    Hi Mike, great vid, thanks for testing these new products for us, I currently bought the second Legacy sponge, and I'm really satisfied with it, the glue part is kinda meh, but I love that it has two sides, when I'm washing with the single coloured ones I'm always flipping and forgetting which side is dirty, man I love their rinsless also, Rinsless is my primary wash method, I don't do waterless as it induces a hidden fear in me (converting to rinsless was a big step for me, but now I'm not coming back). One thing if the companies mckeys and the rag company are reading this, U guys should be ashamed with your EU distribution, we have here a lot of DIY products wich is a 2 year company, and you,,old-school" ones are almost nonexistent 😒 I personally would like to try their sponges or other products but shipping from USA is a super costly thing. Cheers Mike!

    I switched to Frothe over rinseless as an experiment this winter. Slower wash process but better for more soiled cars. I feel like I'm scratching the paint with the BRS vs. microfibers with Frothe. This seems like an improved version of the original but in terms of scratch resistance I think it comes down to how much soil is on the paint and how soft the paint is.

    • @MikeGDetailing
      @MikeGDetailing  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Frothe does a good job cleaning even if it is a bit messy. I do agree that if the surface is very dirty then a pre-rinse is a good idea before a rinseless.

    Great vid Mike. You actually picked a hard item to review. I mean, after all, it's a sponge. If it does spongy things... Success. I'm not really sure who this is really for. If you already had issues with any other sponge marring paint, chances are you'd have left the rinseless wash "camp" for good, and won't be returning. Maybe the three people who were on the fence could be swayed by the word Safe on the packaging. Or it can just serve to continue the debate on whether rinseless washing is a viable option. Those opposed would just use it as ammo to say: "See, I told you it wasn't safe... Why else would they have to come out with newer safer tools?"

There was a super soft black corvette that had a poor paint job and at the time the big red sponge was the only sponge around and it marred the paint. But that paint marred just looking at it. One of the worst paints I ever worked on.

    Having two cars that have soft paint work, '22 Toyota GR Yaris and a '24 Honda Civic hybrid I think its clear I should get a soft sponge as I'm doing more and more rinseless washing with Absolute. ATM I'm using a Würth 1ltr spray bottle and a lot of microfiber towels, spray wait a minute then using only pressure from the cloth to wipe a long a line across the panel, flip the towel and repeat. I think a bucket wash with a very soft sponge might make it a bit easier. But safety from Marring for me is the most important thing here. I wanna keep Marring at bay.

      @@pigeonpoo1823 Only if its light dust or dirt. The GR only come out for events or a Sunday drive. It's never too dirty to bring out the pressure washer and Bilt Hamber for pre wash. The Civic is more of a daily (even though I'm using a company van) the Civic is used in all weather so for me it all depends on the levels of dirt and what type of dirt it is. P&S Absolute is the real deal for me, I use it all the time, I can go around the car in 20 mins and its clean. Worth a try for light duties 👍
