Congratulations to Dr Paul on the success of her book on the Dudleys! I have listened to about half of it now on Audible and I find it engrossing -- so engrossing that I searched for "Edmund Dudley" on youtube and stumbled on this terrific interview, and now I am intrigued by the other videos on this channel. And while the reader in the audiobook is clearly British, I am delighted to see that Dr Paul is a fellow Yank.
Wonderful! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I hope you'll have a look around at the other historian interviews here too, we have around 30 absolutely fascinating and informative interviews with some great historians :-) czcams.com/play/PLupSRT2NxLH4Feik0WgVSP8g_4tweF0x-.html&si=TMbbuDnV1PLOcS5_
I really appreciated this interview - have heard Dr. Paul on several podcasts, and her way of sharing details about the Dudleys just makes me want to learn more. Time to get the 'House of Dudley.' On a side note @donaldgrove2249 , I do believe Dr. Paul is originally from Canada - in interviews she has said 'I am Canadian' 🇨🇦
Thank you. Dudley descendant here. Anne Dudley, daughter of Thomas and Dorothy (Yorke) Dudley born 1612 in England, immigrated to New England. Anne Dudley was the wife of Simon Bradstreet and was the first published woman poet in America.
Really enjoyed this interview....I only knew about John Dudley and Robert Dudley but hearing the full family story was fascinating.....I've also bought the book! Thanks
the book is quite good... the ancestery chart, does need a lot of improving..., it should contain dates & ancestors of the dudleys... etc it could be so much better...
What an odd comment. There is no pink light, for start and, why do you think my background has to be historical? Also, the use of capitals is very rude. Your opinions do not warrant being shouted.
Thank you ladies. Thoroughly enjoyed this 🙏🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
This was a wonderful interview. I wish Dr. Paul would narrate her next book for the audible version. I love listening to her.
Thank you, I’m so glad you enjoyed it and I totally agree that Joanne narrating would be fantastic.

Yes, she is 😀🇨🇦
This provides insight into Tudor thinking and behavior, explaining the relationships each family exploited.
Such a fascinating interview, I've added The House of Dudley to my reading list now
I just ordered this book! Robert Dudley is one of my ancestors (by marriage), so this will be a marvelous read! YAY!
It's looking fabulous and I luv watching you organize your yarn.

the ancestry charts….the bain of an author’s life.
that background with the pink light and dresser is TERRIBLY DISTRACTING
/ very non-historical
