@@chuckinhouston9952 I think that if road conditions inhibit safe driving, then it's best to respect the given presented situation and, more importantly, other people's lives by driving safely. Judging how people are still driving at higher than safe speeds, that indicates that they are not utilizing knowledge/common sense!

As a truck driver that's been out here 26 years, people used to show down. But last several years they will drive 65mph with Cruise on in middle of a blizzard or fog

Truckers do need more respect, (i'm not talking about the diversity hires that just hammer down full speed and dont use logic) i am talking about the drivers that call off and dispatch (non cdl holders) threaten to fire them. go ahead, warehouses only pay a few bucks less anymore. not worth it. even if a good truck driver too many bad 4 wheelers that dont slow down or use their "running lights"
@@kastrofamily6012 go slow and dont be afraid to tell dispatch that you are shutting down if you feel unsafe. you can cite safety and if they insist on dicipline, it falls under COERCION FMCSA (same as telling drivers to take over weight loads or unsafe equipment). No ones life is worth a trailer load, ppl can wait

ive lived in the center of NY state for 20 years. first 13 years i was here, all winter, the snow would accumulate all season, then melt and flood in spring. many days would be so cold that car doesnt start. tons of snow, and it never melted, not ever, all winter, every winter. the past 6-7 years, that's changed, now it melts between each snow, doesnt accumulate, and those bitter cold mornings where the car wont start just stopped. it's wild, i sometimes wonder if other places have had such noticible climate change

I hate how the news gets overly dramatic and makes winter weather into some sort of dire situation. Its snow and some wind, not the end of civilization. Just report the weather and leave all the unnecessary drama bs out of it.

We thought we where getting an easy winter. This always happens....when it seems like a light winter boom a storm rolls in and ends up taking lives. Im in Pensacola Florida. They closed all the schools down tomorrow as well as most government offices and medical offices. That is EXTREMELY abnormal for here. Hoping we dont get any tornadoes. Everyone be safe and if you're a praying type send some prayers up for everyone thats in the path of this thing.

This is called a weather report. It happens multiple times a day, everyday, depending on the network.
Why? Because ultimately weather doesn’t follow any exact pattern or schedule- and has become increasingly more common for extremes and significant changes in overall climate which has no impact or bearing on this particular weather report being exactly what it is. Thanks

Sounds rough. I sure don't miss that snow especially the first snow of the season. Everybody forgets how to drive in the snow during the summer. They always have to relearn how to drive in snow during the first snow fall of the season.

I am traveling the Chicago to Minneapolis path, which is where the storm is hitting but you don’t ever cover it. You gave most of the time to tornados and flooding down southeast.

We've seen no snow whatsoever on the ground in my metro-Detroit area suburb. Just a calm rain most of the day. December, we had maybe enough to cover a squirrels foot...then it melted 2 hours later. Last January was the same, with 8 days of rain to only 2 days of snow - each of which also melted quickly. The last several decades have been a far cry from my childhood, where it was much colder and snow used to sit on the ground from mid-December till late March every single year.
Seems like our winters are slowly becoming little more than a rainy season.
