 films between 1956 and 1969. King Creole is my favorite. There are a lot of good performances this film. 😊

He started off as a very promising actor and the industry/ his manager just ruined it! They kept putting him those corny comedies....always surrounded by girls of course. The best part about those movies was when he sang! The first few movies he was in before he was drafted into the army.....were really good like this one.... King Creole!
Elvis' s first movies were good.. his manager, horrible man, Parker, when Elvis came home from the service had Elvis contracted to do crap movies. sad...We can't change the past but I think Elvis would have done so much more without Colonel Parker.. who was btw never a Colonel.
