Hey guys just a tip, reseat your muzzleloader ramrod in the guides when sighting in. Just as you have it when hunting. Studies show it could cause deviations in your groups or different point or impacts on your shots at distance.
He is absolutely right. It changes the natrual frequency of the metal when shot. It can throw some rounds off a foot or it might not affect it. The chance is there so be consistent. Good job
I always do that after noticing some inconsistencies when zeroing my CVA optima and seeing what load/bullet combo it liked. Also, I wonder if they're cleaning the barrel after each shot?

Something my dad originally taught me from many a years growing up camping in cold deer camps like that with no heater. Stop at the local farm store and buy a bale of straw. We used to do this whether tent camping or in the back of a truck. Pull the twine, and break off flakes of the bale, and shake them out across your tent floor or back of the truck - until you have a nice, loose fluffy pile of straw. Wait 10 min for the dust to settle, then throw a sleeping bag down in that, and it will keep you nice and warm all night long - even when its zero out. If your in the back of an open truck (no camper shell), you can take the twine from the bale, and use it to tie off the middle of two old fiberglass tent poles I would keep in the back (run them thru the stake pockets), then throw a tarp over the whole thing and bungee it to the truck bed sides. Extra bonus is pulling a nice sized rock from the edge of the fire ring that's just cooled off enough to keep your hands on without burning for 20 seconds, and roll that into the bottom of your bag.

When hunting in snow I use extra large white disposable painter's coveralls over my insulated gear and add my blaze orange vest on top. The coveralls are really cheap at Walmart and work well.

Love seeing those ringnecks.when I worked on the oil field in ND they were all over.Here in Western NY i have seen maybe 6 ringnecks in the past 15yrs and those were probably farm raised and released

Opening day for muzzleloader here in NYS. Too dang warm today but a snow and cold front are moving in. I just got my muzzleloader stuff ready for the hunt. 8 days left. Perfect timing on the video. Getting me siked up.

Hunting where I mainly hunt, in hardwood forests and on large farm properties, when you bump a deer you only see it for a few seconds before it's out of your life. You then get to take a minute to lament on your mistake and then you move on. Hunting Nebraska when you bump a deer you have to watch it run away for like 5 minutes, making you draw out your sadness for the longest time possible before being able to moving on. Beautiful scenery, tough hunting.

Man after days and days of public mountain hunting and not seeing 1 deer it’s getting hard to get up and keep going especially in the rain. But I’ll be back at it in the am. By now a spikes gonna git it too😂

Quick tip for bore sighting muzzle loader put it in a gun vise or on bags get it level an steady remove breach put a target at 10 yds line up bore with center of target then look through scope without moving gun see where cross hairs are then adjust them to center of target will put first shot on paper then can fine tune
Yeah I always get gas as soon as I get off the highways before I start running around public land haha. Lesson my Father in law taught me.

A cheap way to make your sleeping bag warmer is wrap it with a tarp. It will also add about ten degrees to the temperature rating.

Tip for sleeping in the tent or like Ted. Take old cardboard boxes and lay them on the floor of your tent or on a tarp then cardboard before your sleeping bag.
Unsolicited advice: Lasik eye surgery was the best money I have ever spent for that reason! Happy hunting!

THP needs to invest in a couple of good base camp tents that are big enough for multiple people to sleep in oh, and maybe a couple of cots. It hurts my back just watching the way you guys sleep and camp
