Thank you for another great video on how to sing God bless you and your ministry
Thanks ! On the guitar middle C (C4 right?) is second string first fret. C3 is 5th string third fret. This helps me since I don’t play piano. As a baritone I am trying to get my range up to E4. The exercises help.
what about breath reset after concert
How many reps from each exercise do you suggest before moving to the next? Thank you!!!!
It depends on how you do! This is just a snippet of exercises. It shoud be done throughout your range or most of it. If you do well with 1 exercise, go on to the next step. 15-20 minutes is a reasonable goal.
Now I get it! Random singing doesn't train my voice on a full range of notes, especially those higher soprano notes- that I avoid in random singing. Thanks Victoria!
I picked up soooo many bad habits from bad training and coaches who only pushed me but never taught proper technique/placement. Your exercises & methods have helped me to reconnect with my true voice that I thought was lost. Thankful for your talent, expertise, and willingness to share it us Ms Victoria!❤❤❤
One day I woke up and I told my self I what sing to the Lord but desire was not enough I approach the choir director of my church He said let's see he got behind the piano and play some notes totally lost not giving the notes and no hold the notes big fail He told to keep signing with the radio that happened 2020 But I'm stubborn I used to sing my own way with a guitar not knowing anything about notes I sung in a Hispanic choir since 2020 after few months for pandemic when it became possible I still singing my way because we most of Hispanic sing because like to pray the Lord I have been learning a lot since I follow you Victoria today I know the basic of singing Only problem I have been dealing with neck vertebrae issues and is been affecting my voice horsesenes voice for months Today I'm going for MRI to find out answer my hope some day I will be able to take your part of your knowledge and prove myself and the choir director that I could sing normal
Praying with and for you,friend
This exercise is my go-to every day! Wonderful getting me prepared for church choir this morning! 🎶 Thank you Victoria!
Great! I am so happy to know this! You should consider my audio exercise training program for much more!
Victoria, you are awesome and you have inspired me to keep trying and practicing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in a way that’s easy to follow and understand.
You are so welcome! Happy that my videos can help you so much!!
YOU ARE THE BEST!
Thank you!
You're the best 💖
Thank you, I’m starting this today! ❤
This is quite insightful, thank you
Just found you recently and finally I feel a difference. You have no idea how many singing programs I have paid for with no actual results (singing with freedom, tons of CZcams videos, etc).
I recently had a severe sinus infection (Sept 27th) that I got rid of after a week but has left me with a horse voice and only able to sing my low notes (I am an alto). Our annual Homecoming is this Saturday and for weeks I was worried but your gentle warm ups and tips are helping. Praying my voice will return soon and I know it will but I truly need to practice every day as we sing Southern Gospel and I need to strengthen my voice.
I can't wait to purchase your program at the end of this week.
Thanks so much for helping us free on CZcams 🤗❤️
Great music teacher and very good dresser.A fashionista ❤
Very sweet of you!
Hi Victoria it’s Bert from PH. Thank you so much for your awesome videos. You were a great teacher when you first started and now with your years of experience you are one of the best.
Hi, Bert! I recognized your name right away! Great to hear from you! I hope you are still knocking 'em dead with your singing!
Yep. Even have a couple of CDs on ITunes👍😊❤️

Awesome video! I'm sharing it with my whole worship team!
Thank you! I appreciate it! I hope they enjoy it!
Start exercises that work for you and not against you...sounds funny but the truth. Thank you, Ma'am, for putting together this video for vocal warm-up exercises. I can't appreciate enough how much your vocal techniques and exercises have helped changed the way I sing. God bless you, richly
Thank you Victoria, I was in sync with the scale you introduced as the start. You are a treasure ❤
So happy to hear! Thank you!

That was fun!
Great!
Hi dear Lady Rapanan, I enjoy so much your videos and all the wonderful tips you share with us. Many greetings from Paraguay 😊 May God bless you abundantly!
Thank you so much for your post! Blessings to you too!
I have been watching your videos and really appreciate your vocal coaching on CZcams. I was struggling pretty badly with soprano high notes, and my vocal technique needed polishing. My vocal coach can only do so much. I realize that it's up to me to do the work. I actually bought your online vocal exercises and practice the course daily. I just want to say thank you for offering this program ! My singing has greatly improved and I am ready to walk into my choir audition on August 19th with confidence and ready to sing!
Thank you again, Victoria, for offering the program and for your CZcams vocal coaching! 🤗
Comments like yours really make my work so satisfying! I am happy that I can help you so much!
First of all Thank you very much for the information you provide, your endless tips, exercises etc. Its all priceless. I keep practicing for about two years without paying a penny just by watching videos, listening, analyzing, recording and on. I do achieve certain results but it took me time before I found my formula and I could determine properly my own goals and before I could even find out which exercises are good and helpful and which are random, you and other coaches talk about. In this regard I have a question. Could you point out which exercises are random and useless and why? If I knew it right from the start I'd have committed less mistakes and save priceless time so far.
Thanks so much 👍
Different exercises work for different people, so I cannot advise what is best for you without seeing and hearing you. If you want to train on your own, you have to become sensitive to what your singing feels like and what the purpose of each exercise is. All of the exercises that I teach are very specific. The exercises in my audio exercise training program address specific needs. So my answer is to keep working with my videos or training program as you get to know your voice and what you need.
Thank you so much.. m learning a lot from you.. i have a problem and i hope u will help me out.. while singing my saliva fill my mouth and in some song we didnt get time to swallow it so it choked.. so plz give me some tips to control the saliva while singing..
"in the body' reminds me of Fritz Wunderlich who didn't say much about his singing but his 'lower everything' and 'sing down to the notes' sounds a bit like this. This is an excellent lesson and I'll certainly incorporate both the exercises and the strategies.
Glad you enjoyed the video and good luck! Keep up the good work!
Hello Victoria,
What is the time frame in doing warm ups before you sing thanks?❤
I sometimes do my warm up about a few hours before my gig.
Awesome! I'm going to buy the course! Question though: One coach said I was mezzo-soprano 20 years ago (I've taken quite the break from singing!) and my current coach said I was a high soprano. Is there a video that discusses this on your channel?
No, I do not because classifying a voice is not that simple. You can always order the soprano voice program and if it is too high, you can exchange for the alto/mezzo program within 30 days.
Thank you so much teacher.. Is this warm-up formula better than the previous one I learned from your videos, ..I mean there is a bunch of differences.. Again many thanks 🙏
This warm-up formula has not changed. The 3 steps are the same. As far as targeted exercises, I have hundreds of those.
@@Victoria-Victorious Thank you so deeply
I do better warming up with your guided instructions on this video than by myself listening to scales.
Great! Glad to hear that these warm-ups help out!
@@Victoria-Victorious Thank you!
Hi Victoria, can you please tell me what microphone or camera setup you use? Your audio is clear and I'd like to think about making my own videos in the future :) Thank you, much love!
I use a Rode lapel mic and will upgrade to their newest model.
So, can we use this exact template as a daily vocal warm-up longterm?
Yes, I use the 3 steps every day in my own warm-ups and with students. However, I would vary the exercises that you apply to the steps., depending on what your voice needs.
One thing I love to do is listen to music before going to sleep at night. I’ve always loved singing along but I have noticed that it’s pretty much impossible to sing decently laying down. More often than not it’s squeaky. I used to be in my school choir back when I was in school. I did enjoy performing. Then I was able to hit the high note in soprano. Now in my 30s it has gotten lower but it also depends on the song. Never understood why it is sometimes easier to hit a higher note and other times nothing comes out.
See my PLAYLIST on High Notes: Singing High Notes - EASIER, SOLID & MORE EXCITING! czcams.com/play/PLaWjWxiTysDDcjU4lWBKrhNlR1o2hCFmM.html
Stop straining on high notes!
I started watching your videos yesterday and now I'm confused on where to start since there a lot of videos. And how do I know if I have a tied tongue? How do I know what the perfect exercise for my voice is ?
Start with my Beginner Playlist!
Do you mean, when you say breeze, for me to say breeze? or do i keep saying byam? Are you just saying breeze just to say that like the excersize is a breeze? Don't want to get mixed up if im doing it wrong!! Thank you so much!!❤
Actually, I''m so sorry!! I didn't realize you were saying breath!! Sorry
Yes, I see your other reply. "Breathe". 😊
If a person has a tight throat while doing this exercise, how would you recommend they practice? With byam still or something else?
I cannot answer without seeing and hearing you. I have lots of videos on the tight throat. I recomend trying my 3-finger exercise. See this PLAYLIST: Throat, Tongue, Jaw & Neck Tension in Singing - Free up Your Voice!
czcams.com/play/PLaWjWxiTysDDDSGygoVWRk_IfZeFI71aj.html
Victoria, Okay to ask why that specific group of letters "Byam" (Beeyahm)?
Hi Bob! Yes, I used BYAM in another video and explained there. I made it up and I like it. The “B” boosts and energizes the tone, the “Y” arches the soft palate and combined with the “B” opens the back of the throat, and the “M” adds enough nasal resonance for a beautiful tone.
@@Victoria-VictoriousThanks so much!
👍👍👍👍👍👍
from which vowels combinations I can choose exept byam because it feels too strainy ?
Try YAH.
Dang you are so right, but it's work and Id rather just jump into singing LOL Time wise or repetitions on each step (2X) ?
Like I say in the video, I think 20 minutes total is a good and moderate goal. How much on each step depends on what you feel your voice needs. Some singers need to spend more time on Ascending, for example.
I just say doe, ray, me, fa, so, la, tea, doe forward & backward 49 times. I sound just like Sinatra.
Great!
And now that song is in my head. 🎶🎵🎶✖️When you know the notes to sing, you can sing anything.🎵🎶🎵🎶😂
Hi Victoria! I have this problem where I can't sing when I'm not following the song or somebody else. When I have something to follow I sound decent but when I try singing it myself it's just an off-key, cracky mess. How do I fix this? Do you have any videos on it or can you make one?
Have you tried practicing your songs with an accompaniment (karaoke) track? Perhaps you just need to have the accompaniment under you.
@@Victoria-Victorious I haven't but I'll have to give that a try. Thank you so much for being so responsive!
I use Do Ra Mi Fa So La Ti Do as my ascending warm up and I use Do Ti La So Fa Mi Ra Do as my descending warm up 😂😂
Great! Try different vowels next!
Do you have videos on belting?
Yes, I do! I've linked it below.
Healthy Belting - Exciting Belt! VICTORIA'S FORMULA!

I think I'm having trouble singing in mixed voice but I can sing in head voice because I've checked a voice analyzer and all my notes are in 3 and move to C4 and D4 but when I sing in head voice I can even reach G5 and sometimes notes with 6
Great! Work on your head mix and then continue to blend downward into your chest mix. PLAYLIST on Mixed Voice: czcams.com/play/PLaWjWxiTysDCCsBgnhWjfRRAWIPflxZp1.html
@Victoria-Victorious Thank you so much for this advice and I'll adhere to the lessons on the videos
are we supposed to use head or middle voice as we go higher?
It all depends on where you are in your range. It sounds like you need to work on your mixed voice. See my playlist on the Mixed Voice.
Hi , i am new here😊. I have no talent at all, i don't wanna be a singer but i like to sing...well, i wish i could sing. I would love to be able to sing decently for example if i go to a karaoke bar. Do you think even hopeless voices can learn how to sing? Thanks 😊
Here is my answer! CAN ANYONE LEARN TO SING? My 5 SECOND ANSWER! czcams.com/users/shortsanRIDzL6pnA
@@Victoria-Victorious but here's the question: can i learn Also to sing High pitched songs or each person has a different limit which can't be reached /surpassed, so you can Also learn to sing the Songs which are inside what they call "personal vocal range"?
If your show is at 8pm what time should you warm up your voice?
Every singer is different. I say 30 minutes before is a good choice.
@@Victoria-Victorious Thanks!
Hello, I have an interesting phenomenon. I don't know if it's common. But I can sing when I sing along to other people's voices. I have perfect breath support and everything is good. But I can't sing on my own? I can't crack the code of singing on my own. Whenever I listen to your warmups, I can do everything you can do, but if I turn the video off and try to do it again, I can't. And I have tried for 2 years to sing alone, and I can't do it. And all I wanna do is sing on my own because I need to start making music and taking vocal exercises. It is my dream. Can you help me with what to do?
Maybe try some speaking exercises and then sneak some singing in if it goes well. You can try some of the exercises in my Beginner Playlist. Just let your sound out and have fun!
@@Victoria-Victorious, thanks a lot. I will try
You might be a little tone deaf, use a piano, or keyboard, basically any instrument or a tone devise to get you started on your scales. After a while you will have trained your self to hit those notes.
@@AndyCal1, I respect the comment. I don't think I'm tone-deaf, but I will try anything if that makes me sing.
@@AndyCal1, wait I think you're right actually. Thank you
DO YOU KNOW HANK JR?❤
