      It matters only because the title of the video makes a false claim that it's the Beatles and some younger people who might click on it would mistakenly think it is.
      It's a bunch of musicians pretending to be The Beatles. There's nothing wrong with that, until it's used as a replacement.

      Dave: It was written by Paul for the Quarrymen as early as 1959. But everytime he tried to play it to John and George they started to laugh at the intro....please lock me away....so instead, Paul kept it to himself and gave it to P&G in 1964. It was a smash that would easily have fitted the Please please me or With the Beatles album in 63.

      @@mystic48209 Hi... I played the part of Ringo on this recording, and this is in fact the 1994 line-up of The Beatnix, of which I was a member from 1989 until 1996. The four of us went on to form The Beatels in 1996 after a disagreement with The Beatnix management. Tony Dean formed The Beatnix in 1980 and was not involved with The Beatels at all. I only stayed with The Beatels for a year and left soon after we toured the East Coast of Australia with Herman's Hermits to pursue other interests. If you do have an original album of It's Four You, you will see that it is in fact The Beatnix. You can also find it and the various songs off the album elsewhere on You Tube under that name, and you can go to the channel of Bruce Coble (John Lennon) to see more of our live performances. Hope that helps!

    Paul McCartney had written World Without Love at the age 16 and he was dating a woman name Jane Asher...she was the sister of Peter Asher...Peter Asher and his friend Gordon Waller...He had give this song to Peter and Gordon to record as demo and record album of their own...Jane Asher and Paul McCartney had broken up because of Beatlemania...she could not stand it the screaming women chasing after Paul McCartney..She is still friends with Paul McCartney.

    Paul McCartney wrote this song for a popular duo, Peter and Gordon... Apparently Paul was dating Gordon's sister and he gave them the rights to them ._. and that song was probably their biggest hit.

    This is "The Beatnix" a Beatles cover band from Australia. The album is "It's Four You" They re-imagined the tracks Lennon & McCartney "gave away" to other artists - by recording the songs in the style the Beatles would have, and the production style of George Martin. To me, all their versions of these songs are pretty darn awesome, & give a sense of what they would have sounded like if performed by the Beatles.

    Paul wrote the song by himself while living at Jane Asher's house where Peter (her brother) also lived. The story goes he wrote it while the family was having breakfast.
    BTW - John hated the song.

    You got that right! I think John is amazing and have always considered him brilliant when it comes to music. But I actually lost respect for him when I found out he didn't like this song. How can I continue to respect John when he didn't like this song...I can't.

    • @worshipgeek
      @worshipgeek Před 2 lety

      John was very transparent about some things, and quite guarded about others. I'm sure he thought he was guarded about his envy for his writing partner's ability to craft a very serviceable (read "marketable") pop tune, but it was fairly obvious. He was very quick to put down Paul's "ditties" and other "granny music". He passed it off as folk-musician snobbery, as if songs that might play well on the radio were somehow less valuable as "art" than the deeper music he could produce. In fairness, he was just as dismissive of his own "pop" songs. He wanted to perpetrate an image of a hipster folk artist. Indeed he was one. And a genius. And preciously flawed like the rest of us. Unlike a lot of us, though, he was either courageous enough, or simply unable, to hide his blemishes. It's part of what made him, and the Beatles, the greatest pop phenomenon of all time.
