Not quite that simple , though, is it?

Haha, no, not so easy. But on the upside, I was expecting much worse. Take your time, be super careful, keep the screws organized, and you'd be surprised what you can do!
      ------
Years ago I was given a broken tv, the whole circuit board that powered the LEDs died. The tv seemed dead, but if you held a flashlight up to it, you could see a faint image.
So I bought a new circuit board off of eBay (scavenged from a similar tv). But it didn't work. So I replaced the other two circuit boards as well. Still didn't work. Turns out the eBay seller had not tested the board and sent me a replacement with the exact same problem. So I had to buy a fourth board.
In the end, I probably could have bought a used tv for the same price. I would have given up, but it was my girlfriend's parents that gave me the tv, and I didn't want to admit that I couldn't fix it. It was a can of worms, but I had something to prove 🤣

I have blotches on my 65" Samsung QLED screen across the whole screen which reminds me of my Sony rear projection TV where the light box was letting dust in and wherever dust covered the bulb put a light blue blotch across the screen, but the QLED is NOT a rear projection and there is no light box! I know one thing.. If I'm pulling that big sucker apart, I will be trying to knock the remaining reflectors out to fix them all while I'm there. Or I'll just add glue to each & every diffuser.
I have electronics experience, but I hate pulling modern gear apart. So fragile you're lucky to not damage it more just disassembling it. I repaired thousands of Atari gaming consoles in 82-83, when life as a tech was GREAT!

I successfully repaired the actual problem, but damaged the very corner tip of one of the front panels, ruining the display. Was big & expensive enough to have a try. I'm now convinced that the hardest part of flat screen repairs is reassembly. Which I certainly would not bother attempting again, especially on a cheaper one.
