Exposing the truth, no matter how embarassing or how inconvenient, should never be a crime and should never be punished. Julian Assange is a hero, even if perhaps the majority are too sheepish and sychophantically revere even abusive power and authority, to recognize this, or to recognize the importance and merit of allowing the governed to know the truth.
Kudos to Stella Assange, John Shipton and all those who struggled valiantly for his freedom, and who celebrate Julian's now long overdue release from unjust detention.
I personally, believe that Julian Assange is indeed one of our greatest heros in the struggle against evil, and (personally) feel slightly less wounded and slightly less oppressed, knowing the Julian has finally been freed. Thank you.

Very much glad he’s back in Australia, it’s unbelievable how the United States handled this case as a whole, it’s a disgrace to the American constitution and free speech/journalism and set a dangerous precedent.
Hopefully in the future countries begin to call out the US on its rights abuses just as they do to Russia and China, like this case and many others.
Australia must not be afraid to call America what it is, a train wreck and a disgrace.

Julian is INNOCENT. The Same Government trying to charge him, the same people who have threatened his life are the ones he was exposing, and we all know who are now. Republicans and Democrats. We see all of you.

Besides, there could be various DNAs in place for him to keep quiet on a variety of topics. The media are like vultures and will not leave him alone. Hope all will subdue as time goes by.

with the US Presidential election coming up in November, it would be very embarrasing for the US Federal Government to approach that event with Julian Assange a free man.
